A scream could be heard coming from a small room in a massive temple. Various nymphs could be seen running around inside the temple. It was the first time a Primordial was to give birth to another immortal. All of the Primordials were gathered outside of the room, waiting to see this young child.

The Primordial that was giving birth was none other than Gaea herself. Recently, she had fallen in love with Ouranos, the Primordial deity of the sky, and due to their love, she was now giving birth. This child was predicted by the almighty Chaos to be the most powerful child of any Primordial and would someday rival them in his own power.

All of the Primordials were excited to see the new immortal, especially the parents Gaea and Ouranos. Soon, there was another scream, but this one didn't come from the pain of the mother but rather, it was a high pitched scream coming from someone else.

Immediately, Ouranos rushed into the room where his wife sat with a bundle in her arms. He felt immense pride at seeing his son for the first time. The baby had a small tuff of black hair and strange green eyes that faded to light blue, it was so captivating it took all of Gaea and Ouranos' willpower to look away at the other Primordials coming into the room.

Each Primordial got their turn to hold the child and every time that the child was passed to someone new, the child smiled and laughed, even at Tartarus.

Eventually the child was passed around so that he was back in his mother's arms. He cooed at his mother and promptly fell asleep in her arms. "What should we name him my love?" Ouranos said to Gaea.

"Perseus," she replied. "My little destroyer."

A little while later, Perseus had grown up to be something completely different than any other immortal. Gaea decided that he was the first in a new species of immortal called Titans. Instead of being the same height as a Primordial, in his true form, Perseus was about 65 feet tall, while his father was roughly 100 feet in height.

The Primordials learned that how tall an immortal is in their true form represents how powerful they are. At Perseus' current strength, he was roughly three fifths as powerful as his father. The first hundred or so years was a tremendous learning experience for all of the Primordials, mostly Gaea and Ouranos. They learned a lot about how much effort it took to raise a kid, especially a powerful one like Perseus.

Pretty soon, Perseus grew into a young and very handsome immortal. Some of the other Primordials began to take a second look at him, not as a child to watch over but as a potential partner. Even with his great life so far, Perseus began to feel off. He couldn't explain why, it was like a part of him was missing.

Ouranos put great thought into why his child was feeling this way. He eventually stumbled upon the answer during one of the annual Primordial meetings. Ouranos looked around at all of the different thrones his brothers and sisters possessed. Every throne represented a domain that was possessed by the Primordial like a throne made out of rocks for Gaea, a mountain throne for Ourea, a pitch black throne for Erebus, and a pure white throne for Aether.

And it occurred to him that his son did not have a domain to call his own. Perhaps this could be the reason his son felt incomplete. After the meeting Ouranos returned down to earth in a gust of wind to where his son Perseus was swimming in a small lake.

"Perseus," The Primordial of the sky called out. Said Titan turned his head and smiled at his father. He quickly got out of the lake, dried himself off, and sat down next to his father on a fallen tree.

"Yes father," Perseus said.

"I have a good feeling as to why you may feel incomplete," Ouranos began. "It may have something to do with not having a domain."

"What do you mean?" The Titan inquired.

Ouranos took a deep breath and began to explain how each Primordial had their own domain to look after and how Perseus might feel incomplete because he has yet to receive a domain of his own. "So in conclusion, I am here to give you your domains."

Perseus was shocked to say the least. Ouranos placed two fingers on his son's forehead and power began to pulse through his fingers into Perseus. After the transaction was complete, Perseus fell to the ground groaning.

Once he got to his feet, Ouranos bellowed in a voice so loud that even Tartarus heard him, "Perseus! Your domains have been gifted! You are now the Titan of the sky, life, and observation and the heir to my position as a Primordial!"

The entire world celebrated that day. All of the Primordials gave their respects to Perseus by sending signs through their domain. The skies were clear, the day was bright, the sunset was beautiful, the night was quiet and peaceful, and nature danced in the wind.

Over the next century, Perseus had practiced every single day for hours upon end with his new powers. He had nearly mastered everything there was to know about his domains of life and of the sky. Ouranos, the Primordial deity of the sky and father to this young Titan came down every month to teach and test his son.

Ouranos taught his child about everything there was to know about the powers he had. This included, controlling the winds, generating storms, and producing lightning. Along with powers associated with the domain of the sky, Ouranos also taught Perseus about magic and how to fight. Pretty soon, Perseus had mastered magic and kept coming closer and closer to beating the Primordial of the sky in combat. He increased his magical power so much so that he could cast spells that affected everything around him, including other Primordials.

While Perseus' father taught him about magic, his domain of the sky, and fighting, his mother taught him about the language of the Primordials. This language could be used to enhance the magical abilities of an immortal and was the language that was dominantly spoken by Primordials.

His mother also taught him about the way the world works, how every single plant lives together in perfect harmony and how each Primordial interacts with their own domain.

Perseus, with his new knowledge, began to create new creatures that roamed all across the Earth, he called them animals. He gave life to four different animals, falcons, bears, panthers, and sharks. All the Primordials were so grateful to have animals in their domain, they finally had some excitement in their lives. Some of the Primordial beings decided to try and create their own animals so their domains can be more active than they were before.

Over the next couple hundred years, Gaea and Ouranos had more children, some were very similar to Perseus while the others were almost nothing like him. The main difference however, was that these children were much weaker than the first Titan.

Overall, there were twelve other Titans born from Gaea and Ouranos. The male Titans consisted of Kronos, Krios, Koios, Iapetus, Hyperion, and Oceanus while the females consisted of Rhea, Phoebe, Themis, Theia, Tethys, and Mnemosyne. Each of these new Titans stood at about 45 feet tall, symbolizing that they were powerful but not quite as powerful as Perseus.

Perseus received specific instructions from his mother to help her teach the new immortals an entirely new language. When he asked why he couldn't teach his brothers and sisters the language of the Primordials she responded by telling him that they would not be able to speak it as they were not powerful enough to use the words written out by Chaos himself.

So he helped his mother teach them a new form of language. Mnemosyne was especially good at learning this new language, hence Gaea gave her the domains of memory, remembrance, and language. Tethys became the titaness of fresh water and nursing, Theia became the titaness of sight and the ether of the bright blue sky, Themis was the titaness of divine law, order, and customs, Phoebe became the titaness of prophetic radiance, and Rhea became the titaness of fertility, motherhood, comfort, and ease.

The male titans also received their domains relatively shortly after they were born. Kronos became the titan of time, Oceanus became the titan of the sea, Hyperion became the titan of light, Krios became the titan of the stars and constellations, Koios became the titan of farsight, intellect, knowledge, and lord of the north, and finally Iapetus became the titan of mortality.

Gaea and Ouranos also gave birth to six other children, three of them had a hundred hands and fifty heads, the other three were very large creatures that had one singular eye in their forehead. The three hundred handed ones were called Hecatoncheires and the others were called cyclops'.

It was quickly discovered that both the Hecatoncheires and the Cyclops' were great at tinkering and crafting. Perseus trained them in how to make magical items but pretty soon after, they outclassed Perseus in craftsmanship by a long shot. Still, they were grateful to the first Titan for helping them out.

As a gift, the Cyclops and Hecatoncheires all pitched in and made Perseus a staff that was supposed to help channel his power.

For a time, there was great peace in the world. Perseus taught his siblings about how to use their powers such as teleportation, how to manipulate their physical form, how to use some magic, and most importantly how to fight. Of course Perseus didn't teach everything he knew to his titan siblings, he didn't feel that they were worthy enough to use rune magic or powerful enough to use the language of Primordials.

Strangely, Ouranos and Gaea started to have arguments on everything and anything. Over a long amount of time, this led Gaea to start to hate Ouranos with a burning passion. These arguments started to turn into fights that led to countless animal lives lost and unnecessary destruction to the landscape.

In Gaea's anger, she asked the Hecatoncheires and the Cyclops to make a weapon powerful enough to kill Ouranos. Not wishing to get on the bad side of their mother, they made the weapon but Gaea did not ask them to keep it a secret. They ended up telling Perseus of the weapon made, who in turn told his father.

Ouranos in his rage threw the Hecatoncheires and the Cyclops into Tartarus. Perseus begged and pleaded with his father to release his brothers, saying that they only were following the instructions of Gaea and it wasn't of their own free will. The Primordial of the sky paused for a second, overthinking his decision.

"They didn't even oppose Gaea or ask about her intentions, they need to think about what they've done," Ouranos replied and disappeared in a gust of wind.

Perseus quickly summoned his staff and drew a circle with a smaller circle inside of it. Then he outstretched his hand and whispered, "Tartarus".

From the rune came a bright white light and a portal opened up in front of Perseus. He quickly stepped through and the portal closed behind him.

Perseus emerged in the rough terrain of Tartarus. After looking for hours, he finally found the Hecatoncheires and Cyclops sitting by a small fire. He rushed towards them and explained what had happened. "Please forgive me," The Titan said to his brothers.

"It was not your fault Perseus," A hundred handed one, Cottus, said. "It was our father and our mother, if they hadn't fought then we wouldn't be here."

With that settled, Perseus thanked his brothers and returned to the surface of the world. He knew that it was not a good idea to further anger his father so he promised his siblings that he would one day help them as payment for Ouranos throwing them in Tartarus.

It was about this time that Gaea had called for a meeting of all of the Titans except for Perseus. All of the children of Gaea flashed into a clearing filled with grass and colourful flowers.

All of the Titans were very confused on why this meeting was called, they started murmuring to each other trying to guess what was happening. All of their voices were silenced by a slight rumble in the ground and out of the ground formed Gaea.

Her children began asking questions like "Why are we here?" and "What is this meeting about?"

Gaea raised an eyebrow and tapped her foot, waiting for her children to act like civilized immortals. Eventually they realized she wasn't going to say anything until they quieted down so they shut their mouths and sat down onto the grassy land.

"As you all know, me and Ouranos have been having fights," Gaea began. "And just recently, he has thrown your brothers, the Cyclops and Hecatoncheires into Tartarus."

There were cries of outrage among the Titans. "How dare he!" shouted Oceanus. "Something needs to be done about this!" Themis yelled.

Gaea raised a hand to quiet down her children. Just as the other Titans became silent, one of them leaned forward and placed his head on his fist. This was Kronos, the youngest son of the two Primordials. Kronos held a face of not anger or resentment, but of interest. Why would his father throw the best crafters into Tartarus?

"Why?" Kronos asked his mother.

Gaea said that Ouranos got really mad and disregarded the rules that they had set forth for their children. She then summoned a wicked looking weapon, it was a long pole with a sharp blade at its end. Kronos's eyes gleamed when he saw the weapon summoned by his mother.

"This is a weapon, made by those who were cast into Tartarus. Which leads me to why I have called this meeting. I need volunteers to help overthrow your father," Gaea said.

Immediately, all of the female Titans excused themselves and left the clearing, murmuring to themselves. Oceanus then left, saying something about building a palace under the ocean. As soon as Oceanus left, Kronos stood up to his full height, which was still pretty short for a Titan, and strode forward toward his mother.

"I will kill him for you mother," The youngest Titan said. "And my brothers here will help me."

Said brothers got up on their feet and strode forward, all with cruel expressions on their faces. One way or the other, they were going to rule the next age of immortals.

Hyperion then stepped forward toward his mother and younger brother, who was feeling the scythe with his hands, "What of Perseus, he will surely not support us."

Kronos paused, unsure of what should be done with his elder brother, "In truth, I do not know Hyperion. He is too powerful for us to fight alone and like you said, he will never go against father."

"Do not worry about Perseus my children," The Primordial of the Earth assured her offsprings. "I will deal with him. Now onto more important matters. How will we dethrone your father?"

All of the remaining immortals looked to Kronos due to him being the craftiest of all of the Titans. Still holding his scythe he looked towards his mother, "I believe our best option would be to lure him into a trap, making him believe that you are going to try and fix things between you two. Then me and my brothers will ambush him."

Gaea and the other Titans smiled at the plan that was so cleverly created by Kronos. It was decided, Gaea would lure Ouranos down to the surface of the world, making him believe that Gaea still loved him, then Kronos would pop out with his scythe and cut down his father right then and there.

Preparations were made, Gaea sent two letters to Ouranos and Perseus. The letter to Perseus claimed that she wished to speak with him alone and at the top of a mountain in the far south eastern corner of the home land of the Titans on an island at sunset. The letter to Ouranos said that she wished to make it up to Ouranos and try to make things right between them.

When Perseus received his letter a couple days later, he immediately traveled to where his mother said to meet and waited for the sunset. He was curious to what she needed to talk to him about, normally she would just grow out of the ground wherever he was and start talking with him.

Nonetheless, Perseus, not wishing to waste any time, immediately teleported to the top of the mountain. At the top of the mountain was a cave that seemed too suspicious to Perseus, but he trusted his mother and headed to the entrance.

He had a bad feeling about this, so he turned around and took one last look at the light Hemera and Aether brought to the world. After getting a good look at the peaceful world, he turned around again and went straight into the cave.

Almost immediately, chains wrapped around his arms and yanked him off of his feet, dragging him further and further into the cave. Perseus tried to break free but everytime he tried to use any magic or any power, he felt a sharp pain in his head. Pretty soon, it became too dark for Perseus to see anything around him and all he felt was the chains wrapped around his arms and the rough floor beneath him.

As a last ditch effort, Perseus tried to take his divine form to burst out of his chains. He started to glow golden until the light exploded and started to melt all of the rock in the cave, but as a surprise to Perseus, the chains did not melt. Realizing he had no choice but to sit back and accept his fate, he transformed back into his normal form and continued to be dragged across the floor.

After a couple more minutes of being dragged along the rough floor of the cave, he stopped. Two new chains also bound his legs so he could just barely move into a sitting position on the floor.

After another couple more minutes of sitting in silence and the darkness, a light appeared in the darkness. It was Gaea, holding a candle with a small flame protruding from the top.

"Mother, why am I here?" Perseus asked the Primordial in front of him.

Gaea smirked at her son who lay helpless on the ground, "You are here because you stand in the way of my plan."

Perseus cocked his head to the side, "Your plan?"

"Yes, my son Kronos is going to overthrow Ouranos and kill him," Gaea stated simply.

The Titan of the sky was astounded, "What!? You plan to kill my father? Your husband? Please don't do this, he is a good person. He just needs a little guidance, please!"

Gaea waved her hand in the air and rolled her eyes, "Well he hasn't been much of a husband lately I'll tell you that. And he will pay the price for slandering me, there is nothing you can do to stop me!"

Perseus tried one last time to break free of his binds but to no avail and a single tear rolled down his cheek, "It appears you are right Mother, there is nothing I can do to stop you, or my brother from harming my father but as you know well enough, nothing lasts forever." Then for the first time ever, the most powerful Titan's face shifted into one of pure rage.

Even with all of the rage inside of Perseus, he spoke in a calm and deadly voice, "And when I am set free of these chains, I will slaughter all of you, just like you did to my father. You will not be able to stop me in the future."

Gaea's face paled and she quickly left Perseus after his threat to kill everyone, leaving him to his own thoughts.

In another place in the world, the day after Perseus was imprisoned, a gust of wind blue across the land at a very fast speed. This gust of wind then formed into the Primordial deity of the sky. Ouranos landed in a large field with rolling hills far off in the distance bushes growing at random parts in the grass. Gaea then appeared out of the ground and smiled up at him.

"Do you really mean to make up?" Ouranos asked his lover.

"Of course I do," Gaea responded in a bitter sweet tone and placed her hand on Ouranos' shoulder. The couple disappeared and reappeared in a small clearing in a dense forest. They sat and talked for a couple minutes about how they would reconstruct their broken relationship until suddenly, Gaea stood up and walked a couple feet away from Ouranos.

"Now!" She shouted to her sons, who were hiding behind various trees and bushes. Hyperion jumped from behind a tree and tackled his father, pinning one of his arms to the ground. Iapetus then ran over and pinned his father's leg to the ground, Krios immobilized the other arm, and Koios did the same with Ouranos' other foot.

"What trickery is this?" Ouranos shouted from beneath his four sons.

Not wasting anymore time, Kronos walked out from behind another tree and strode forward with his scythe in hand, "Poor father, it would seem you are in quite the predicament."

"Kronos! Get these Titan's off of me and your punishment will be less severe!" said Ouranos.

"You are in no place to bargain father," Kronos spat. "Your time as ruler of this world is over, and I will take my rightful place as king!"

"If you do this, then your child will strike you down. The same way you are doing with me," Ouranos yelled at Kronos. Kronos, not believing what his father said, brought the scythe down onto Ouranos, spilling the silver ichor of a primordial.

When Kronos was done, Ouranos was nowhere to be found, there was only a large mass of ichor and small body parts laying on the ground. He raised his blood stained scythe and shouted, his brothers then began celebrating the dawning of a new age of rulers while Gaea stood in the background, smiling at her children.

Pretty soon, the Hecatoncheires and the Cyclops were freed from Tartarus by Kronos and in their thankfulness, built him a huge castle on top of a mountain. Kronos then named his castle and the mountain the center of all the Titan power, calling it Mount Othrys.

Kronos ordered the construction of a throne room for his brothers and sisters so that they might rule the world their own way. He also gave out special positions to his brothers that helped him kill their father. Each of these brothers represented one of the pillars that held up the heavens from the earth below it. Hyperion represented the pillar of the east, Krios represented the pillar of the south, Koios represented the pillar of the north, and Iapetus represented the pillar of the west.

In time, the male and female Titans began to have feelings for each other and started to have kids.

First came Hyperion and Theia, together they had three offsprings named Helios, Selene, and Eos. Helios became the Titan of sun, charged with driving the sun chariot across the sky everyday for however long Kronos wanted. Their next child was Selene, the Titaness of the moon, and was charged with driving the moon chariot across the sky, everynight for however long the Titan King wanted her to. The third child, Eos, was the Titaness of the dawn, and helped her brother and sister do their duties.

Then came Oceanus and Tethys, together they had multiple offsprings as well. First off were the Oceanids who were nymphs of the ocean who helped to guard it against any unwelcome immortal. The next children were the Potamoi who were lesser Titans and nymphs that kept watch over the rivers and lakes of the world. And lastly, they had a daughter named Clymene, who was the Titaness of renown, fame, and infamy.

Koios and Phoebe also had two children together, their names were Leto and Asteria. Asteria became the Titaness of falling stars and astronomy while Leto became the Titaness of motherhood and a protector of the young.

Krios married a minor sea deity and bore several children by the names of Perses, Pallas, and Astraeus. Perses was named the Titan of destructions, Pallas was named the Titan of battle and warcraft, which Kronos valued a lot, and Astraeus was named the Titan of dusk and winds.

Iapetus married Clymene, a daughter of Oceanus, and had children by the names of Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius. Atlas became the Titan of endurance and quickly became Kronos' first lieutenant, Prometheus became the Titan of forethought, Epimetheus became the Titan of afterthought, and Menoetius became the Tian of violent anger and rash actions.

There were many more children made from the Titans who were in control of the world. For a time, there was great peace in the land of the Titans, there were no wars, no deception, and everybody had forgotten about Perseus.

This peace lasted for thousands of years and Kronos turned out to be a great ruler. He always put his people first and made sure everyone's lives were as comfy as possible. However, around the two thousand year mark, Kronos started to get greedy and arrogant, he thought that since he was king he could take whatever he wanted from whoever he wanted.

Most of the other Titans just ignored it or perhaps, didn't even know about it, but the ones who did, distanced themselves from the Titan king. One of these Titans was Selene, the titaness of the moon.

She enjoyed staying up on her moon chariot and looking over the land running beneath her chariot. Selene felt completely at peace when she was up in the air with the soft wind blowing through her silver hair and pale face.

Just like any other day, she flew her moon chariot across the sky and watched the land beneath her, but this time her attention was brought to the top of a mountain. There was a small flashing light coming from a large cave.

Curious as to what the light was, she steered the wind spirits that pulled her chariot closer to the top of the mountain. Once she landed on a patch of rock the light suddenly stopped flashing and the cave went completely dark.

The cave looked very haunting to her and she debated whether she should go in or not. Eventually, her curiosity got the better of her and she entered the pitch black cave. Once she was inside, she took out her silver bow and watched as the light emitting from the bow illuminated her surroundings.

The cave had jagged walls with random long spikes of rock sticking out, the same went with the ceiling but the floor had no spikes and was only slightly rough, like something heavy had been dragged across it.

Selene continued her search of the cave until she got to a large, open area with a somewhat smoother floor. Slowly, she drew an arrow and pulled it back, ready to shoot anything that came out at her. As she made her way across the room, she stepped on something and it made a loud clanking noise as she did.

She looked down and saw that there were chains on the ground. Clearly this place is some sort of prison, that would explain her desire to not enter the cave Selene thought.

She decided to follow the chain to see who or what was being imprisoned in this cave. Curled into a ball against a wall, was a lone figure who appeared to have not noticed her yet. Selene stepped closer to the figure, attempting to see the face of the immortal chained up when suddenly the figure sprang up and launched itself at the Titan in front of it. Selene released her arrow in fright and was very surprised to see the arrow bounce off of the skin of the figure. Luckily, the chains that were wrapped around its limbs did not allow the figure to reach her.

The figure was yanked back by the chains and thrown back onto the floor. Selene then took out her dagger and placed the cool metal against the back of the figure, who she identified as a male.

"Calm down, I am not here to hurt you," Selene said to the male on the ground in a sweet and calming voice. His shoulders released their tension briefly before retensing up and slowly turning around.

As soon as Selene could see his face, she immediately dropped the knife that was pressed against the figures chest. He was the most handsome figure she had ever seen, even surpassing her own brother, Helios, and he was the Titan of the sun.

"Are you going to continue to stare at me or are you going to tell me why you're here?" The person in front of Selene said.

Selene shook herself out of her trance and retrieved her knife from the ground. She sheathed her knife and placed her bow on the ground. Selene then slowly sat on the ground in front of the mysterious immortal, "I'll tell you why I'm here when you tell me who you are."

The male in front of her heaved a sigh of annoyance and began to recount his story, he told her of who he was, most of his past, and that his family eventually betrayed him. When he was finished with his story, Selene was shocked. She knew that Kronos was a bad person but to craft a plot against his own brother for power was disgusting. Mother Gaea was also in the wrong but Selene was a little more conserved about her feelings toward her since Gaea was a Primordial and could squash her like an ant.

"I told my part of the story, now tell me yours," The newly identified Perseus said.

"My story isn't nearly as…exciting as yours," She began while Perseus snorted. "Well my name is Selene and I'm the Titaness of the moon."

Perseus figured that she must have been a child of one of his brothers or sisters, it wasn't that surprising that the Titans would have children with each other. He and his father had predicted it long before they were old enough to even wield weapons of their own.

Thinking of his father brough Perseus back to the memories of the old days, when Ouranos taught him everything that he knew. The days when he could roam the world, free of any kind of restraints and responsibilities.

Selene told him what little backstory she had and Perseus couldn't help but feel a bit envious of her, to be in voluntary confinement from the rest of the Titans was probably what he would have done if he wasn't thrown into prison by his own mother. Perseus sighed, no matter how much he hated his predicament, he had to deal with it, this was his life now. He wished he could be flying up in the air, feeling the soft and wet particles of the clouds move over his skin.

As she continued with her backstory, he also felt a great sense of admiration toward her. She had refused the evil and tyrannical ways of his siblings and had attempted to do good deeds, despite Kronos not wanting her to get involved in affairs.

Selene told him all about the modern day and about how much the Titans influence the world around them. They control monsters, have continuous fights, and bicker about literally everything.

"They are doomed," Perseus interrupted. It was very clear to him what would happen to the reign of the Titans if they continued to act in a disorderly fashion.

Selene looked at him incredulously, "What do you mean, they are too powerful for any monster to defeat and you're stuck here. So what, or rather who, could bring an end to them?"

"I do not know exactly what will happen, but fate always has a way to fix the wrongs, and the Titans are in the wrong. Something will happen soon that will change the course of the world," Perseus responded. "I can feel the effects setting in place. One of my domains as a Titan is observation, so if I focused on the outside world, I can sense and see things that others cannot."

The Titaness of the Moon didn't know how to respond to that, but it did make sense that if Kronos continued his evil ways, then somebody would take a stand against him. Over the next century, Perseus' prediction came to pass.

Kronos had refused to have children with his wife, Rhea, because he was afraid of the curse set upon him by his father. However, his greed and lust got the better of him and he and Rhea bore six children. These children were said among the Titans to be different, not only were the children better looking than the average Titan child, but they exuded a different type of aura. Their aura was one of ever changing emotion, instead of the cold and harsh aura that came off of ordinary Titans.

Although, soon after all of these children were born, Kronos ate them and then moved on in his daily life like eating babies was something that he did on a weekly basis. Rhea was completely heartbroken at seeing that her children were being eaten one by one, and that none of the other Titans cared enough to help or even comfort her. Rhea remembered whenever she felt down on herself, it was Perseus to help calm her down. She also remembered that Perseus was imprisoned by mother Gaea on top of a mountain on an island named Crete, so that was where she was headed.

Rhea hoped that Perseus could forgive her, he had always been so wise and such a perfect teacher to all of them that they all looked up to him when they were kids, but somewhere down the line, her siblings gained a lust for power that they hadn't had before. She attempted to act like them so as to not be singled out and bullied by the others, but recently, they had crossed a line that she could not follow.

Currently, Rhea was running away from the Titan palace, Mount Othrys, with a small bundle in her arms. She had just tricked her husband into thinking that he ate their most recent child but instead she fed him a rock that was wrapped in the same bundles she used for her children. Kronos bought it and swallowed the rock whole, not giving it a second thought before returning to his golden throne in the center of the palace.

She hopped onto her chariot, which was pulled by two golden lions and fled through the dark forest surrounding the palace. She was still very weak after giving birth for a sixth time. After what seemed like forever, Rhea came to the shoreline of the continent and mustered up all of her strength to try and flash herself and her son to the top of the mountain on Crete.

All she could manage was flashing to the base of the mountain, completely exhausted by the events of the day she laid down on the soft grace and stared up to the sky with her son in her arms, sleeping quietly. Rhea saw a soft silver light floating closer to her, gradually getting brighter and brighter as it neared. She just whispered one word to the floating light, "Perseus", before passing out in sheer exhaustion.

Selene was surprised to find the Titan Queen all the way out here on the island of Crete, passed out with a bundle in her arms. Even more surprising was that the last words she said before she passed out was "Perseus". She decided to quickly take Rhea up to where Perseus was imprisoned, wanting his opinion on what she should do with the Titan Queen. Selene realized that she would be late to her duties and face the wrath of Kronos but she really did not want to leave the Titaness of Motherhood and Generation to be left out in the cold at night.

Perseus' cave had been completely transformed from the prison it had once been to a small and cozy home. There was a hearth in the center of the room, that somehow sustained itself without any attention, and emitted a soft glow, making the house feel even warmer than it actually was. There was a stove, a couple pots and pans, and a table on the far left side of the room. On the right side was a couple chairs that were all facing the hearth, like it was made for people to sit down and have a good time around the hearth.

Then, in the far back of the humble home of the sky Titan was a bed that Selene placed the mother Titan and her child. Perseus had been able to, with the help of Selene, tear the chains off the wall, he was still bound by the chains to not leave the cave, but how he could walk around and move his arms.

"Selene, why is my sister here?" Perseus said. He looked at his sister on his bed and saw that she was holding a small bundle in her arms that looked to be a baby. "And why is she holding a child?"

Selene turned to look at him while he was sitting in a chair facing the hearth, "I don't know, I found her at the base of the mountain. I have to go so I was hoping you could take care of her."

Perseus nodded his head and with some clinking of his chains, he walked over to his sister and took the child from her arms and placed a blanket over Rhea. He held the child carefully in his arms, the baby had electric blue eyes and a small tuff of black hair. As soon as the baby set eyes upon him, Perseus knew that this child would be the one to end the terrible reign of Kronos and his siblings.

He sat by the hearth with the baby laying calmly in his arms, absorbing the warmth that was given by the fire. A couple hours later, Rhea bolted upright on the bed and began to look around Perseus' cozy home.

"There is no need to worry dear sister," the male Titan said. "I have taken the liberty to calm your child down and feed him." Perseus got up and began to move towards his sister. The baby, noticing that he was no longer as warm as when he was sitting next to the hearth, began to cry out. He handed over the child to Rhea who instantly began to cradle him and whisper soothing words to calm down the very loud child.

"Now," Perseus said as he brought up a chair to the bedside. "Tell me why you are here."

Rhea explained to Perseus about how the Titans had turned into terrible people and how Kronos had eaten all of their children except for the one that she brought, Zeus. She explained how she tricked Kronos and ran away from the palace to hide him away.

She placed her child on the bed and then slid onto the floor on her knees, proceeding to beg Perseus to help her raise the child.

"So you leave me in this prison for thousands of years and then when you need me, you come begging for help. It sounds like you're just using me to get what you want," Perseus said with an emotionless face. No matter what, Perseus was going to help his younger sibling, he loved her and wished for her to be happy. He just wanted his sister to see the faults in her actions, even if she purposely acted like other Titans to avoid bullying, it was still wrong to do so.

Rhea's face paled and she began to cry, whispering that she was sorry for everything that she had ever done wrong. Unable to take it anymore, Perseus got down on the floor next to her and wrapped his arms around her, holding her as she cried her heart out on his shoulder. After a full hour of hugging and crying, Rhea finally stopped and sat on the floor with her back leaning against the bed.

"Rhea, I will help you take care of your child. I wanted you to see the faults in your previous actions and now, I think you have," Perseus said. "Although, I do not want him to know who I truly am. All he will know is that I am an immortal that was imprisoned long ago and that I will be taking care of him."

The Titaness of motherhood was overjoyed at the news she heard, her son, Zeus, would be raised by the wisest and most powerful Titan to ever exist.

"Since I cannot leave this cave," Perseus began. "I cannot watch him all the time. We would need some other people to help keep an eye on him." Rhea nodded her head, expecting as much. "Back at my old house is my staff, there should be enough magic left in my staff to be able to cast a few spells. I want you to draw a horn in the dirt next to a forest here on Crete. New lifeforms will rise to help you. In the meantime, I will take care of Zeus."

Rhea again nodded her head in understanding, she traveled to the remains of Perseus' old house, which looked less like a house and more like an ancient ruin. Then again, the last time it was touched was thousands of years ago so Rhea thought it classified as an ancient ruin. Everything had moss and other types of vegetation growing all over it, except for one large wooden stick. It looked to have been just made from a tree and had spectacular designs all over it. This had to have been Perseus' staff, not only did it look the part, there was an aura power that was more powerful than most Titans around it.

She went to grab it but found that the staff itself was resisting her touch, nonetheless, she pushed as hard as she could and finally placed her hand around the thick staff. All resistance suddenly vanished as if it was never there in the first place.

The Titaness then flashed herself back to Crete and drew a horn in the dirt next to a forest, just like Perseus said. The forest started to sway as the horn began to glow brighter, the bushes and trees started to peel themselves open as people suddenly stepped out of them.

They claimed that they were called satyrs created by Perseus to help protect the wild and nature. She explained to them the situation she was facing, how the Titans became evil and Perseus wished for them to help her raise her child. The satyrs agreed to help raise the boy, mainly because it was what Perseus wanted them to do. One satyr in particular stepped up and spoke for the rest when they said they were eager to help. This satyr introduced himself as Pan, the God of the wild and nature, and most loyal servant of Perseus.

And thus began the beginning of Zeus' childhood. Zeus was taught reading, writing, history, and combat by Perseus in his cave and was taught everything else by the satyrs and his mother, Rhea.

Selene also stopped by many times to talk with Perseus and Rhea and to help train the young boy that was destined to overthrow his father. She eventually asked to bring her brother to the island which Perseus agreed to right away. Helios was in awe at the revelation that the most powerful Titan ever to exist was sitting right in front of him. He kept bowing and kissing up to the Titan of the sky, which Perseus found amusing and irritating at the same time.

Zeus was an innocent child, not yet touched by the corruption of anger and power. However, that would change very soon. Perseus was just getting to the part in history class where Kronos ate all of his children and no doubt, Zeus will get angry at his father. He will want to free his siblings from the belly of Kronos and take revenge.

The Titan was right, Zeus became angry and there was little that Perseus could do to stop the young immortal from facing his father and freeing his siblings. Seeing that Zeus could not be stopped, Perseus elected to help him plan his infiltration into the Titan stronghold. Rhea was of course hesitant to let her son out of her sight, but she knew that she could not stop her son so while Zeus disguised himself as a cupbearer and gained the King of the Titan's trust, she went up to Perseus' cave and confided her worries to him.

The first Titan sat her down on his bed and placed his arm around his younger sibling's shoulder, he said that everything was going to be fine and that Zeus should be able to free his siblings. Perseus also told her that he had told Zeus more about the world than he should've, Zeus should be going out in the world and exploring it for himself, not cooped up in a cave in learning about them. That is why Perseus did not want her other children coming to him and seeking more knowledge, they must find it for themselves or else they will never survive on their own; however, that didn't mean he couldn't guide them.

Rhea wanted to protest and say that Perseus' teaching was second to no one, she would know since she learned from him as well, but after seeing the conviction in his answer, she decided not to argue. Maybe this was for the best. Perseus knew that if Zeus and his siblings were to take their place as rulers of the world then they needed to find out who they were, without someone telling them the answers.

Zeus soon returned to the island of Crete with five other immortals with him, his siblings. They each were given powerful weapons that were crafted by the Elder Cyclopes and the Hekatonkaires, and with these weapons they gained Titan allies, such as Selene and Helios. With weapons and tons of allies ranging from Titans to satyrs, the newly named "Gods" waged war on the Titans.

The Gods ended up triumphing over their predecessors and remade the world into a better place than it was before. When Rhea came back from the Gods' coronation and said that Zeus had imprisoned or killed every single Titan that didn't side with him, Perseus was furious.

How dare Zeus go against all that Perseus has taught him, there were many Titans that did not choose a side and Zeus imprisoning them as well was not a good sign. Zeus probably was already being corrupted by the power he held over the world.

Selene and Helios got to keep their positions as they brought the sun and moon around the Earth. They were happy about that and refused to complain about anything the new Gods asked them for, mostly because the conditions of their work schedule were a little bit more lenient than before.

Overall, the Gods accomplished bringing about a better world, although they didn't always use the right methods to do so.

A/N: I wanted to see some people's reaction to a story idea I had, so I published this.
