It was shocking, not at the fact that my existence was a game, I could remember this happening a thousand times before, only the first dozen or so were actually mind boggling. I was always dazed by the influx of memories before I went back under, sometimes I would sit and process the mistakes of my new life, but when you are in a space of nothingness, the only entertainment being the Floating words that lead to a new life… You get the point. This time was shocking because it was one of less than a dozen times that I was cut short of my goals. I didn't become rich, I didn't get a serious girlfriend, and I never achieved true happiness. The options were ranging from great to bad, on one hand Asgardian Honor would allow increased relations when I met with people aware of Asgard, but that is where the uses ended, I wouldn't be able to claim the hammer often. Born the Superior Man and Natural Sorcerer seemed to be like they would allow me to either be very strong off the get and grow my strength in a specific field quickly but my focus shouldn't just be one aspect of my life. Let's not talk about the last two. So gotta be.

Quickly Accepting the Quest I stood to get ready, my mind accepting the knowledge of not only the situation but also assimilating the barebones experience the person I was now had lived to this point. I autopiloted to the bathroom, showering before throwing on my clothes. Within 10 minutes of my spawn I was out the door and wandering around, the location of my apartment in a shabby neighborhood, the nearest street sign reading.

I looked down the street as my fear rose, recognizing the location not only from my current life but also because of a terrible show. There, looking like a garage with a dingy sign hanging above it.

I raced through the possibilities, on one hand I could leave and never come back, abandoning this quest and not complication my life from the start, on the other hand this would be the perfect first step, making myself strong at a place that could teach me about strength till I could go farm a Dungeon was just good game sense… Before I could change my mind I found myself standing in a room with a padded floor, watching as a group of clear trainees going through basic kendo kata. The leader clearly noticed me but continued to teach the lesson, I analyzed her for a moment, a pop up obscuring my vision.

Someone cleared their throat. I look up brought out of my observation and now aware that the class had ended and it was just me and her.

"Hello there, I am Colleen Wing, the sensei of this dojo and teacher of Kendo and Karate." She stated as a fact seemingly wanting to get down to brass tax.

"I am Harald, I wish to learn from you so that I can learn control and how to defend myself, I am an emancipated adult so my signature should be sufficient." A lame answer but to the point.

"Hmm, okay I will allow for you to participate in the beginner class tomorrow at 10 AM, after which I will decide your class placement. At the end of the week you can decide if you wish to learn here and I will expect payment for the month." She walked me towards the door at this point, the soft ping of a quest being completed just a background noise of our conversation.

"Thank You, I'll see you tomorrow then." I walked back to my apartment as I read the notice.

I slumped after returning to my apartment, the relief of not being murdered day 1 overshadowed by the knowledge that I could become strong here. And you know what they say, the first quest is always… Always the hardest.

Author's Note: A New story, I am sorry for the dropping of my other stories, my job makes me forget my artistic integrity, maybe if I get reinspired I'll Pick em back up. But this is a new day and I really love the Gamer Power and figured why not make my own spin on the concept. And I decided that my original chapter format was barebones so why not beef it up while I'm up.
