Chapter 38: Ochaco vs Aunt Lydia
Ochaco yelled at she'll hit her aunt before launching herself toward her aunt, but she kept getting knocked back by her aunt's staff. Soon, Ochaco get back up and keeps running toward her screaming I'll hit you multiple times until her aunt laughs and start to mock her, causing Ochaco to think about becoming friends with Deku and the others before tears start running down her cheeks after one last hit with a beam from the staff before Lydia turns to deal with something else. However, Ochaco remembers what Deku said to everyone before their first fight with the Devil Brats and became determine as she starts to think about what Deku would do in this situation, which caused her to get an idea and use her quirk on the furniture much to Lydia's shock before sending them all down on her aunt. After Lydia blast the furniture away, Ochaco sneak behind her aunt to try to use her quirk on her, but Lydia soon turns and blast her off before laughing maliciously. Meanwhile, the other kids rushed toward the second floor before Zero stops everyone and told them to wait while he goes and find her mom. Suddenly, Gravity noticed the kids without Izu and Ochaco before asking them where Lydia's location is, causing the kids to lead the way while the other heroes deal with the employees.
Meanwhile, Ochaco try using her mix martial arts skills to fight her aunt, which went well at first until she got hit by the staff. Soon, Ochaco began to bleed from her head and nose as a flashback when she went home after the fight with the Devil Brats telling her parents that Izu happens to be her best friend before begging her parents to let her be just like him. Afterwards, she starts monologuing about her sincere feelings toward Deku and how determined she is to be just like him before fainting. Lydia then kneels down to her niece and coldly told her that she'll never be a hero because she's weak. She then starts comparing her to her sister and how stupid it is to try to stop her from achieving her goal of stealing one for all and become a ruler of the underworld along with the Warcraft of doom.
Meanwhile, the kids lead Gravity to the third floor where they can hear Lydia talking to Ochaco about how weak the hero society is and how she yearns to destroy everything just to make heroes bow and tremble before her, which caused Gravity to become furious of her words before looking at Ochaco on the floor and giving her sister a serious death glare. After Gravity demanded Lydia to tell her what she did to her daughter, causing Lydia to tell her that all she did was show her how underestimating her is a big mistake and she'll destroy the society after stealing one for all from Midoriya and how similar Juryoku is to their mother before saying killing their mom satisfied her because she was worthless just like her. Zero then gasped and takes Ochaco and everyone else to hide because he knows that his mom has reach a rage breaking point because of his Aunt Lydia.
