Chapter 40: Juryoku vs Lydia
Gravity takes a deep breath and gives the kids the blueprint of the quirk vacuum cleaner and told them to deactivate it in the room next door. Lydia then gets furious and start fighting her sister. Gravity then tries to get close to Lydia but kept getting blasted by the staff magic as Lydia laugh evilly until Gravity gets an idea and use her quirk to use an attack call comet homerun, which caused Lydia to drop her staff and dived down after it. Gravity then attacked her sister from behind before making her float. However, Lydia outsmarted her and use magic to fly and tries to turn her sister into stone. After mockingly asking who's special now, Lydia knocked Juryoku down before sadistically say goodnight and shot a spell at her. Suddenly, Mr. Uraraka barged him and block the spell, causing himself to be turned to stone, much to his wife's horror as Lydia still laughs evilly.
Meanwhile, the kids were just finishing defeating a group of employees before entering the room where the quirk vacuum cleaner is located. Soon they encountered more employees along with a black dragon who then snorted fire out of his nose while the kids stood in fear. Meanwhile, Gravity desperately checks if her husband is still alive but soon breaks down and cry, causing Lydia to sadistically chew her sister out for her naivety and underestimating her power. Gravity then gets furious and demanded why is she so cruel and heartless. Lydia hesitates to answer as she uses her staff to shoot more beams at her sister until Gravity manages to pin her at the wall. Soon Lydia gives up and told her sister what she told the Peanut Gallery, causing Gravity to let her guard down, which also caused Lydia to strike her and take her staff to prepare to turn her sister into stone. However, the rest of the league including Ryuku came in and ambushed Lydia, causing the staff to fell to the floor so Gravity can break it and turn her husband back to his normal self. Endeavor then let Lydia up and handcuffed her telling her that unlike her, Juryoku cares and protect the ones she loves because she's nice, and the reason why her mom treats her unfairly is probably because she's mean to people, causing Lydia's life to flash before her eyes until she starts crying.
Meanwhile, most of the Peanut Gallery deals with the employees while Shoto and Katsuki tries to deactivate the vacuum cleaner. Soon Ryuku came to help until the dragon became smitten of her beauty, which caught Ryuku off guard until the black Dragon takes her to his lair. Soon, Shoto and Katsuki decided to just destroy the machi ne, which caused the whole room to get caught on fire, which also caused Natsuo, Fyumi, Mrs. Todorki and Backdraft to put it out. After Endeavor checked if the kids are ok. He set off to save Ryuku from the black dragon who was in the middle of flirting with her until Endeavor drops in and made the dragon furious of his presence. Soon the U.A. League successfully escapes the dragon and left him heartbroken. Mr. Hatsume then do roll call to see if everyone safe and sound, but soon realized that Izuku is missing, causing Ochaco to say that he was chased by employees after dinking one of their potions. The U.A. League briefly panicked until Endeavor noticed giant footprints that that leads to a city in ruins before saying oh crap.
