Chapter 51: Golden retriever in a box
After most of the goons are detained, everyone congratulates and thanked the Peanut Gallery, especially Izuku for their bravery on their first mission, causing the kids to smile and blush as people and the press took pictures of them. Soon, the Yagi family came and congratulates the kids after Inko told them about the news before the president of the hero public safety commission came to take the kids to her workplace so they can get their hero license for their hard work. Soon a ceremony begins and ended with the kids getting the key to Japan. That evening, while the kids are outside either doing autograph are playing with their fans. The U.A. League discussed their success until All Might told his comrades that things will get harder and more serious from now on, which made every but Inko, who just look at All Might to agree.
The next day, after the Peanut Gallery returns from school, Koji decided to take her lizards and bunny for a walk. During her walk, she heard whimpering, which caused her to investigate until she found a cardboard box with a golden retriever puppy in it. The puppy then looks up with big eyes, causing Koji to go aww and pick up the puppy. She then examines the puppy before asking if he's lonely and needed a friend. The puppy then smiles and made an arf sound, causing Koji to put her hand on her heart and goes aww again. Suddenly Toru calls her from behind and told her that her parents want her to come home for dinner before noticing the puppy and go aww. Soon, the girls start discussing from what will their parents say if they bring home a puppy to how will Izuku and his mom going to react since they both find animals as filthy and disgusting creatures, which caused Koji to become determine and said that they will tell Izu that they are going to keep a puppy whether he likes it or not. After Toru reminded Koji that Izu only tolerates her animals because he's one of her few closest friends in the building along with Toru and Kyoka. Soon the girls set off for home with the puppy in Koji's arms after they decided on calling him Ultra.
Toru ran ahead to tell Koji to get on her bike, but Koji refused fearing for Ultra's safety before telling Toru that they're walking home, Toru reluctantly agrees to as she grab on a handle and walk alongside Koji. Soon, the girls passed some people they know until they reached the pet store to get Ultra a collar. Ultra then choose a green collar as the girls paid for everything before moving on. Soon, they meet one of their friends in the community Trevor who then warned the girls about Izu's dislike of dogs, and he might do experiments on him, causing Ultra to start whimpering before hiding behind Toru and Koji, causing the girls to assure Trevor that they make sure Izu doesn't do experiments on Ultra before moving on. Soon, the girls reached their building before taking a deep breath and agrees on keeping the puppy, no matter what Izu and his mom say.
