Chapter 58: Mina's school of dance
The Peanut Gallery lead Gentle, Labrava, and the twins to the gym while some other students try to get away from them as if they're bullies until they went inside the gym. Mina then greets everyone when she comes out her dancing outfit along with wearing a hat backwards and acid proof sneakers before telling everyone that they're going to learn how to dance, causing everyone to get ready getting into position leaving spaces so they won't hit each other. Izu then told Mina that they have four new friends joining them, causing Mina to smile at the new kids, especially Gentle and Labrava, who smiled back. Mina then asks everyone if they need to go to the bathroom before they begin, causing Ochaco and Nejire to run off, much to some of the kids' annoyance.
When Ochaco and Nejire returns from the bathroom, Mina plays some music and told everybody to just follow her lead. A montage then begins as everyone copies Mina's dancing as they dance from Ice cream and cake to Boombastic. Gentle then starts to enjoy himself as Mina made everyone gets a partner, and he chose Katsuki to dance with him, causing everyone, especially Labrava to smile. Soon another montage begins as everyone starts dancing to shaky, shaky. The montage ends with everyone cheering before Taking a break with some of the kids going out to get water. Mina then talk to Izuku about his slow timing before telling him that they will practice at her apartment after school, which caused Izu to say ok before messing up Mina's hair calling her dancing queen. Mina then laugh as she pushed Izuku down before walking off to do some stretches.
Soon, Mina gets a flashback before getting enrolled into kindergarten. She was outcasted because of her skin color and people calls her a freak because of her quirk, which made Mina start crying until her parents cheers her up by going to see a dance off near their house. Mina then look in amazement until it's over. Mina then convinced her brother to do a dance with her in the neighborhood. After they amazed a crowd of people with their dancing, Mina became more cheerful and optimistic as some of the became friends with her because of cheerfulness and energy as well as her strength after weeks of dancing. Mina then see All Might for the first time and gets inspired to help people. However, her friends' parents find her freaky and forbids them to be near her before calling her Freaky Pinky. After a week of crying, Mina's family encourages her to do what she loves most no matter what people said, which caused Mina to smile and decides to just have fun in life with her family despite people giving her odd looks and calling her a freak. The flashback ends with Mina and her family watching All Might confirming her dating status with Inko before Mrs. Ashido told her daughter that she's very lucky to go to the same school as someone who's mom is dating the number 1 hero. Mina then blush and smiles as she agrees with her mom.
