Chapter 62: The internship begins
The next morning, the U.A. League found the kids counting money so they can be able to rebuild the kindergarten center's playground the hard way. Izu then ask his friends if they're sure that they can't just use the rewinder gun, causing Momo to say no before telling him that they can't use the money machine this time, so they must use the money they been saving for a vacation together. Soon, the kids found out that they are $50,000 dollars short to be able to rebuild the recess area of the kindergarten center, causing some of them to start thinking until Tenya gets an idea of doing a fundraiser, causing everyone to agree on the idea with Izu reluctantly agreeing to help. Mrs. Kendo then told the kids that she's got a better idea and told them about how they've been getting lots of money just for saving lives and fighting villains, causing the kids to become shocked as All Might agrees with Mrs. Kendo before suggesting that they should learn and train under a pro hero, that way they will learn to fight villains without being reckless and use their brains instead of their muscles. The kids then get excited and ask All Might when will they start, causing All Might and Inko to smile at each other before Inko told the kids that they'll talk over with the commissioner before leaving. Three days later, the Peanut Gallery gathered in the game room to look at a list of who got who for an internship. They then found out that twenty-three parents have an even number of them along with other kids from U.A. Academy. Soon, everyone but Izuku set off to meet their respective mentors. All Might then comforts Izu telling him that he would include him to his and his mom's group but there were lots of new kids who has potential in becoming a hero and they want to inspire them so they can be better heroes. Inko then said that Gran Torino would love to train him, but he's too busy with investigations about the Devil Brats and All for one's next move. Izu then sigh and told his parents that he understands, and he'll be fine by himself before telling them not to worry, causing his parents to look at each other with guilt before leaving to meet their new prodigies. Soon, after Izu sat down to listen to the Backstreet Boys, Nejire sat down next to him and told him not to worry about being alone because he's going to join her, Ochaco, and Tsu at Ryuku Agency.
Izu then open his eyes wide and asks Nejire if Ryuku say that it's ok. Suddenly, Celia came in just as Nejire was about to answer the question and ask what's going on. Nejire then told Celia that she can't stand leaving someone like Izu all alone, causing Celia to assure her that Izu is in good hands since his half siblings are at school, which Izu himself said that it's not fair that they have school, but he and his friends don't. Nejire then get determined and told Celia that there's a first time for everyone in everything before turning to Izu with determination in her eyes and told him that he's officially coming with her to Ryuku Agency, causing Celia to pout and said that she bought Uno and Chess for Izu to play with. After Nejire gives a cold death glare to Celia, which caused her to allow Izu to go with her, Nejire led Izu outside where Tsu, Ochaco, and Ryuku were waiting for her.
Ryuku then smiled and greeted Izu before asking him if he's joining them so he won't be lonely, causing Izu to tell her that Nejire recommended him to work under her so he won't be lonely, causing Ryuku to smile and say that Nejire recommend the perfect mentor, which also caused Ochaco to hug Izu tightly and didn't let go until Nejire and Tsu pry her off him. Ryuku then chuckle before asking Izu to tell her his hero name, which he call himself Deku. Soon, Ryuku led everyone to her limo, with one of her sidekicks as the chauffer as they set off to Ryuku Agency. Along the way there, Izu look out the window and saw lots of kids working with pro heroes as their mentors for their internships, including Gentle, Labrava, Bella and Stella. Soon, they reached the agency as Deku gasp in amazement.
