Chapter 67: Sleeping disease
Merlin turns to the kids and Ultra to tell them that he's going to show them a spell that will knock them dead, causing the kids including Izu and Momo to cheer. Merlin then took out a spell book and scan through it until he grins evilly at a spell before giving Izuku a special face mask, so he can say a spell that caused a cloud to appear and made everyone but Izu sleepy until they fell into a deep sleep. Izuku then look amazed before asking Merlin if he can wake them up, causing Merlin to laugh evilly and said that Izu's friends are being plagued by the sleeping disease, so it'll be easier to steal one for all. Izu then gets defensive before asking what's the sleeping disease and how to get a cure, causing Merlin to sadistically tell Izu that the sleeping disease will make people fall into deep sleep for eternity and there is no cure. Izu then gets angry and yell at Merlin that there should be a cure before desperately trying to wake his friends and Ultra up, but with no use as he calls their names with tears in his eyes.
Merlin watches in satisfaction as Izu continues to try to wake his friends up until he breaks down and starts crying. He then recalls flashbacks of the first time he met his friends and all the adventures they did together before and after moving into U.A. Apartments together, until Merlin told him that he does know a spell to wake everyone up, and all Izu need to do is to submit to All for one. Izuku then gets mad and chew Merlin out for pretending to be nice to him and his friends before telling him that he has no idea what it's like to have siblings, until he met his friends in the kindergarten center before recalling a flashback about Kyoka's song My siblings. He then told Merlin if anyone hurts his siblings, they are going to answer to him. Merlin then gives Izu a deadpan look before blowing dust of the sleeping disease onto Izu and look into his spell book to say a spell. However, he is then stopped abruptly by the U.A. League including All Might who then glared at Merlin.
Soon, after Endeavor told Merlin that he's going to pay for this, Merlin laughs evilly before blasting dark magic at the U.A. League, but they quickly dodged it and scatter so they can fight Merlin together. All Might then engaged first, causing Merlin to teleport everyone to a dimensional rift as All Might continue to fight Merlin until he gets overpowered by strong magic. Inko then watched her husband gets blasted off before engaging against Merlin herself after saying that Merlin messed with a heroine named Special. She then uses her quirk to try to fight Merlin, but he manages to overpower her as well, causing Mrs. Uraraka to compare Merlin to Lydia before telling everyone to attack all at once. Soon, the U.A. League attacked Merlin together, causing Merlin to try to put everyone to sleep with spells, but Endeavor burned them all before using flashfire fist against Merlin, causing him to change different dimensional rifts after every minute as the U.A. League continues fighting together, until Merlin has enough and vanished in a sparkling mist after teleporting everyone back to their lobby. The U.A. League then start panicking about their kids until All Might calmed everybody down to tell them that they are going to find a way to cure the kids from the sleeping disease. Everyone then put their hands together as All Might say that they go beyond before everyone say plus ultra. The U.A. League then call their colleagues to tell them that they have an emergency, while Mr. Yaoyorozu sat next to his daughter promising her that he'll get her a cure before Merlin takes one for all to All for one.
