Chapter 71: Valley of trees
The heroes entered the forest and split up to find the green orb so they can get to Merlin's tower. Soon, Mr. Yaoyorozu found the green orb way out in the open and look around to see if anyone there. However, he got ambushed by Indians who then grabbed him and run, causing the group to go after them and save Mr. Yaoyorozu. Soon, the group reach a campsite and stop the Indians from cooking Mr. Yaoyorozu before explaining why they are here. The chief then told the group to find them something to eat, causing the group to tell the duo the situation before taking off to find some food with them. After a montage of looking for food for the Indians, the group got Mr. Yaoyorozu back along with the green orb before setting off to Merlin's tower. Majestic then ask the duo if they always do stuff for people just to get something, causing the duo to say yes and explain their adventure in collecting magic feathers and unlocking paintings to five places in the fairytale world. Soon, the heroes reached Merlin's tower, causing the duo to lead the group to the place where Merlin keeps the cure for the sleeping disease. Which is a storage closet. However, the closet is empty, shocking the heroes as All Might contact Best Jeanist and told him that Merlin must've took the cure with him. Best Jeanist then told All Might to come back to the apartment building so they can do a stakeout, causing All Might to sigh in relief before thanking him. The group then thank Eddie and Cam before Majestic teleport everyone out of the book and back into the building where everyone is worrying about the kids.
All Might then calmed everybody down before asking Mr. Tamakiri about Merlin's current location, which is at the Warcraft agency. Inko then told everyone that they are going to have a stakeout at the hidden caves, but they only going to need one person to keep a lookout for Merlin. Mrs. Yaoyorozu then told Inko that her Husband is great with stakeouts before turning to Mr. Yaoyorozu, who has developed low self esteem since he was kidnapped by Indians as he laments on getting himself into the situation. Inko then told Mr. Yaoyorozu to keep an eye out for Merlin at his secret cave, so they can capture him and get the cure for the kids. Mr. Yaoyorozu then look at Inko nervously and say ok as he starts sweating.
That night, Mr. Yaoyorozu stood a safe distance so he can look for Merlin, while doing so, he thinks about how his mistake of not knowing he was lured into a trap is affecting his self-esteem. Mr. Yaoyorozu then snapped himself out of it so he can focus on the mission. Soon, All Might call him to check how is stakeout doing, which Mr. Yaoyorozu say is fine. He then thinks about how he was too afraid to fight back after the Indians captured him, and after his friends went to get food for the Indians, one of them call him weak and scrawny like a chicken. He then starts crying as Merlin and All for one watch with interest. Merlin then decided to get help so he can get one for all more easily before calling a mysterious person made from sand, whom his son admired very much. Merlin then told the mysterious person to keep the heroes distracted while he makes a deal with Mr. Yaoyorozu. Soon, he hung up before he and All for one laugh evilly.
