Chapter 72: Imengine vs Merlin
Meanwhile, the U.A. League look after the kids who are at the hospital until they give them the cure from Merlin. Inko and Borunko Sr. then look out the window to look for any villains, but soon noticed the mysterious man that's made from sand and warn everybody as they prepare themselves. The mysterious man then enters the hospital and introduced himself to the nurse as Sandman, causing everyone to get suspicious. Sandman then turn to the heroes and ask them if they are the U.A. League. After All Might confirmed this, Sandman smirked and told everyone that Merlin got their Imengine, causing everyone to get furious, especially Mrs. Yaoyorozu. Meanwhile, Mr. Yaoyorozu (Imengine himself) was keeping a lookout for Merlin until he snuck up from behind, scaring him. Merlin then smiles sinisterly before telling Mr. Yaoyorozu that they need to talk.
Back at the hospital Sandman told everyone that Merlin is on a mission to steal one for all for All for one before telling them to either submit to the demon lord himself and give him one for all or die. Mrs. Todoroki then attacked Sandman and easily defeated him in a second before interrogating about Merlin's intention. Sandman then panicked before telling everyone that Merlin is going to use Mr. Yaoyorozu to get one for all from All Might whether he likes it or not. And if Mr. Yaoyorozu doesn't cooperate, Merlin is going to put everyone in Japan into eternal slumber. The U.A. League then panic until Mrs. Yaoyorozu decided to warn her husband. However, it went straight to voicemail because Merlin coldly told Mr. Yaoyorozu to shut it off.
Mr. Yaoyorozu then muster up the courage to tell Merlin that if he doesn't give him the cure for his two daughters and their friends, he's going to arrest him right here, right now, which caused Merlin to give Mr. Yaoyorozu a cold death stare before attacking him. Mr. Yaoyorozu then dodges a few of Merlin's attacks before thinking what to do until Merlin tries to blast him with a spell as he laughs and taunt him. Mr. Yaoyorozu then creates a cannon to shoot at Merlin but misses a few times before Merlin struck him with magic. Mr. Yaoyorozu then recall a memory of her wife giving birth to Momo as he cries tears of joy. Mr. Yaoyorozu and his wife then take Momo home and began their life together raising Momo and Ashley as they live in a mansion working as a factory owner and magician respectively. Momo then turn four and yearn for friends, but kept getting bullied because people made fun of her quirk and compare it to pooping, which upset Momo. However, Mr. Yaoyorozu manage to comfort her and make her feel better. The flashback then ends with Momo admitting to her parents that Izu is an inspiration that she's going to follow the footsteps of as Mr. Yaoyorozu gets knocked down by Merlin as he taunts him again by calling him weak and scrawny like a chicken, causing Mr. Yaoyorozu to slowly show his face bleeding before glaring at Merlin as he get up and told him that he's no chicken as he creates a sword and shield to fight back for real this time. Soon, Mr. Yaoyorozu managed to overpower the evil sorcerer until Merlin reveals that he kept a secret spell, which is paralyzing spell. Merlin then smirks and walk up to Mr. Yaoyorozu to tell him that he has a deal for him, causing Mr. Yaoyorozu to break out of the spell and hit Merlin with a big mallet. Mr. Yaoyorozu then breathe hard as he looks at Merlin assuming that he finally defeated Merlin. However, just as he walks up to look at him, Merlin suddenly shot up and grab Mr. Yaoyorozu in a chokehold as he laughs evilly while Mr. Yaoyorozu become traumatized.
