Chapter 74: Cover blown
The mysterious villain looks at the U.A. League and hesitate to engage in battle, causing Endeavor to ask who he is and if he's part of the Warcraft of Doom. The villain then silently looks at the league before slowly turning around to run off to the hospital, which made the U.A. League surprised as they give chase. The villain quickly jumps from roof to roof until a flock of birds came out of nowhere and attacked the villain. It is then revealed that Mrs. Koda who then demanded the villain to tell her and the league who sent him, and what is his mission. However, the villain jumps down and ran through the alley until he was attacked by Edgeshot and Kyoka's parents. They then told the villain that they are giving him a chance to explain himself or else they have no choice but to arrest him, causing the villain to panic and keep on running as the league chased him into a corner, where the villain mysteriously vanished. The league then cautiously looks around for the villain. Soon, the villain tries to sneak away but accidentally knocked over a trash can, which caused everybody to see him as he runs off again. Inko then told Endeavor to cut him off, which he does before telling the villain that running away won't solve any problem. The villain then took out a smoke bomb and vanished in a puff of smoke after letting it go off. The villain then takes a break before looking back assuming that he lost them. He then sees the hospital in a distance before running towards it. As he ran, he thinks about his friends and family when they are happy together fighting side by side. He then wishes to see her daughters wake up and admit that they are proud to call him dad. Soon, a montage of flashbacks begins showing Izu's antics and his friends being by his side, becoming brothers and sisters. Suddenly, the flashback was abruptly interrupted when the villain was trapped in a block of ice made from Mrs. Todoroki. She then said like Endeavor said about running away won't solve anything, before demanding the villain for his identity, his mission and the one who sent him. The villain then sees the U.A. League who rallied up every pro hero in the area to await him running off again. The villain then takes a deep breath and told everyone that his name is Red X, causing the league to become ready for a fight, including Mrs. Yaoyorozu, who assumes that Red X kills her husband. Red X then told everyone that he was sent by Merlin to steal one for all from All Might or else he will send everyone into eternal slumber, causing some of the heroes to look in confusion while others just glare.
Mrs. Todoroki laments that she and her comrades were too late to stop Merlin from corrupting Mr. Yaoyorozu before demanding Red X what did he do to Mr. Yaoyorozu, after explaining that he was the only one at the hidden cave when they found a note from Mr. Yaoyorozu. Red X then silently stares at Mrs. Todoroki before breaking out of the ice and flew off to the hospital, causing Mrs. Todoroki to snap her fingers so her comrades can prevent him from reaching All Might. However, Mrs. Yaoyorozu recognized his voice and tries to convince everyone that Red X is her husband Sozu, however, everyone is too busy as they chased Red X through the streets until Kamui woods trapped him. Red X then begged the league to let him go because they're not understanding that Merlin is going to put everyone into eternal slumber. Inko then gets suspicious and asked Red X what he means. When the villain just silently looks at her, Inko quickly took off the mask, shocking everyone to see Mr. Yaoyorozu crying his eyes out.
A flashback begins after the phone went straight to voicemail as Mrs. Yaoyorozu became worry sick. The U.A. League then speculate what could've happened to Mr. Yaoyorozu, until Mrs. Uraraka told a security guard to take Sandman to the police that are now waiting outside. Soon, All Might then think for a moment until he suspects that Merlin must have corrupted Mr. Yaoyorozu, causing Mrs. Yaoyorozu to start crying until Inko assured her that they are going to save her husband from Merlin's corruption. The league then discussed who's going to stay with the kids until they came back with both Mr. Yaoyorozu and the cure for the kids, causing All Might to volunteer to stay just in case Mr. Yaoyorozu will be after one for all. Everyone but All Might then put on their hero costume before taking off as Mrs. Hado told All Might to take good care of the kids. In the present, the U.A. League told their comrades to let them handle this as Inko confirmed that they are too late to stop Merlin from corrupting Mr. Yaoyorozu, but then said that it's not too late for him to change his mind from being Merlin's apprentice, before telling Mr. Yaoyorozu to stop running away so they can fight Merlin together and cure the kids from the sleeping disease. However, Mr. Yaoyorozu told everyone that Merlin will put them to sleep for eternity, so he must do this to save everyone. He then gets defensive with his sword and shield before telling everyone to get out of his way, causing Inko and Endeavor to say that they knew Mr. Yaoyorozu will be corrupted before telling everyone to get ready to face off against Mr. Yaoyorozu to get him back to his senses.
