Chapter 88: Lockdown at school
Back at the building, everyone helps Mei and her family find the chest full of gold nuts and bolts until everybody told them that the chest is nowhere in the building, causing Mr. Hastsume to get mad and ask Mei how could she lose the family legacy. Suddenly, Izuku came up on the elevator and told everyone that a group of villains stole the chest, causing the Hatsume family to be relief while everyone gets confused. Izuku then lead everyone to the lab to tell Siri to show everyone the security footage of the crime, causing most everyone to be shocked before asking Izu how many cameras he put in the building and where are they located. Izu then show everyone the locations of the security cameras, including ones in the bathrooms, which made the girls slightly disturbed. After Izu mischievously admitted that he has cameras in girls' bathrooms as well, he shows everyone the footage, which they saw the villains sneaking into Bein's room and stole the chest that was in front of an open door of the parents' room that Izu, Mei, and Bein were having a conversation in. Mei then felt guilty before promising her parents that she and Bein will get the chest back from the villains, causing Mr. and Mrs. Hatsume to smile at her before telling Izu not to use the cameras to spy on people. Izu then understood with fingers crossed behind his back before telling Siri to scan the villains in the footage, which Siri did before telling everyone that the villains were escapees from a normal prison that were free by the Devil Brats. Everyone then gasps before the U.A. League contact their comrades to tell them that the escapees were sent by the Devil Brats.
After a quick montage of investigating and Izu's researching and analyzing, the U.A. League get reports that the escapees are now call The Ant hero Squad because of their common hatred of the hero society, All Might to ask where their current location are. Edgeshot and Kamui Woods then told the league that the squad's HQ is the same store that Russell kept stolen money in. They then told the league that the squad are in an airship right now heading to U.A. Academy. Suddenly, Izu came with Mei and Bein telling the adults that he just got an email from Principal Nezu about a candy themed festival on the U.A. campus, causing them to get suspicious until All Might ask if Mei and Bein are coming to get the chest back, which Mei and Bein say that it's the least they can do. Inko then told the kids to stay close as everyone set off to U.A. Academy.
When they reached the school, they meet the teachers and other pro heroes who also received an email about a candy themed festival. However, Principal Nezu told everyone that he didn't give them an email about the festival, which made everyone suspicious until the alarm went off, causing the academy to be on lockdown as every door, window and gate become locked. Soon, some of the league, including All Might starts panicking as they desperately try to find a way out until The Anti hero Squad appears on a screen laughing. Everyone then gets defensive as the squad told them that Hector has hacked into the system, so they aren't leaving until they get one for all, causing the heroes to refuse and demand then to turn themselves in or else they'll come for them. Tabitha then laughs and told the heroes that they won't have their chest back, causing Mei and Bein to be surprised. Soon, Nelson smiled deviously as he told his comrades to release the bugs and snakes, causing Izu to become petrified.
