Prologue: Die to live

Death, most people believed to be the end of one's journey. Most people believed that when you died, depends on all the actions you did in life, you can either ends up in Heaven or Hell. There's other believes that stated; when you died, there's a chance that you'll be reincarnated. Jebediah Parker was the believer of the former.

He saw death was the ends of someone's story, their time for finally rest, whether there's an afterlife or not... And then everything changes.

Today is Parker's 4th birthday and it was not like any other birthday he celebrated before, not because his parents finally budge (after he pester them to no end) to buy him a limited edition slingshot toy that he always wanted. It was because the gift that he'll get from gods; Quirk.

To put it simply, Quirk is superpower that most people get after they reached 4th year of their life... Most people because there's group of people's that unlucky enough to get theirs much more latter or even never at all. The latter group of people are called; Quirkless. And of course, a world where people have Powers straight out of Comic books; it bound to cause Problems

Crime rates skyrocketing and peace are no longer can be maintain causing some people to take Justice to their own hands, thus Heroes became a profession. In the earlier years that Quirk manifested on earth, Heroes are like in the comic books; a Vigilante. And now hundreds year later, Heroism became a legit job like Police officer or firefighter. Thus now world became more peaceful than it was hundreds years ago, especially after the rising of Number one hero of Japan, The symbol of Peace; All Might.

Parker were excited, he finally will get his own Quirk and whatever he'll get, he was sure that he'll get an ocular quirk. The reason is because most of his Family members have them; his uncle and aunt, his grandparents from his mother side, and his parents. Hell, he was sure that his mom bragged about being in a long line of ocular quirk possessor.

Speaking of parents, Parker mother; Naomi Parker, Possessed a Quirk called 'Microscope', a quirk that allows her to enhance her vision and allows her to see something on a cellular level. While her husband; George Parker, has 'Tag'; that allows him to tag something or someone and lock his sight on them.

He's now sitting in a small dining room belonged to the Parker's household. The room has a distinct western style; a meter long dining table surrounded by 2 mahogany chairs in each sides sat in the middle of the room, a wooden cupboard filled with plates and other dining tools not far next to it, a potted plant next to the cupboard right in the corner of the room, and lastly a decent sized refrigerator on the other side of the room.

Orange hue filled the room as the sunset light the room from a small window next to the refrigerator, Parker sit idly while watching online videos on his Father's laptop. It was a video about human's evolution, it explains about how human race evolves from time to time and Parker was completely hooked on it. Parker was so in trance that he didn't noticed his parents came out from the kitchen and tip toing behind him, a sudden light that filled the room finally broke his trance.

"Now sweetie, what did mom said about watching video in the dark?" a gentle voice spoke from behind him, he turns around and surprised that both of his parents already home, he was expecting that his parents won't be home until 8.

"To not to do that, since my eyes are more sensitive" Parker answered

His mother nodded, "and why did still do it anyway?" she asked again as she take off the small rectangular glasses she wearing. She then took the seat across Parker and her husband did the same.

Parker just pouted and looks down, he then turns to face the laptop and paused the video he was watching, He then close it and shift his gaze to his parents. He then crossed his hand on his chest "cuz it was stupid" he mumbled.

"I'll pretend to not hear that, because we have more important thing to address" George spoke, he then pulls up a small box and placed it on the table, "did you know what day it is?" he asked with a small smile

Parker expression then lit up, full blown smile now graced his lip "Birthday!" he exclaimed happily. His parents chuckled and open the box, a blue colored cake with 'Happy Birthday Jeb!' written on top.

His parents stand up and walk over towards him, they stands beside him "Happy birthday, Jeb" his Father congratulated while patting his head. His mother placed her hands on Parker's shoulder and lean to kiss his forehead and spoke, "Happy birthday, sweet heart"

Parker turns around and hugged his parent, "Thanks Mom, Dad" he then let them go and look at his father expectantly "where's the candle? It can't be a birthday party without it, right?" he asked

George looks away with sheepish smile while Naomi glared at him with flat expression, he felt the cold anger from his wife then cough to his hand and spoke, "I-I uh... for- I-I mean they runs out of candle at the store and the street I passed by don't have any store on it" he excused

His mother just smiled "Oh really? I thought you bought the cake near the shopping district" Naomi said as she closes her distance, she now standing next to her husband and right behind her son. She then puts a finger on her lips, with puzzled expression "If I remembered correctly, there's a grocery store that sells things like that" she then threw George a sideway glance, that he was sure filled with silent fury "you're not simply forgot didn't you?" she asked sweetly

George gulped and rubbed the back of his head while averting his gaze "N-no, of course not. I-I wouldn't forgot about my son birthday, that would be ridiculous" he said, his eyes then widen slowly as he realized what said. He glances at his wife and the smile she displayed filled him with primal fear.

She nodded "of course, you wouldn't ever forget about it..." she then feel a tug on the sleeve of her white lab coat, she looks down and saw Parker looking at her expectantly

Parker who saw his Parent's silent argument, just shook his head "no need to get angry, mom" he reassured with a smile "Dad probably really tired that's why he forgot about it"

Naomi relaxed her tense shoulder and smiled gently, she then caress the youngest Parker brown hair "yes of course, honey. Sorry about that, Mom's job is getting stressful lately" she assured.

The boy nodded "Mhm... Beside, we can use the stove as candle" he said as he pointed towards the kitchen. He then turn to George "just like dad said yesterday, right Dad?" he asked with a smile

The eldest Parker eyebrow twitched, he glance to his wife who returned her threatening smile. He lets out a nervous chuckle and smiled nervously "O-of course"

The family moved to the kitchen where Parker blows out the gas stove fire, celebrating his long awaited 4th birthday.

The family has just finished their dinner, the next thing they usually do after dinner was spending time in the living room. the living room was modestly sized and there's few furniture in it; 42 inch LCD TV that bolted on the wall that currently displaying news about Hero related news, a set deep blue sofas that Mr. and Mrs. Parker currently sitting on, there's a small oak wood coffee table with stack of papers on it in front of the sofas and 2 neatly arranged bookshelves at the each side of the TV.

Mrs. Parker currently reading report that her subordinate has written for her, it was about the oncoming surgery she needs to perform. While Mr. Parker sat beside her, he's currently watching the TV. The youngest Parker on the other hand was currently drawing on the opposite end of the coffee table, facing his parents. Parker couldn't wait for tomorrow, since there's high possibility that his Quirk would manifest tomorrow.

"Mom" the young Parker said, his Mother hummed in response "when are you free?" he asked

Naomi tore her eyes out of her papers and gained a thoughtful looks, she then said "I don't know, sweetie. Probably not until the next 2 months" she then turns her gaze to her son, eyebrow rose "why do you ask?" she asked

Parker lift his head to face his mother "Just curious, we haven't traveling in a long time..." he answered as he recall the time he and his parents going out, from the Universal Studio to visiting the All Might statue in the middle of Tokyo. "I really want to go somewhere, you know"

His father then turns his gaze from the TV and to his son "and where would you want to go?" he asked curiously.

Parker turns to his father, he's beaming "Disneyland!" he exclaimed with a jump, hands in the air

His parent's expression turns into confusion. They share a look for a bit then turns to him again "and where is that?" his mother inquired

Parker tilted his head "Tokyo of course" he answered, he then scrunched his eyebrows "you guys didn't know?"

George turns to his wife and she shrug while shook her head, The Head of the household scratches his chin "I'm afraid we don't, what's this Disneyland anyways? Is it an amusement park like Universal Studio or an educational one like Sea World?"

Parker was aghast "are you two serious!?" he demanded "you're joking right? There's no way you didn't know about it!"

George winced and pouted "Well I'm sorry if I'm not updated in thing like this" he excused, and then he turns to Naomi who was opening up her phone "Do you have any ideas about this Disneyland, dear?"

She scrunched her eyebrows as she swiping down her Phone "I'm not sure... the name seems familiar, but I can't recall it where or when I heard about it" she admitted, she then turns to her only son "where did you knew about this anyway? Did one of your friends go there?"

Parker nodded "yeah, Abigail and her mother went there a week ago"

"Abigail?" George repeated, curiosity clear on his face especially due the Name

"A new student maybe" Naomi answered. To which Parker nodded

"Yeah, she's a new student. She transferred three weeks ago"

George was about to speak but was interrupted by the sound of his digital watch that showed 9:00 PM, he then stands up and turns off the TV "alright, we can discuss this tomorrow. Now it's time for you to sleep, young man"

Parker Yawned "already? Ok then" he answered, he then walk over to his Parents and hugged them while bidding them goodnight. When Parker was already went upstairs, his father sigh

"What a pushy Kid, you sure I was like that back then" he asked his life partner. Naomi just smiled as pocketed her phone and then she tied her long dark pink hair into a bun

"Oh, you wouldn't believe how much Jeb take on you." she admitted while she smile softly, her smile then turns into confusion "it's weird though"

"What?" George asked, confused

"This Disneyland Jeb spoke about—I just searched about it on the internet, They said that it was an Amusement Park that indeed located in Tokyo, but the thing is; it was closed years ago back when I was about 7 years old" she answered, her eyebrows furrowed "and this Abigail, i often chat with Parker's Teacher and she usually spoke if anything happened in school and she never said of any transfer by that name"

George then frowned "you think he lied?"

Naomi shook her head "I don't think so, he's probably misremembered his dream for something real or it was just an Imaginary friend" she justified, since it's common for kid Jeb's age to develop one

"Or it was a ghost that died in the Disneyland's attraction and wandered to where she was schooled" her husband teased

"Don't be ridiculous, there's no such thing as ghost!" she scoffed as readjust her glasses, George just smiled in response

"Maybe" he agreed, he then walks towards the stairs, he then stopped midway and turns to his wife "oh yeah before I forgot, I heard someone knocking on the windows last few night. And when I asked the couple next door if they saw anything, they said it was a woman in white... "He then turns around again and continue to ascend the stairs "...they also said that the woman has no face when she turns around"

Naomi then scoffed at her husband's attempt to scare her, "did he think I would fell for it" she muttered while stacking the report she read earlier "it's probably just the next door guys high on something and decided to messing around, I swear if he-" She then heard knocking on the glass windows

She stopped what she doing and slowly turns towards the closed windows under light blue curtains. Her heartbeat beats faster and faster each passing seconds and her gaze locked on the windows direction. Another knock sounded, she bolted upstairs in response.

It's all blur, that all he could see. But amidst the blurriness he could make out the image of bookshelf and also the large book – Grimoire if he recalled correctly, in his hand. And for some reason the pages of the book was much clearer than the whole vision, the page was filled with mantras and various shapes that he was sure called runes

"You think this would work?" a familiar boyish voice asked, then there's a sound of papers being ruffled "I don't really believe all this bullshit, ya know?—it's all scream magic ritual and shit"

"We wouldn't know if we didn't try" a soft feminine voice answered, he could feel the smile of the voice owner "What? You chicken?" the voice teased

The boyish voice scoffed, "as if" after the voice says that he closed the book and he could see the leather cover of the book, it has dark green hue and has few small cracks near the book spine—sign of old age and constant usage. His eyes wander to the upper edge of the book and there's no title written on it, then he flipped the book to see the spine and like he guessed, it was where the title was.

"Kalamanga, the Young one" was written on it, aligned vertically and in all capitals.

"This book has the same vibe as all the shits Gwyneth Paltrow sold, you know?" the boyish voice spoke again "it screams scams on young and impressionable teen, where the hell you get this anyway?"

"EBay of course" the other voice answered and suddenly a hand entered his field of vision and took the book from his hand, he was sure that the hand was belong to a female. The hand has a familiar small ruby ring on the fore finger—it was the same ring that he bought for her when he was at middle school

'Her?' how he was sure the ring owner was a girl? And what middle school, he was only a kindergarten student—hell, he was only applied on it recently. Before he could continue pondering the boyish voice spoke again

"Bruh, you just got scammed big time" he sighs "don't tell me that you actually believe in the crap inside the book, Abby?" he then turns his head towards the girl beside her... and for some reason he couldn't see her face, the blur wasn't that bad now—he could see the black tank top she wore, her favorite purple sweater tied on her hips and her short denim. But somehow when he focused on her face he wasn't able to, it's all blur like a badly aged photograph

She crossed her hands under her breast "and if I am? What would you do, J?" he could feel her frown on her face by those words alone "it's not like it would harm anybody, the ritual also didn't states that it will need any human sacrifice—so you can stop worrying about those"

He then put a hand on his nose bridge and sighs, now he remembered that the boyish voice was belong to him... Remembered? Why did he forget about how his voice even sounds like? It was like this ever since the early days of Middle school.

"it's not that I'm worried about" he said, then he points the book she hold in her left hand "what I'm worried about is that you spend $1000 on that scam—hell, I wouldn't worried as much if you spend it on shits that Gwyneth sold or even those gorilla lamp you kept telling me about"

Abby threw her hands on the air in exasperation "oh come on, it's not like I used your money on it!" she then walk closer and put a hand on his shoulder "just humor me a bit, kay? If you do it, I won't tell Ms. Jessica that you cheated on her English test last week~" she said in a sing song

He was flabbergasted, he was sure that nobody saw him cheating on that day! He even looks around him to make sure! "W-what are you talking about!? I didn't cheat, it was just a fluke I scored A- on them "he tried to lie

He felt that she raised an eyebrow, unconvinced "Oh really? With you keep getting B- or Cs at best. It was suspicious, you know~" she teased, he felt a smirk on her face when she said that "come on, just humor me or I rat"

He took a step back in surprise, his shoulder then sag down. Between humoring her and his score getting changed to F, the choice was clear.

"Ok, I'll do it..." he sighs

His best friend smiled "Good, don't worry. It'll probably take an hour or two then we're done" she then handed him the Grimoire back "read it after me. Okay, Partner?" she said excitedly

He just grunted in response, he then turn around and walks to a circle with pentagram in the middle. He didn't know that this circle was here earlier. He glances around the circle and noticed 5 peculiar things on each points of the reversed star.

A stack of Manga on the bottom side, a red flash drive on the left, a stack of DVD's on the right, a single upside-down disk on upper left and a PS4 on upper right. The stack of Manga and DVD's was familiar to him, but before he could read the title—his eyes was forced to turns towards the book.

He has his thumbs on the edge of the book, ready to open it. But Abby then call him "Hey, J!"

He turns to his left, he saw Abby stand not far from him but away from the Pentagram. She spoke something, but he couldn't hear what she said. He only felt the confusion and curiosity that he currently shared. He nodded and opens the book.

White filled his vision and there's a faint pain in his chest. He couldn't remembered anything else after that... just lingering feeling that everything he experienced was real

Parker opens his eyes as the alarm blaring, he sits up from his small dinosaur themed bed and his hand reached the cupboard next to his bed, where the alarm was. He press down the button on the black rectangle clock and the alarm fell silent, he got up from the bed and silently strolls towards his bathroom.

When he reached his destination he immediately went to the sink and washes his face, cold temperature of Morning water hit his face and woke him up fully. He glance up and saw his face, a familiar yet unfamiliar gaze met his own as he stare on his reflection in the mirror. His face was young and yet he felt that it was far too young. His eyes was always blue but he felt that this one was much more deeper and has cross near his pupil, just like his Mother's eyes

He grabs a toothpaste and brush from a cup across him without breaking his gaze, his mind then wandered to his dream earlier as he brushes his teeth

'Abby' he thought as he recalled he had no friend with such name in his class, yet he remember that he knew her from way back in kindergarten. he pulls out the brush from his mouth and spits the foam in his mouth, as he continue his morning routine his minds starts to ponder

'Is that dream really happened? Did the ritual really work? Or...' his hand then reached his chest where he could feel a lingering small pain inside it 'nah, probably just one of those weird dream'

He then grabs a towel next to the sink and wiped his face then walks out from the bathroom, he then walks to a window next to his bed then opens it and look at the view below him.

It was a typical suburban neighborhood where you usually saw in the anime, a house built next to each other with small patch of land and grey brick wall divided them. He then noticed his neighbor waved at him from their backyard and he wave back with a smile, he didn't exactly know them personally but doing a good act didn't hurt. His eyes then wanders back to the scenery and felt them both familiar and alien at the same time.

He then turns around and walks towards the door across him then opens it, a hallway stood before him with two doors; one across him; his parents' bedroom and the other between them; a guest bedroom, right in front of the middle door was the stairs. He walks down the stairs and then turn to the left, where the dining room was.

Delicious smell bombarded his nose as soon as he entered the dining room, in the room his parents already seated on the dining table except his father who was about to stand up. The older parker then turns to see his son already up and about.

"Oh, I was about to wake you up, Jeb" he sits down and grabs his newspaper back "come on, go get your breakfast! Mom was in the mood for a pancake today, so grab one before she devours all of them" he teased and got a playful smack on his shoulder from his wife

The young parker nodded and walks to the chair across his parents then sat down. In front of him sit a stack of pancakes, they have syrup dripping from the top to the bottom and a small block of butter sat on the top, slowly melting. He stare on it for a while until a plate of pancake was placed in front of him, he glance towards his mom and nodded in thanks. He then grabs a fork and knife from the container next to the pancakes.

"So what's your plan for today?" Naomi spoke as she opens up a book on the table next to her plate, she then flip to the next page

Parker shrugs "I don't know, probably playing Pokémon all day" he then took a bite of his pancake and a perfect combination of honey and pancake bombarded his tongue, his mother sure knows how to make a pancake "almost near the end, I already at the 5th gym. One more gym and a fight with the boss of Team Plasma then I beat the game"

George nodded, although he didn't understand what his son was talking about, he's a Digimon Player himself and never even played a Pokémon game his whole life "and what are you going to use? Is it that Pikachu in your party?" he asked

Parker frowns a bit, he knows that his father knows only abysmal amount of Pokémon but he was glad that he played along "it was Emolga, Dad." He corrected

"Really? Looks the same to me though, same rat same type" George chuckled, his wife seeing the exchange smiled softly. He then threw his significant other a sideway glance, she understands about the unspoken sign. But before one of them could say anything, Parker spoke up

He looks down, to his plate of half eaten pancake "About the Disneyland yesterday, forget about it" he said, his parents turn to him and saw he had an unreadable expression on his face "turns out it was just a dream"

"O-oh Okay then" George said, surprised. He then coughed in nervousness, he didn't know what happened overnight but seeing Parker flat expression he decide to spoke "how about this, next summer we'll going to visit your grandparents in Musutafu, how's that sound?"

Parker's face lit up, he looks up to his father "really?"

"Uh-uh, you remember them don't you? After all the last time they visit us was when you were 2"

To be perfectly honest, he didn't. He know how they looks like only because his Parents hung a photo of them in the living room, "I didn't..." he admitted

"Well, that's okay" Naomi reassured "you can get to know them again when we visit next summer"

After that the Parker finished their breakfast and went to do what they need to do, in Naomi and George case was going to work, even though it was weekend they still have the obligation to go since becoming a doctor especially a surgeon is a restless job, and she's content with that

George the other hand was reluctant, he work as a journalist and even though he likes the job, his boss was a real piece of work to him—especially due to his foreign origin, it's a miracle he didn't even got fired yet

Parker on the other hand went straight to his bedroom after bidding his Parents goodbye. After he made sure to locked all the doors, he grabs his Neo DS and about to boot Pokémon Absolute Black, then he noticed a box sitting next to it; a box that he was sure not there before... or he was just to engrossed about his dream that he didn't noticed.

The box was light blue in color, with an image the vaguely shaped like an hourglass on its lid. It has green diagonal lines drawn on the sides of the box.

Parker raised an eyebrow "what's this?" he asked no one in Particular, he then lifted the box and shook in next to his ear. There's something inside it and from the sound it made it was smaller than the box, his eyes moves down and saw an envelope with the same hourglass image but it was in the shape of wax seal.

He puts down the box and grabs the letter then flip them, he saw 'For Jebediah Parker' written in cursive Latin. He was intrigued and suspicious, suspicious because he knew that no one he personally knows—except his Mom and Dad—write in Latin. Intrigued because who in this year and age uses Letter anymore. Without a second thought he opens the seal and took out the folded paper inside it.

He unfolds the paper and read the Message, it was written in katakana

'Dear Mr. Jebediah Parker

"Huh?" that's all Parker could say after reading the message, "is this Prank? Am I being pranked?" he asked himself and then looks around the room to spot if there are any hidden cameras. He turns his attention to the piece of paper on his hand again.

He was skeptical about this, sure he was a 4 year old but that didn't mean he would believe something like this. If his mom read this she would instantly called it an 'absolute hogwash,' and he would fully agree with her. Giving someone power willy-nilly like this was something that he often saw in old pre-Quirk era movies his father watch on his spare times. It was an interesting prospect, but it's both dangerous and will only invite problems... at least it was what his dad said when he asked about something like this.

Even though he was skeptical, he's but a 4 years old—a big part of him also hoped that this was real, as 'hoghwashy' as it sounds. He was conflicted... if he did what the message said and it was fake, he would feel stupid for the rest of his life even though no one saw it. On the other hand if it was true, he'll gain another power and maybe he can try to be a hero in the future... just like his classmates aspire to be.

He pursed his lips 'what to do... what to do...?' he lamented, his eyes then glance around the room and it fell towards his bedside table where he saw a coin—10 yen coin to be precise. His mind then wanders to a time where he and his father watching a Wild West themed old movie, he precisely remembered the protagonist used coin to decide something.

"Worth a shot" and he decided to do the same, he walks to the table and picks up the coin then puts it on forefinger with his thumb under it ready to flick it. He decides if the coin shows the head, he would do it. If its tail, he wouldn't

"Alright, here we go" he flicks the coin up in the air where it flips around really fast. The coin fell down and he tried to catch it, but it hit his head instead and rebound to the floor where it spins and fell on the 'head' side. He saw this and shrugs then fold the letter and put it on the table.

He took a deep breath and put his hand inside his pajama pants pocket. "Login" and as the word came out of his mouth he felt a splitting headache hit his head. He clutched his head and down on his knees, he gritted his teeth and unable to let out a scream let alone uttering a word, only able to let out pained grunts. Tears run down his cheeks as he tried his best to endure.

During his headache his vision was flooded with color blue, to the point he couldn't see any other color other than it. The color became more transparent as the time goes on, and before long it his vision turned into normal again. Jumbled text then filled his vision until few words appeared on the center of his vision

'Initializing Kala 1.0...'

Then the jumbled words disappear and lines of 1 and 0s rain down on his vision. When the binary stops coming out, another words replaced the earlier text

'Welcome, Jebediah Parker'

His headache then gone in an instant and replaced by a soothing feeling inside his head that distract him from crying his eyes out.

He tried to reach the words in front of him but when he extend his arm it didn't even touch the words, as if the words was just inside his eyes. Before he can utter a word or even thought about something, the text changes again

Parker stand and moved to his bed then lay down, as soothing as the feeling he currently feel, It didn't erase the fact that he felt like shit. His breath was a little labored as he read the new appearing text.

He jolt up, anger replaced his tiredness "What!? I endured that fucking headache to just wait for 6 fucking years!? Fucking hell, man" Parker cursed and then he realized what did he said, He was confused. Did he just speak fluent English? He was only learning a bit about English and it was from his parents. And he swore to gods that his parents never said any swear words in his life, all he knows was the English of animals and vegetable at best...

His eyes then focused on the upper corner of his vision and read the text written on them

Post Mortem Memory Sync – 0.2%

"Post Mortem..." he muttered and then rise from his bed and walks out of his room. His destination now was the book shelves in the living room, where his mother kept her English Dictionary. When he reached the bookshelves he then immediately pulls out the thickest book in the shelf. He opens it and searched for the words, he didn't found any entries about Mortem but he did found something when he searched for Post.

"a medical examination of a dead person's body in order to find out the cause of death" he read the entry, his young mind then piece together the clues that has been given to him "memory... after death..." his grips on the dictionary then slacked and the book fell down to the floor, he lets himself fell on his backside. He then holds his head as dreadful expression filled his face.

"A...am I already dead?" he whispered, shocked. He then pulls down his hands and focus his gaze on them. "It has to be a joke right? There's no way this is fucking real!"

In his mind Parker did all his best to deny everything he just experienced as a dream inside another dream, after all it won't be the first time for him to experience such thing. He then thought about how people will wake up if they were given stimuli, he decided to punch his own face as hard as he can... and yet it was just proving that this fear he feeling was real.

And then he start to remember things that he shouldn't have; he remembered being bullied in elementary school and the time he went to a carnival with Abigail and one other girl in final years of Middle school.

Parker filled with despair, but there's a sudden dull sensation that soothing his haywire emotion... it was miniscule but it was there nonetheless. Then after 2 minutes he didn't feel it anymore, the feeling of despair and hopelessness earlier just gone... and as long as he didn't think about his origin he won't feel sad or depressed.

He stands up and put back the dictionary on the shelf then walks back to his room. as long as he was distracted by something his mind wouldn't wander towards his earlier thought, so he decide to spend the day playing Pokémon... just like he planned this morning.

Years has passed, his Quirk has manifested the day after he opens the letter, now he's in the final year of his elementary school. And to be honest he couldn't care if he got a Quirk or not, because after his Quirk manifested he was treated as an 'upcoming villain' due to his Quirk nature... it was saddening for him, the friends he plays with wouldn't want to play with him again and for the young parker it was like the world has ended... until he got another memories resurfaced.

Now he couldn't care, it was human nature to hate what they didn't understand or different from them. He hated it, but it was out of his hand. At the very least these kinds of people was minority... in his previous world that is.

It was fortunate that his family didn't share the same view as them. they didn't judge Parker because of his Quirk, especially his grandparents.

Every two summer he and his family visited them and most of the time Parker got to meet his Uncle and Aunt; The Hatsume. Speaking of them, they have a daughter; Mei Hatsume.

She's a shy girl most of the time, when Parker first met her he was flabbergasted the number of Support Item related Toys she brought. And at his second visit he learned that Mei and Parker shared the same birthday, she was a year older than Parker but they were on the same grade. Mei is different when she playing with her toy, she was so focused on them to a point where she wouldn't hear someone calling her name.

Now Parker's family went to his Grandparent's house, it wasn't their bi-yearly visit since they visited them last year, Parker wasn't as excited as he usually is... but it was a needed break for him.

Recently his thought often wanders towards his origin, since his Memory already 85% synced. He often thought about his Parents on Earth, he worried for them even thought his memory of them were almost completely wiped out. The only pristine memory was his original name and its origin.

Jebediah Jameson was his name on Earth, he was named after his great-great grandfather that died during WWII, and in this world he was named Jebediah by his Grandmother from his father side of family, she named him after her brother who was died 20 years ago, he was an anti Meta Liberation Army activist.

Both of them was a well-known people and Parker planned to join them in the hall of fame... except the dead part of course, because he's done that. But he is currently in dilemma for what or how he could achieve that. This has plagued his thought for weeks and it starts to gnaw on his psyche.

Before he could continue his thought, they already arrived on their Destination. His family's red Mercedes GLA slowly stops as the familiar Japanese styled two stories house came to view, his Father who was driving the Car stops near the opened wooden gate in front of the house. They parked near a familiar car, it was medium sized blue sedan with four seats, the glass was tinted black and it has dark silver rims.

George turns off the car and he opens the car door, it was followed by Naomi and Parker. George then walks over towards their car's backdoor "you two go first, I'll catch up in a bit" he half shouted

"You sure you didn't need any help, dad?" Parker asked, then a smirk crosses his lips "you don't have to act strong, Old man~" he teased

"Hahaha...so funny, Jeb" George response sarcastically

Parker's ear then pulled by his mother "Don't tease your father like that" his mother chastised him, she then motion him to follow her "let's go, your grandparents must've been waiting for us"

He pouts "Yes, Mom" and he entered the big house with his mother walks beside him.

As soon as they entered they were greeted warmly with hugs from the seniors, and the Hatsume. Parker was greeted by pinch on the cheek by his grandparents, a thing that he should've seen coming. After that, he left his mother side that was busy with catching up with her family. He walks to the living room that hasn't changed one bit.

It's a quite big 5x5 room with traditional Japanese setting. It connected right to the garden on the west side of the room, an old and big cherry tree stood in the middle of the garden. The room has few eye catching pieces; there's a small shrine stood at the opposite side of the entrance, a 20 cm high vases in each corner of the room and a scroll hung on top of the door to the garden.

His eyes then wander to the sole person in the room; Mei Hatsume, the lone girl sat on the edge of walkway and gazing at the sakura tree. She wore a pink blouse, blue knee-length skirt with flowers motifs blooming from the bottom edge, and lastly she wore a pair of bracelet on her left wrist. Her shoulder length pink hair tied into a ponytail.

She's awfully quiet, not like her usual self. Usually she spends her time listening to her collection of Metal songs and drawing something on a blueprint, whether it was a suit of armor or a jetpack. And now she's just...sitting there and gazing out to the distant, it felt off...

He walks towards her "Yo, Hatsume!" he greeted

The girl jolted up in surprise and turns around, she saw Parker approaching her. She put on a small smile "Hey, didn't know you'll visit, Parker" she said, her gaze followed Parker who decide to sit next to her "you visited last summer right? I thought you wouldn't visit until next summer"

Parker shrugs "My mom has some business at a hospital nearby, so we won't here for the rest summer like usual, we're here for 2 weeks at best"

"Oh, that's a shame" she said with small frown on her face "you'll miss our yearly Shrine visit then"

"Yeah, kinda look forward to it to be honest—especially the fireworks" he sighs dejectedly "the celebration in Fukuoka not really great nowadays and with my Mom and Dad usually busy with big days like that, it's just really lonely at home, you know"

Her eyes widen a bit "you didn't spend the night with your friends?" she curiously asked

Parker waved his hand dismissively "nah, didn't have one since kindergarten" he denied casually "most of them are dick, once they get to know my Quirk they either called me a 'Villain' or a 'Pervert'. Like hey, it's not my fault that I born with these eyes." He then laid flat on his back and dangle his feet at the edge of the wooden walkway "so yeah, haven't open up to somebody outside of our family in years"

Hatsume winced "Sorry for bringing that up, I didn't know"

"Don't worry about it, it wasn't your fault anyway" he then sigh "I tried to focus on other things nowadays, I've got enough things in my mind to pay attention on their shits"

Parker saw Hatsume's expression shifted from the corner of his vision "yeah, you shouldn't focus on them..." she trailed off and turns her head forward, her yellow eyes unfocused.

"That's enough about me though, what about you?" Parker asked "I heard UA already opened their Support course recruitment, they waiting for young inventors to show off their gadget. Plan on joining? You got a thing with Support gear right?"

She winced "Y-yeah, about that... I think I'll pass"

This piqued Parker's interest, he raised an eyebrow "what gives? I thought that you'll be interested in the news" he then folded his hands and placed it under his head "what changed?"

"I just lost interest..." she answered in a quiet tone

Parker sat up and looks at her intensely "you serious?" She nodded in response, it filed Parker with disbelief and a bit of suspicion, because not just she acting more quiet and reserve, she said that she lost interest in the whole thing she always talk about when he had conversation her.

"I just realized that it was a phase, you know..." she looks down, and Parker noticed that her left hand was shaking a bit "so I decide to get over it, my obsession back then was childish..."

Parker was unconvinced, she seems so fragile... it was like it wasn't Hatsume at all "You sure?" he asked and she nodded but didn't reply. Parker sighs and got up, he can't bother with stuff like this... with his own problem he's not sure he could help her, especially when he didn't knew the issue was

Parker turns around and entered the living room, he glance around the room seeking something to distract himself with, his eyes landed on a TV remote on a small table in the middle of the room. He shrugs and sat down then grabs the remote. he presses the big red button and a 32 inch flat screen TV across the room coming to life, the first channel it show was a News channel that reporting an illegal quirk usage that speculated to be an act of terror towards the big shot that lives near it, but before the news caster could explain any further he clicked a button and changed the channel

It now shows a soap opera that his mother watches most of the time, apparently the show now has Endeavour doing a cameo. And he was curious how in hell they got Endeavour to play a part in it, he looks like a guy who has a life-long goal of passing All Might. His name and few of the Heroes is familiar to him, he has a feeling that he read them somewhere... does that mean this world was fictional? That his life now was nothing but fake? That his pare-

He shook his head to keep the thought away, he was trying to distract himself... not drown in it. He felt a familiar soothing feeling and like just back then he was distracted again, he smile and presses the remote again.

The channel changed into a gossip show, it tells a scandal that Midnight was in... And he change the channel again, he was never a fan of gossip not in this life not in-

He sighs "why did I keep thinking about that?" he whispered in annoyance. He drown out what the Tv was showing and he look down on the table, his grip on the remote tighten and he slams it on his thigh, he changed the channel again in complete accident.

He still drowns the noise around him and locks his glare on the small oak table, his eyebrows now furrowed. "Goddamnit, why can't I just forget anything altogether... these partial memories..." he growled lowly. It was slowly killing him, the feeling of know something and not at the same time frustrate him to no end. It's like an itch inside the skin that he always feels and won't go away... the Memory of Abby, his life, and even his other friend was mostly gone. He couldn't recall who was his other friend, his previous parents or even his favorite food in past life. These feeling made him feel something that he shouldn't feeling, the hate for life.

He gritted his teeth and raised his hand, he wants to slam it to the table in front of him—everything be damned. He was about to slam down his hand but then he felt something grabs his wrist.

He jolted up and with wide eyes turns to his raised right hand where his eyes landed on the offending hand on his wrist, he trailed the arm and his sight landed on Mei who has her eyes locked to something in front of him. Sounds slowly refilled his hearing and the sound of TV gained his attention. The TV showed a presentation of Support gears and other things that Detnerat—a big support company—has made.

"Don't change the channel, yet" he heard Hatsume demanded and he felt the grip on his wrist loosened. Parker absentmindedly nodded and placed the remote on the table. He turns again and saw that Hatsume was engrossed to the presentation to the point she scarcely blink, smile touched his lips. It was Hatsume that he knows, even in her focused eyes he could saw the passion and happiness within... as small as it was

It filled Parker with small happiness "lose interest my ass" he muttered and shook his head, but Hatsume was too engrossed on the show to hear him. He turns to watch the TV but his eyes landed on Hatsume's left hand on the table—he could see small faint scar between her thumb and forefinger, from the shape of it he sure it was a burn scar.

"Hatsume, what happened to your hand?" he automatically asked, he then felt that it was a bad thing to do since he noticed that this hand was shaking during their talk earlier. He gulped and turns to her, he sighs in relief because Hatsume was still in trance 'avoided a landmine, is this scar related to her losing interest earlier?' he mused, he really wants to ask but there's nagging feeling that she wouldn't say anything about it... so he will wait, he has 2 weeks and he will have her spill the bean before he go home.

2 days later, afternoon.

Parker was reading a biology book about human anatomy, it was an interesting read for him, he wasn't sure if it was hereditary thing since his mother has the same interest and he often thought he would be a well-known surgeon like his mother... but he's not as compassionate as his mother, so he was sure that he wouldn't be able to become as good as her.

Before he could continue his train of thought, someone put their hand on his shoulder And in instinct he slap the offending limb. He turns to his left and saw his uncle, Ryotaro Hatsume. His uncle was surprised by the reaction

"Sorry, my shoulder is quite sensitive to touch" Parker apologized. He never told his other family members about this weird quirk he has because it appears at the same time as his memories—probably a semblance of self he once had.

Ryotaro shook his head "No, don't worry I'm just surprised." He then look at the book that Parker was reading, he smile fondly "biology huh? Guess its run in your family" he then turns to Parker again "by the way, have you seen Mei around?"

Parker shook his head "no, can't say I have" true, he didn't see Hatsume again since Breakfast

His uncle sighs, he then looks around "where that girl went to?" he asked no one in particular "never imagined she became that distant, seems it's still bugging her..." he whispered

Parker eyes slightly widen 'what's bugging her?' it seems this was the time he ask what happened to Mei and her Dad is probably the best start. "What's bugging her, Ryo-san?" he asked

Hatsume's father eyes widen a bit "a-ah, it's nothing, Jeb" he stuttered "you don't need to worry yourself about it..."

Parker shook his head "I can't help but worry, Ryo-san. She's became more detached and quiet all of a sudden, and when I tell her about UA opening up their support course recruitments she told me that she's not interested. And yet she's seems sad when she said that"

Parker noticed that he seems conflicted after he said that, he's in the right track. He thought over what to say but then his mind then wander to the scar he saw "is it about the scar on her hand?"

The older Hatsume's expression became serious "did she show it to you?" he asked

Parker shook his head "No, I noticed it by myself and I was a bit nervous to ask her that after seeing her behavior" he lied at the end

Ryotaro closes his eyes and cupped his chin, few moments later he sighs "I'll tell you" he then sat down next to Parker "it was few months ago, you know that Mei always so focused when she built her things right?" Parker nodded "that day, she was tuning her gadget in the garage, just like she usually did... but that unfortunate day her gadget exploded on her hand when she wore it, and not just injuring herself... it burned down our house"

Parker's eyes widen "your house was burned down!?" he asked, shocked. He never heard it, not even from his parents

Ryotaro has sad smile on his face "your parents didn't say anything isn't they?" he shook his head "Naomi always like that. Don't worry about it though we're doing better now... well mostly"

Parker nodded, he pieced up every clue his uncle gave him 'so, she still blame herself for what happened and she reasoned that her invention will only bring misfortune' he mused

Ryotaro got up and ruffle his hair "Can you do me a favor, Jeb?" he asked, Parker looks up "I know you're not here for whole summer but can you please keeps Mei company during your stay? We already said that we forgave her but seems like it still gnawing on her"

Parker nodded "leave it to me" he said, determined

Ryotaro smiled softly "if I remember correctly, she often went to the park a block away from here" he said and left

Parker turns back to his book and close it, he got up and brings up his phone to search the nearest Park.

Mei sit all by her lonesome at the middle of a quite park, the park has some kids playing around but the cloudy weather made most people went back to their home. Mei never like silence, it filled her with anxiety and made her super nervous... that's why she sitting on the swing so the squeaky chains banished the silence.

She's been thinking about her obsession with support items and technology, every time she zoned out in her project she broke things most of the times—she has no spatial awareness during this moment, and the last time she did that it almost cost her life... it cost her family, it's a miracle that the fire didn't burn down their neighbors' house, it made her finally aware of the problem she has.

And decide to stop creating anything, after all who wants to use a death trap on themselves?

"Hey" a boyish voice spoke to her and she turns, she saw Parker leaning sideway on the Swing's rusty frame while looking at her "I've been looking for you, your Dad worried you know?"

The Pinkette eyes slightly widen "Really?" she then looks down" I'll apologize later then..."

Parker turns his head sideway, his sight landed to a group of children playing on a sandpit "a penny for your thought?" he asked in English, Hatsume turns towards him in confusion "I mean, mind telling me what's on your mind?" he reiterated

"O-oh, nothing—I just in the mood for walk on the park" she looks at the direction Parker looking at and decide to watch the kids playing in the sandpit

"We always like that, once in a while" he nodded, and then turns his head to Hatsume "especially, when we're sad"

She jolt up and turns to Parker, shaky smile on her Face "W-what are you talking about, Parker? I'm not sad—I'm just not in the mood for social gathering you know?"

"And you went to the Park?" he asked, eyebrow raised "that's really convincing, Hatsume"

Hatsume narrowed her eyebrows and looks away "why would you care anyway? It wasn't your business" she muttered, annoyed

Parker nodded "you're right, it wasn't" he looks up with neutral expression and rests his hands in the pocket of his Blue hoodie and sighs "how about this? I tell you what have been plaguing my mind and I won't force you to tell yours?" Hatsume didn't answered, so he took it as a yes

"Lately, I've been thinking about my upbringing and every time I think about it, I felt that everything I've experienced are nothing but fabrication; my school, my relationships and even my life. I felt that my life was nothing but lies made for other's amusement... and every time my mind wanders towards them, I can't help but feel sad and empty..." he trailed off

He then sit on the other swing seat, chain clinking as he did so "I always distract myself with other things to do, you know? Studying, reading etcetera-etcetera... and lately its start to became less and less effective. A single word can even bring back the thought into my mind and I will be drown in frustration most of the time, I just wants it to end you know? I want my blissful ignorance back just so I can actually enjoy anything in my life again..." he ended

They sat down in silence, Parker looks at the retreating form of the children who played at the sandbox and he noticed that the sky was getting darker.

He wouldn't force her to tell her problem, he wants her to know that she's not the only one that currently in turmoil. What he said was all true. He hated being harassed by dreams that shows him his past life. He want to know what happen, he want to know what kind of person he was, and he want to know who his friends was, unfortunately... all of his memories abruptly ends. This entire dream made him feel that nothing matters if he couldn't even recall them, what was the point of eternal rest when there's nothing to dream off.

"I fucked up so badly" Hatsume finally said "my creations bring nothing but misery. I almost killed myself because I want to make some dumb shit gloves that shoot fire, I'm nothing but a failure"

Parker turns to her, he saw that Hatsume rubbed her burn scar "I made my parents worked themselves to the bone, all because of my stupid obsession and I took away their hard works" she hissed, her head hung lowly and she stopped her swing

"I envy all of you, you all can focus on anything when doing stuff, while me? I can't even focus on something if my life depends on it and this scar was the proof" she spat as she clenched her hand to a fist "I don't hide it so it will always be a reminder of a failure I am, I'm nothing but a burden and I will always be one"

She then continued "My dream was to become the best Inventor, but that's just it; a dream. I think I'll become a teacher one day, so my useless knowledge would at least useful for somebody. Don't want for someone to die in my death trap after all...hehe" she chuckled bitterly

Parker turns his head forward again and they sat there in silence once more, he didn't know what to say or do. He already has his plate full and can't say he wants to fill it again, but he wants to help her badly—she's the first person that said his Quirk was cool, she's the first people she opens up with, she's also the person he shared birthday with most the time he went to Musutafu... she's the first friend he ever had in years. His friend was in problem and he now didn't know what to do...

He racked his brain for something that could help her, he won't say that 'it's going to be fine' or 'don't give up' because it's a hollow words that she's probably had heard hundreds of times already. His eyes glance around him, then it lands on a rusted screwdriver near his feet... it reminds him of few of his memories with Abby, it was the reason they started their friendship then an idea popped up in his head

He reached the screwdriver and dusted it off, the screwdriver was rusty on its end but probably with a bit of grind it would be good as new "you know, I've been thinking about dreams too to distract myself with..." he inspect the rubber handle of the tool "I was named by my Grandma after her brother who was an activist, then it hits me. I was named Jebediah because my parents wants me to carved my name into history book like my predecessor was and I'm not going to lie, I like the idea"

Parker turns to face Hatsume "but, I want to be different from him, I don't want to carve my name and die, that isn't my cup of tea. I want to live as long as I can and carved my name as Jebediah Parker to the world as the richest person" he then juggled the tool he holding "you want to become the greatest inventor the world ever know right? How about this... I want to be your assistant"

Hatsume was taken aback "h-huh? My assistant...?"

Parker nodded "yeah, you're a tech head right? What you need is an assistant, people who help you and watch for you and I want to be that person. You see, I saw an infinite possibility the moment I saw your interest and I have a hunch that you can do hundreds time better in the future—so I proposed this. It would be a shame to lose such an aspiring and determined inventor as you, you know?"

"B-but, I would only hurt people with my death traps" she said hesitantly

"No, not Death Traps. Those means that you purposefully made them lethal, what you did was accident... think your inventions as..." his mind went blank. 'W-w-w-what I suppose to say? Failed masterpiece? Halted progress? Step towards success? I can't think of better terms!' he internally screamed, he needs to act soon because he already has her interested on his proposition—since she didn't outright denied them 'come on, Jeb! Think of something, if you don't quick she's going to lose interest and it'll be all for nothing!' he frantically think as his eyes subtly wander. It then landed on a baby doll that stuck on a tree, not far from them, near the sandpit

"A baby..." he accidentally muttered out loud

Hatsume scrunched her eyebrows "Baby? Seriously?" she parroted, unconvinced

Realized that he said his mind out loud he decide to confirm that "Y-yes, a Baby! You know, goo goo gaa gaa I need milk babies!" Hatsume became more visibly confused, Parker raised his hand "Listen, I know it's sound weird, but hear me out" he tried to at least made her listen to all of the made up bullshit that he's about to say and fortunately she nodded

'Okay, here it goes... God, please take the wheel' he prayed, he then gulped "from what you told me, in a sense; your inventions are like babies. They often short lived and imperfect, some successes and grows. But that's A-ok, after all if they failed, you can use them to make another Baby using their unused 'limbs', just like Dr. Frankenstein..." he...explained. 'And God has jumped out of the car!'

"You want me to become an unhinged scientist?" she asked "is this supposed to help, Parker?" her eyes narrowed

'Shit! Now the car is heading towards a busy freeway!' he nodded "Yes, you see. You need to learn from what went wrong and strive to be a better mother for them! I'm sure you wouldn't want to quit just yet right? I mean, you haven't created the ultimate baby yet!"

She perked up and looks away "The ultimate baby?" her eyes then downcast "I-I don't think I could do that, I've tried to learn and all I learned was that I'm not even remotely a good 'mother'"

'Good! The car is slowing down' Parker raised his hands in placating manner "and that's where I enter the fray! Every Dr. Frankenstein needs their Igor right? I will be your long nosed gremlin of an assistant. In the operating table, I'll keep an eye on you while also helping you. Furthermore with my understanding of human anatomy, you could create every gadget for everyone with every need."

Parker then spin the screw driver he hold "I will assist you in your pursuit of godhood! We will control the Japan- No, the world's Technology and Economy and we will become the Stark of the World!" he then flick the tool upwards and catches it on its rusty end

"What do you say, Doc?" he asked her, soft smile on his lips "care to do some surgery?"

Hatsume was hopeful; it was the first time she ever has got a response like this. Sure her parents forgave her, but she didn't, it's been gnawing on her mind and it really shows. She doesn't know what to say... on one hand, it will be a restart of her dream to become world's greatest invention, but on the other she couldn't help that Parker main drive was greed and he indirectly implied that he'll use her—it could be a pessimistic thought she has due to her current condition, all of this made her conflicted

"Sorry, I can't accept" she got up, her expression unreadable "I'm not a naïve little girl that you can sway easily, you know" she then walk forwards

Parker sighs 'looks like the car exploded' he sighs internally, he then saw an object coming towards him from his peripherals and raised an arm in response, something hard hit it and landed on his lap—it was nut and bolt, and in a pristine condition

He turns towards Hatsume, where the thing was thrown from. Hatsume's face was flat, but if he looks closely he could see a ghost of smile and hope filled her eyes "tell you what, if you're serious about all this. Meet me at Aldera next semester, and then we talk business"

Parker smirked "sounds good to me" he then throw the screwdriver towards the Pinkette to which she catches "see you next spring, Doc" she turns around and left.

After Hatsume left, parker let his shoulder slump down as he let out a long sigh "by god, that was nerve wracking... if she unsatisfied by my answer; it could be the end of our friendship" he muttered, Parker shook his head "nah, she's not that kind of girl—I'm thinking too much into it"

He then felt a presence near him and Parker lift his head and look around the empty park, there's nothing out of ordinary; it's just an empty park with a purple wormhole in the sandpit... wait, a what? He then turns to the sandpit direction and there's stood a purple swirling wormhole on top of the sandpit; the wormhole was as big as his grandparents' front gate—that mean about 2 meters in width and 4 in height—and it was spinning slowly on top of the sandpit.

Parker looks around its surrounding, he spotted few toys that were left by some kids and they weren't suck by it. He then stood up and approaches the possibly crack in time and space, then he stops 2 meters away from it and observe it closely.

"And what are this supposed to be?" he asked himself "I know this is a wormhole of sort, but what caused it? A Quirk or Divine intervention?" he scratched his chin in thought, he then grabs a pebble near his feet and threw it on the dimensional-gate-thingy, the pebble passed through it and landed not far from the wormhole. "It phases through... so, it wasn't a Quirk then—because from what I read, this kind of Quirk 9/10 times let objects enter it—then that's makes it a tear in Space and time, a divine intervention"

He then gained an idea, one that risky as hell. He lift his arm and glance between it and the portal "can I enter it?" he asked no one "I probably can, but where does it take me? hopefully not to some no name island with cannibals in it or worse a dimension entirely filled with cannibals islander" he shivered, he watched movie with premised like this once with his mom and once was enough.

He then took a step closer "alright, fate. Don't pull a fast one on me, please" he prayed and slowly insert his hand to the portal, he still feel his arm intact and push it deeper. "H-hey!" a voice suddenly cried and Parker was surprised, he was leaned too much, his feet slips on the sands and fell face first into the rip on space

Parker was flat face first unto the ground and he landed on a soft field of grass, He pushed himself up "ouch, ouch, ouch... I hope I didn't broke my nose" he muttered as he nursed his nose, he then noticed the green patch of land and look around his surrounding, looks like He's now on a green meadow in the middle of ... Somewhere

"Where the hell did I ended up at?" he muttered as he used his quirk to zoom 30 meters and look at his surroundings. There's nothing but trees surrounding the meadow, it was so thick that he couldn't see pass them. He looks up and the cloudy sky is now clear blue with few clouds here and there, the sun was right above him but it wasn't as hot as summer sun, it felt pleasantly warm instead. The boy finally turns around and the swirling vortex was still there, he was glad it wasn't a one way trip

"H-h-hey, are you alright?" a timid voice shakily shouted from beyond the portal, it was the same voice that surprised him

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Parker shouted back "can you hear me from here!?" he wants to make sure about something

"Y-y-yeah, Thank goodness you okay!" the voice said in relief

"You and I both, pal!" he replied, he then noticed something moving on his left and turns to face the approaching figure, he was surprised by what was hopping towards him

It was small green blob that was about 23 centimeters high, it has 2 black oval dots that blinking every now and then, and it also has small antenna on its top with small pink ball on its end. It let out small purr like cats

Parker was stupefied "u-uh, hello there, little guy" he said unsurely "can you tell me what this place is?" the slime ignores him and continue to hop towards him, parker took a step back "o-oh, you probably can't speak Japanese right? Sorry, i asked you 'where am I and what is this place?'" he reiterates in English and he still didn't get a response

"u-uh, who are you talking to?" the voice beyond the vortex asked

"Just some local, I guess...?" he said unsurely "I'm starting to think, this guy can't actually speak... at all"

The blob then leap towards him, Parker was surprised but managed to dodge by ducking. He turns to face his assailant "Hey, have you heard of stranger danger!?" he cried

"W-w-what happened!? Are you okay!?" the timid voice shouted again

Parker nodded "Yeah, just some prick who don't know what privacy meant" he replied with annoyance

"i-I think you better get here, before anything bad happens" the voice suggested

"you probably right, fate seems to hate me today" he muttered, he then turns around to go back to the park but he stopped right on his track, in front of the portal stood someone in a suit of armor plates resembling a knight, the armor plates looks similar to what one sees in cartoon rendition of knights. "Uh... Hello there, can I help you...sir?" he hesitantly asked, he took few steps back

The knight reaches to their back and pulls out a rusted great sword, they then slam the giant blade down on Parker. The boy jumps back and avoided the sudden attack "Sorry, sorry! I meant to say, Miss!" he shouted with shaky voice, the Knight then steps forward and dragged the embedded great sword with them "u-uh, dude can you send help? I think I just enraged some...thing" he cried to the person he's been speaking with

"W-w-What happened!?" the voice frantically asked

Parker shook his head while his gaze locks at the knight in front of him "I-I don't know, Man! This... dude just came and start swinging its big ass sword around!" he then noticed that the Knight was shambling towards him "h-hey, can you get help quick? I think my life actually in danger now" he yelled

"O-okay, J-j-just hang on! I think I saw a hero patrolling nearby!" and fading footsteps signifying the person's departure

"Hopefully, that dude didn't just ditch me" Parker muttered and took a defensive stance, his adversary still shambling towards him. "Did you drink too much? What convention did you went to?" his question didn't get any answer, a slow thrust answer him instead. Parker took steps to his side and evaded the shambling thrust "y-yo, chill! That thing is legit metal you know? You want me to meet and greet with Jesus or something!?"

He then took few steps back and now he's trying to keep his distance while keeping himself in the range of the Portal, he noticed a small rock next to his feet to which he grabs and throws it towards the knight as hard as he can. The stone hit the metal helmet and made a dent on it, it also fell from the knight's shoulder

Parker's eyes widen as he saw the helmet fell with a clang and a really old and dirty skull fell out from it. "W-what the hell, Y-y-y-yo dude, you okay right!?" Parker nervously asked, the headless knight lean forwards then leap really high, it then drops down on parker – who scrambling forward – with and overhead down slash

Parker turns around, his backside on the ground and saw the Knight missed yet another attack. Even though he wasn't getting any hit, it's still scary for him. He then heard footsteps fading in, he glance to his back and sighs in relief when he noticed that the sound was coming from the Portal

"S-s-sorry, I can't ask for help" he said apologetically

Parker scowled "Then try again! There must be another one that willing to help!"

"I-I tried, but nobody seems able to see this portal!" that made his heart sink, he then heard a clank of metals and jumps back, evading yet another attack. Parker weights his choice; if he uses the portal again, he could lead this menace into the park and potentially endanger the timid voice's lives, or he could face it here and be done with it... or he could just use it anyway and be damned with the consequences, after all this is all fiction... right?

He shook his head, No... He needs to fight back "H-hey Dude, is there anything I could use there!? Baseball bat, a big branch, Hell, is there any used Dildo lying around!? I need to use something to defend myself with!"

"o-o-oh, I'll look around!" and the voice left again

He then noticed a green blob leaping towards him from his side and he retaliates by swinging his hand, he intercepted the oncoming Slime, the slime was destroyed on contact and splattered on his arm. Green goo drips from his arm and hand unto the ground "Yuck!" he said, disgusted

Footsteps faded in again "H-h-hey, I found something, I'll throw it in!"

Parker eyes widen "W-wait, it wouldn't-"and a yellow-blue Nerf gun with drum magazine landed in front of the portal "work..."

"W-what did you say?"

Parker shook his head "I said 'Perfect weapon' Thanks!" he then sprints towards the toy gun and grabs it, he then aim it towards the Knight and pulled the trigger. The toy gun shoots out a bullet made out of plastic and sponge, the bullet hit the knight and it stumbled back—the armor was dented on where the bullet hit

Parker's eyes widen and inspect the gun in his hand, he then hear small purrs form behind him, he spun and let out 3 shots that hit three slimes—the slimes was splattered upon contact. He heard the familiar clanks of metals and sidestepped from an upwards slash, dust was raised as the giant sword was dragged on the ground. Parker swung the gun he hold in his right hand and hit the armored menace with the grip's underside right on its chest plate, the plate was dented again and he saw green goo came out from the knight's neck hole and splattered on his Nerf gun

The headless knight thrown back to the ground and fell flat on it back, it also lose the big sword it was holding. Parker looks at the green goo that stained the Yellow toy gun and he noticed that his arm that killed slime earlier has the same slimy liquid, his eyes widen in realization "that thing filled with slime?"

Sound of squeaking iron plate threw him out of his musing, he turns to his front and lock his gaze to the 'Slime Knight'. He then uses his Quirk and locked the Knight in his vision, his vision zoomed in and he found few possible weak points on its armor; the joints and the hole near its chest—where he hit it earlier. Parker smirks and took a stance, he aimed the Nerf gun with one hand and let out a hail of plastic, the plastic ammunition hits most of its intended target except the hole and the Slime knight torn into pieces

When the Nerf was emptied Parker relaxed his stance and let his hand fell to his side, he sighs and smiled. The Slime knight was no more; its limb was scattered on the ground, green liquid flows out from its remains. Parker twirls the gun in his hand and then puts it into an imaginary hostler in his right hips

"h-h-hey, are you alright?" the timid voice speak again

"As fine as Wine, Pardner. Fella picked the wrong cowboy ta mess with" Parker answered in English and with western accent.

"O...kay, C-can you get out now?" the voice asked, stupefied

"Alrighty" Parker answered, he turns around towards the portal and saw a glint on the grass nearby, he walks towards it and grinned at what he found

When Parker step out of the dimensional crack he was greeted by the view of rather Dark Park, he looks up and saw orange hue in the cloudy sky. Around him the Park lamps are already on, that means it's already pass 6pm and that would be mean he was gone for an hour or so. He looks forward, in front of him there's a boy his age that currently walking back and forth.

He has green messy hair, green eyes and the most prominent feature on his face was his freckled cheeks. He wore a red polo shirt, brown short cargo pants and red sneakers with white laces. He appears to be few millimeters shorter than him. Parker then noticed a faint burn mark on his right arm in the shape of hand; it was slightly hidden by the Polo's slightly long sleeves. Parker clear his throat to gain the greenette attention, he succeeded... tremendously; the boy jumped back with a yelp.

'That was an overreaction' he mused, Parker then raised his hand in placating manner "Calm down dude, I'm not a vengeful spirit" he reassured while gestured towards himself.

The greenette somewhat calmed down then sighs in relief "Thank goodness..." then he realized something and averted his eyes "L-l-look I'm s-s-sorry for surprising you earlier" he then bowed down "I'm truly sorry, Please forgive Me!"

Parker was taken aback, sure he was a bit miffed earlier but now he didn't think that it was a big of a deal. He then approached the greenette and put a hand on his shoulder, the gesture made the green boy tense "Nah, don't worry about it dude. Sure I was a bit upset earlier but it's okay now, you know why?"

"I-I'm afraid I don't" the greenette said nervously, his body tense ready to receiving a punch or a beat down... like he usually got, Instead a hand moved in to his vision with two 1000 yens in its grip. He was surprised and looks up to see Parker hunched a bit with grin across on his lips.

"You just gave me a way to get free money!" Parker said happily, he then placed his right hand on his new pal shoulder and straighten him up "you see, green" he then pointed to the Portal that still there "that thing, is my key to godhood. Inside them were slimy monsters that dropped yens when you kill them, ain't that wacky? Not just that, they can be killed with one hit—except the knight—too! You get what I'm saying?"

"N-no..." The greenette denied

Parker then pat the other teen's back "oh, come on! Don't be so tense, tell you what? As thanks I'll treat you! How's that sound?" he asked with smirk

"I-I 'm afraid I mu-"he tried to decline the invite

"Good answer, now let's go! You pick where to eat, Green!" Parker ignored him and pulls him out from the park. The greenette protest for few minutes but Parker ignored him and only answers his other question, few minutes later they stopped at a ramen stand. Parker bought them 2 bowls each since he got two thousands of yen to burn, Parker already finished his first bowl and about to eat his second bowl while the teen beside him barely eat halfway

Parker noticed this and stops eating, he gulped down a glass of water and turns to the green haired teen "you barely touch your food, you okay there, Green?" he asked, a bit worried

The greenette jerked back and waved his hand in dismissal "D-d-don't worry, I'm okay! There are just a lot of things in my mind" he reassured. Parker raised an eyebrow but nodded and dropped the issue

They then turns to their bowl and eat in silence, the green haired boy finished his first bowl and Parker halfway finished his second one. Parker then glance at his current companion and saw that he was looking on the bowl and has somewhat downcast expression on his face.

"Having a bad day?" Parker decides to not beat around the bush, he has a really long day and he need some rest.

The teen was surprised and jerked back again, he then turns to Parker again "N-no, don't worry about it"

"You're not the only one who said that to me today" Parker said with wry smile, he then brought his chopstick up and eats the deliciously hot noodle "you're too jumpy for normal kid, too apologetic and too nervous" he said as he much down his noodle, He then swallowed it and points his chopstick to the green haired teen

"You are especially tense too when I barely even approach you earlier, if I was putting my hand on your body then I'll ignore it...but" Parker's pupil then dilated as the cross that surround it rotated "you already tense when I stepped a foot, what was all that about?" he pushed on

The teen shrinks under Parker's gaze and looks away, his face was nervous and body tense. He then raised his hands to shield his face when he saw Parker's right hand lunge towards him, with chopstick in hand. He closes his eyes in response and waiting the chopstick to hit him, but just like earlier nothing hit him

A buzz in front of him catch his attention, he lower his hands and saw that Parker's chopstick was pinning a fly between their tips. The fly was still alive

"Sorry about that, but that proved something... you afraid of physical stimuli and especially afraid when it was coming from right hand. That meant you often got the exact stimuli or Trauma from right handed person, what I'm trying to say is... you're often bullied aren't you, Green?" he summarized

The greenette tense up, he lowered his head and turns back to his bowl. His expression grow sad and clenched his chopstick "y-yeah, I am" he confirmed

'That was utter bullshit, but thanks for confirming' Parker nodded and shifted his gaze towards the half-full glass of water that reflecting his image "you know... I can lend an ear for any brewing storm you had inside you. Maybe it'll help a bit" he then glance at his company again "this will be only one time offer though, choose wisely" then drink his water

"y-you know... since back then, I always wanted to be a hero... but one day something happened and since then, every time I say my dream; people would laugh or gave me a pitiful looks" he opens up, Parker looks down on his bowl in silence "... it hurts you know, not to mention Ka-my childhood friend turn his back on me... I should've seen the pattern, but I ignored them and paid the price. He bully me almost every single day, from verbal abuse to physical one" his hand moved to his scar

"I really want to leave the 'relationship' we have, but every time I tried to ignore and move away from him; he always step up his treatment on me. I'm stuck and because I was a coward I can't get out"

Parker closes his eyes and intertwines his fingers in front of him "am I right to guess that you're in final year of elementary school?" he asked, the boy nodded "I suggest you picked the middle school that your 'pal' would less likely went to, there you can start anew and maybe make friends, hopefully you'd able to find an even better friend"

"T-then what if he went to the same school? Or there isn't anyone who wants to be my friend?"

"If the bastard went to your school, ignore him and joins a self-defense class; kendo, taekwondo or boxing, there are a lot to choose if you has the physical requirement that is..."

The greenette winced "i-I think, they wouldn't want to be remotely related to me..."

"That's because...?"

The teen run his hand on his hair "Who would want to be related to a Quirkless?" he said in defeat, while mentally prepared to receive a jeer from his current company

Parker shrugged "you'd be surprised, people too focused on Quirk nowadays. Quirk this... Quirk that... sometimes it's nauseating. Like well sorry if we born with shit Quirk, 'evil Quirk', or none at all! We didn't have the choice on the matter at all. If I could choose what power I born with, I'd choose the power to turn anything I touch into gold"

The greenette raised an eyebrow "like king Midas? You know he died of starvation when he turned all of his food into gold, right?"

Parker smirked "I don't mind, that's the manliest way to go. Imagine, you rich as hell to the point you can't eat" the brunette points his chopstick to the air "now that's a king's life!"

The teen chuckled a bit "you're a weird guy, but yeah you're right... people start their judgments with Quirk. It's a shame to be honest"

Parker shook his head "it's not surprising, the pattern was there since ages ago; different people, bad" he then turns to the greenette, small smile on his lips "at least not all of them like that, gotta see the silver lining dude"

"Yeah" the greenette agreed, small smile on his face then he finally eat his ramen "I guess you speak from experience"

"yep, my Quirk allows me to see well and people starts to point me as a pervert!" he exclaimed, incredulous" what I'm supposed to do? Go to school blindfolded? That's just bullshit!"

"What your Quirk actually do?" the teen asked with interest

"uh-uh-uh, not gonna talk about it" Parker then grins "tell you what, you can either pay me 100 yen or wait until we meet again, then I'll tell. How's that sound?"

The green haired teenager then sighs "it's all money to you, isn't?"

"Call it Business, my dude." He shook his head "if you have information, sell them"

"That didn't sound heroic at all" the teen sweat dropped

"That's why I called it business, not heroism" Parker smiles, he then finished his bowl "did you realized that you stopped stuttering?"

The teen's eyes widen and turns to his bowl that was already half-empty, he smile softly "I didn't, I guess I needed that... sharing my problem, I mean" he slurp down his noodle "I've been buried that for years now, it felt a little bit better after I let it all out" he then turns to Parker "so, thank you"

Parker nodded, they spent the next hour talking about other things. When the clock hits 8pm they bid each other goodbye, Parker then realized that he didn't even ask his name. But that was okay, because he has a strong hunch that he'll meet him again. He missed the fact that in the corner of his vision there's 'Leveled up to Level: 10' written on them.
