Prologue
In 1954, a titanic creature rose up after eons of slumber, awakened by the abuse of nuclear power. Godzilla, the king of monsters, wreaked havoc upon the streets of Tokyo; the entire city was transformed into a sea of fire. Less than a decade after the end of the Second World War and in the middle of the post-war economic miracle, Tokyo was once again the scene of death and mass destruction. Mankind was powerless and could only stand and watch as Godzilla vented its rage. However, a mysterious scientist was sought after upon discovery that he was developing a potentially more dangerous weapon. The beast was finally slayed, though at the cost of the scientist's life himself along with his research so no one could ever replicate such deadly power. A few months after the attack, Tokyo undertook a massive program of reconstruction and the country slowly started to return to normality. However, just twenty-five years since the last attack, a new Godzilla specimen appeared and continually menaced Japan over the years...
In the year 2000, the dawn of the 21st century, the new third millennium, during a confrontation with the JSDF in Tokai, Godzilla was attacked by a rather strange entity, a mysterious gigantic flying rock, which blasted him into the ocean with a powerful laser beam fired from a hole on its side. Yuji Shinoda, aided by his former colleague Shiro Miyasaka, analysed some of Godzilla's discarded flesh, and discovered that his cells contained a substance they called Organiser G-1, which allowed his tissue to heal entirely within a matter of hours. They believed this discovery could revolutionise modern medicine and reveal the secret to immortality. Shinoda and Miyasaka also learned that the flying rock from earlier was actually a living spaceship, from beyond the realms of space, whose occupants planned to harness the power of Godzilla's Organiser G-1 in order to adapt to Earth's atmosphere and establish a new alien colony and empire.
Godzilla returned for a rematch with the UFO in Shinjuku, where he was subdued and his Organiser G-1 was forcibly extracted. The collective alien apparition exited the UFO in a combined form, but the Organiser G-1 quickly overwhelmed them, mutating them into the monster known as Orga. Godzilla fought Orga, with his enemy's healing speed exceeding his own and rendering Orga nearly impossible to kill. Godzilla eventually allowed himself to be swallowed headfirst by Orga, who was attempting to engulf and fully assimilate him, only to unleash a powerful atomic shockwave that beheaded and killed Orga. With the alien invasion thwarted, the mighty Godzilla rose triumphant and turned his rage on the rest of Tokyo, setting the city ablaze with his atomic breath...
It wouldn't be a full, whole year before the mighty king of monsters would eventually strike again...
