Ch43: Chivalry
She was led through the upscale restaurant to a table set for two situated beside floor-to-ceiling windows. Taken immediately by the sights, she stepped towards the glass, awestruck by the city lights dotting the skyline far below.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Turning, realization hit that the hostess had left, and she was no longer the only guest at the table. Her midnight stranger – the tall, dark and handsome – was standing behind her, chair already pulled out with a star-studded grin and inviting eyes.
So this is how he looks in proper lighting.
Lowering onto the proffered seat, she returned the smile.
