"Such a pretty name, but it doesn't quite do you justice," he gave a sideway smirk, glimpses of the candle light flickering within his eyes to ignite a predatory heat.

"Oh?" she drawled, brow arching coyly, amusement playing at her red-stained lips. "Tell me, Bankotsu, what would do me justice?"

His knuckles trailed delicately along petal-soft skin, her forearm within such easy reach, tempting him all night to just pull her across the table. But rash impulses were stayed, biding time.

"A rose," his voice dropped to an alluring cadence, gaze beguiling, "by any other name would smell as sweet."
