Chaos spread throughout Japan. The fight against The Meta Liberation Army, or more specifically, Tomura Shigaraki, left the country in ruins. Buildings were on the verge of collapse. Dangerous, murderous criminals roamed the streets. Angered civilians lost their trust in heroes. And the said heroes who were supposed to step up?

Gone.

Discouraged, heroes began putting away costumes and hanging up capes, losing faith in society and themselves. It was a terrible time to live in Japan.

But that's why he was here.

Izuku Midoriya, bearer of One For All, was the only one who could end All For One's reign of terror on Japan. All of Izuku's training and the faith All Might put in him would lead to this moment. All For One could send as many assassins after Izuku as he liked. The everlasting battle between One For All and All For One would end with Izuku victorious, even if it killed him.

In an abandoned Art Museum, Izuku stood on top of a would-be assassin, his dark green bunny-esque mask and hero costume in shreds. A black tendril released from Izuku's finger, grasping the killer, as he looked down on him darkly. Truly unfortunate. Another misguided soul. Izuku couldn't imagine the hardships they've faced because of hero society. But, unfortunately, putting the man in the right direction wasn't an option, less he meets All For One's wrath. The best he could do was make up for it by leading Izuku to All For One, but he had very little information to give. He'd hate to leave the man like this…

But he had a job to do.

"Young Midoriya…" Izuku's mentor and predecessor, All Might, breathed.

Izuku dashed out of the museum. "He had no extra information. He might also be rigged to explode, so be careful!"

"WAIT!"

Izuku stopped, not even turning to face All Might.

All Might directed a bento toward his protege. "You haven't eaten at all!"

"All Might…" The man who single-handedly brought an era of peace. Izuku made every single waking decision in hopes of catching up to the man he's looked up to since he was four. He modeled his ideals, costume, and even his smile after the former number one hero, all in hopes of mimicking even a fraction of his mentor's heroism. Even in his frail, weak state, All Might was still looking after him. If Izuku truly wanted to be like his mentor.

He had to make a tough decision.

Izuku walked off, still not looking at All Might. "You don't have to follow me around anymore. I'm fine on my own now."

The words of both his greatest ally and biggest enemy rang through his head.

You're next

All of it was up to Izuku. He couldn't afford to stop. There was too much at stake. All For One… Shigaraki… He needed to find them as soon as possible. If the people he loved stuck around, all of them would be in jeopardy. Going at this alone was the best option.

"Don't say that…." Said All Might

"I can do it already! I can move at 100% without sustaining any damage, just like you could! So…" Nana Shimura pleading to stop Shigiraki at all cost, Gran Torino passing on his cape, Shigiraki's mental torment, but most importantly….

I want you to show the world that you're here!

All of these memories ran through Izuku's head, further reminding him of his goal. The world has already lost so much, Izuku couldn't sit back and do nothing when he should be doing everything. So it was with a heavy heart that Izuku told all Might. "...Don't worry about me."

"Wait!"

But it was too late. Using Nana Shimura's quirk, float, Izuku took off into the sky, leaving behind his mentor, who tripped, trying to reach for him, dropping the bento and its content on the ground. All Might fell to his knees, the heavy burden of guilt and shame keeping him on the ground as he mourned the loss of his successor.

Izuku flew through the air, ignoring his guilt. Going solo was the right thing to do after all. There was too much at risk for Izuku to stick around others for too long. All Might, his Mother, his classmates, Izuku didn't want to put any of them in danger. So for the sake of peace, Izuku swallowed his sadness and kept moving forward.

Unbeknownst to them, a figure watched in the shadows, his plans for our hero unknown.

A hoard of villains in the mall slowly stalked innocent civilians like prey—their vicious smiles tearing their way into their victim's heart. The odds of escape are slim or even zero. The bystanders lost all hope for themselves.

Thwip!

Not if Izuku had anything to say about it.

Izuku flew into the scene, propelling himself with Black Whip. His mere appearance was enough to drive the villains off. With that taken care of, Izuku turned to the civilians.

"Are you hurt?"

The young woman stared in horror at Izuku, sweat running down her face. "M-Multiple "quirks…." All For One's subordinate!?"

Did she really think that? "No, of course not!"

"Ahh, Thank God!" Then, all the civilians ran off, away from Izuku. "I'm okay! We're all okay!"

Izuku just stared in bewilderment until Danger Sense rang in his head, then he was off.

All For One… What was that bastard planning? Where the hell was he? Shigaraki… The League of Villains… All of these dastardly villains needed to be stopped. He wouldn't let them lay a finger on anyone. The only way they could would be over his dead body. Izuku needed to master One For All as fast as possible so no one would ever have to live in fear again.

"Mom… Gran Torino… All Might… Mr. Aizawa… Eri… My classmates…"

All the people he cared about. He fought for a better future—a future where everyone can smile again. But, for that to happen, he needed to keep going. He didn't care if God himself told him to stop. Izuku would keep moving forward.

Izuku landed in the central part of Japan, the once-proud standing All Might statue vandalized with discouraging messages. Black tendrils flew from his back like spider legs, and the heavy rain poured on as Izuku looked for danger but came up empty.

Just when Izuku was ready to call it a false alarm, time halted. The strong winds, the rain, everything stopped. Izuku rapidly searched for the danger, wondering why Danger Sense wasn't going off. Then, suddenly, his world became shrouded in darkness. Pitch blackness took over the entire area, and Izuku was left standing alone in the abyss.

"Recklessness born out of impatience…."

Izuku turned to his head to face the elegant voice of the humanoid figure.

The voice continued to speak. "Wishing for solitude on the brink of exhaustion…." The man finally stepped out of the darkness revealing his light brown eyes and grey hair. "Just as I predicted."

Thwip!

The older man gracefully dodged the black tendril, not flinching even an inch. Izuku sped forward and jumped in the air, preparing an overhead kick. But the only thing he came into contact with was a green energy barrier creating a shockwave from the sheer power of the kick.

"I do not wish to fight you, Izuku Midoriya."

Izuku didn't respond. Instead, he opted to activate the 6th user's quirk, Smokescreen, in hopes of having the element of surprise.

Recognizing the tactic, the grey-haired man jumped out of the smoke.

Thwip!

This time the tendril hit him dead-on, and Izuku pulled himself forward, kneeing him in the stomach and bringing him to the ground.

Izuku wrapped the man up with Black Whip and glared at him through his shredded mask. "Get me out of here."

"I only wish to speak with you-"

Izuku tightened his grip. "Get me out of here. Now."

"If you allow me to explain, I'll release you."

Izuku stared at the man for a while. Then, deciding to take the fastest route out, he loosened his grip on the man. "What do you want?"

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy."

Beacon Academy? Was that a hero school? Did he just attack a fellow hero?

"Izuku Midoriya, I fear my world is in grave danger."

"Your world…?

The man took a deep breath. "Izuku, what I am going to tell you will possibly shatter your entire reality. I am well aware that the things I'm going to say will sound absurd, but I need you to bear with me."

"What are you talking about?"

"Izuku, your world isn't the only world."

Like alternate realities? There was no way, right?

"So… the multiverse theory…?"

"Not exactly. There is a gateway between my world and yours. And my world is in danger of meeting a terrible fate."

Izuku once again tightened his grip using Black Whip. "You don't expect me to believe any of this, do you?"

"No, I do not. But believe it or not, it is true. I live in the world of Remnant. It is similar to your world in many ways. Advance technology, heroes in the form of Hunters and Huntresses, and abilities that far exceed what humans were initially capable of."

"Like quirks?"

"In my world, we call them "Semblances." They're abilities that manifest from one's aura that vary from each individual. Similar to your "quirks."

Izuku narrowed his eyes. "And what do you need my help for?"

"Tell me, Izuku. Are you religious?"

Izuku shook his head. "Not particularly."

"Well, our worlds have been around for quite a long time. Many people have created Gods that shape the entirety of their beliefs. But in the world of Remnant, two of them are, in fact, real."

Izuku loosened his grip a bit out of curiosity. "There were once two brothers. The eldest being the God of light. He found joy in creating forces of life. In contrast, the God of Darkness, the younger brother, spent his time creating forces of destruction. As you can imagine, their contrasting ideals often clashed with one another, fighting over who should be the one in control. The elder brother would spend his days creating water, plants, wildlife, practically anything that brought life to Remnant. Meanwhile, the younger brother witnessed this upbringing of life and was disgusted. So he brought droughts, fire, and famine, anything to destroy his brother's creation."

"It's just like One For All and All For One…." Izuku thought.

"But unfortunately for him, the life would always return. So one day, the younger brother created something. Creatures that would share his innate desire for destruction. The creatures of Grimm."

"Like Grimm fairy tales?"

"Precisely, these creatures thrive off of negative emotion. They strike fear into innocents in hopes of bringing destruction wherever they go."

These "Grimm" sounded horrible. He was grateful he didn't have to deal with such a thing, especially at a time like this.

Ozpin continued his story. "The elder brother had finally had enough. Knowing that their feud couldn't last forever, the God of Light proposed that they made one final creation together. Something they could both be proud of. Their masterpiece, so to say. The younger brother agreed. This new creation would be given the power to create and destroy. It would also be given the gift of knowledge to learn about itself and its environment. But most importantly, it would be given the power to choose between the path of light or the path of darkness. And that is how humanity came to be in Remnant."

"What does any of that have to do with me, or why do you need me?"

"I'll get to that eventually. But, back to what I was saying, the wonderful thing about being a human is that we get to choose whatever path we want. We can choose to pursue knowledge. We can choose to create for the betterment of humanity. We can choose to destroy that which we don't like. We can choose. And while these things do exist metaphorically, they also each have their own physical form, left behind by the Gods before they abandoned Remnant. Each one of them is extraordinarily powerful. If someone were to collect them all, they could change the world, for better or worse. Do you remember the Huntsman and Huntsman Academies I was speaking of earlier?"

Izuku nodded his head. "You said Huntsman are like heroes, and the academies are like hero schools, right?"

"Yes, they serve to train generations of Huntsman to become protectors of Remnant. But they also serve another purpose, guarding the relic. When my predecessor founded the schools, they built them around the relics to act as a fortress. So not only would they be easy to defend, but trained warriors would always surround them. The hope was to hide mankind from the relics so they wouldn't use it against themselves."

"I'm still not seeing where I come into all of this."

"Izuku, I fear someone extremely powerful wants to get their hands on these relics. She's already dangerous enough, but if she gets her hands on these relics, my world as we know it will fall into chaos. And I want your help."

"But… If what you said is true, then there are so many other heroes to ask help from. Why me?"

"Because I'm inclined to believe that you can relate to our situation better than most. Fearing the fall of something you fought long and hard to protect, doing everything in your power to make sure the ones you love are safe, you would stop at nothing to see everyone smiling and living in peace. Remnant needs pure souls like yours if we're going to win this fight. So I ask you, Izuku Midoriya." By this point, Izuku fully released his grip on Ozpin, and the man extended his hand out. "Will you help save Remnant?"

Silence spread throughout the entire space. Ozpin patiently waited as Izuku stared at his hand with a solemn look. Finally, Izuku extended his hand and spoke. "I honestly believe every word you've told me. You don't seem like the type to lie about lives being at stake. Your world has gone through so much, and I sincerely want to help."

Ozpin smiled, and Izuku pulled him off the ground.

"But if you truly understand my situation, then you'll know I'll have to decline."

Ozpin's smile faltered.

"You're right. I'll do absolutely anything to protect the people I love. There is too much at stake here for me to help an entirely different world that's not even in immediate danger when mine is on the brink of collapse. I'm sorry, Mr. Ozpin…." Izuku's tired eyes shine with conviction. "But I have to stay here!"

Ozpin sighed and nodded his head. "I understand entirely. But if you truly understand my situation…." Ozpin started spinning his cane at rapid speeds. "Then you'll understand why I have to do this. I truly hope you forgive me."

"No!" Izuku activated One For All at 45%, gathered up his kinetic energy from the last battle, and shot two black tendrils from each hand at Ozpin. The combined momentum from One For All, Fa Jin, and Black Whip was able to create…

"Faux 100% St. Louis Smash!"

Izuku became nothing but a green blur, dashing at unimaginable speeds. Ozpin spun his cane, unflinching, and brought it down to the ground with insane force.

Before Izuku could get to Ozpin, the ground started to glow with green energy, and Izuku's world was met with white from the resulting explosion.

"This will be the day we've waited for! This will be the day we opened up the doors~" Ruby Rose, our red-haired ball of sunshine, was having the time of her life in a convenience store reading a Hunstman comic book. Even as the owner constantly shushed her, Ruby would stay trapped in her own little world. Nothing could bring her out of her good mood.

NNNNNN!

Not even that random flash of bright light. She should still probably check it out.

"Don't worry! I'll check it out." She yelled to the owner. Ruby readied her mechanical scythe, ready for anything.

Well, almost anything.

What was that thing!? It couldn't be a Grimm could it!? Why is it torn to shreds and bloody!? Is it dead!? Ruby pulled out her sycthe and inched her way toward the weird, bloody, dirty, torn-up green humanoid... thing, and tapped it from a safe distance.

Twitch

Ruby squeaked and put herself in a ball "Oh God, don't hurt me!"

...

Oh thank God, it was still dead. Well unmoving at least. She should probably get it out of here. But did she have to touch it? The thing looked like roadkill. It probably was roadkill.

"Wait a minute... That sorta looks like a mask. Could this be a Huntsman?" A semblance might've explained the blast of light, but what about the costume straight out of a horror movie? More importantly, were they okay!? They looked like they haven't seen the light in years!

Ruby took a deep breath and slowly approached the...thing. It hasn't twitched yet. So far, so good. Ruby stood over the body and- JEEZ! This guy needed a bath! Stat! Ruby gagged. Oh, God! She might throw up.

Wait... wait... False alarm. This thing still needed a bath, though. It could also use a good change of clothes.

What was she trying to do again? Right! Pull off the mask. Ruby pinched her nose and slowly reached for the bunny ear's on the costume. She grabbed it and slowly pulled it off the head, revealing a relatively normal green-haired teenager.

Oh, that wasn't so bad! It's just a nice teenage boy who was bloody beyond all hell, bruised up like an overripe banana and smelled like garbage.

...Wait, no that was pretty bad.

*GROAN*

Oh crap! It's waking up! What should she do? What should she do?

Okay, calm down, Ruby. Just focus on getting this guy some help. Or if he was hostile, kick his butt. No biggie. Just relax

Ruby stelled herself and her nose and shook the kid awake, prepared for the worst.

"Hey! Wake up! Are you okay!" said a high-pitched voice.

Izuku slowly opened his eyes and adjusted them to the light. What happened? His foggy memory clouded his thoughts. The best he could remember was him running toward the signal from danger sense and… Wait! Ozpin!

Izuku threw himself off the ground and took in his surroundings. The fairy tale castle-esque buildings, the still-standing shop he's in, the peaceful atmosphere. Wherever the hell he was, it wasn't Japan. That Ozpin guy must've sent him to that world! What'd he call it? Remnant?

Izuku's breath became short and ragged. He gripped his sweaty palms on his head and started shaking like mad. His chest tightened, making it even harder to inhale oxygen.

Damn it! He couldn't do this! Not now! There was so much riding on him! All Might! His classmates! All of Japan! He shouldn't be here trying to babysit some alternate reality! All For One, Shigraki, The League of Villains, all of them are still out there, bringing fear into the hearts of innocent civilians! He needed to find a way out! This was his fight! HIS FIGHT! He had to take down All For One for the peaceful future he dreamt of! That bastard Ozpin needed to solve his own problems! Izuku would find a way back, even if it killed him!

"Hey, hey! It's okay! You're safe!" The red-haired girl reached out to touch his shoulder…

Smack!

Izuku slapped her hand away and jumped into a fighting stance, One For All activated, and black tendrils came out of his back, and almost immediately, he recognized his mistake. He had nearly attacked an innocent bystander. Izuku took another look at the girl and realized she was also in a stance, readying to draw out a weapon. He deactivated both of his quirks and fell flat on his butt, and he once again became short of breath.

The girl's eyes widened, and she dropped to his eye level, gripped his shoulders, and faced him towards her. "It's okay! It's okay! Just look at me! You're gonna be fine!"

He didn't know what was happening, but the girl's piercing silver eyes managed to calm Izuku down. He took long deep breaths to control his breathing. She was right. Even if she didn't know his situation, she was still correct. Everything was going to be okay. Izuku would find a way home to his friends and save them all. He just needed to calm down. Finally, Izuku gathered his wits and whispered to the girl. "I-I'm sorry."

The girl smiled brightly, further bringing him to his senses. "No worries, I'm just glad you're okay!"

Izuku took off his mask and rubbed his temples. "W-what happened?"

"Well, I was just listening to music, reading a super cool comic about Huntsman. Then a bright light came from nowhere, and you just laid out on the floor. I thought you were a Grimm at first, so I was ready to kick your butt, but then I realized that you were a human and got really scared because I thought you were dead, but you were okay! But then you started to panic, then I started panicking, but then I remembered what my dad taught me to do during a panic attack, and I helped you calm down! So yeah… that's what happened."

This girl was… energetic. Not that he minded, he knew people like Mina and Kacchan after all. Mina was always up and about, bringing a smile to everyone's face with her energy, and Kacchan…

Die! Die! DIEE!

…He was Kacchan.

"Can you… tell me where I am?"

"Oh! You're in Patch City at the Kingdom of Vale!"

Yeah, he was definitely not in his world anymore. The girl got up, extended a hand, and helped Izuku off the ground.

"Thank you again."

"No problem! So what's your name?"

"Izuku, Izuku Midoriya."

"Well, Izuku, Ruby Rose at your service!" Ah right, many countries outside of Japan don't even use surnames, much less an entirely different world. He'd have to get used to that.

"So Izuku, I gotta ask. What happened to you?"

Shoot! He doesn't have a cover story. He'd have to feign ignorance for now. "W-what do you mean?"

"Well, you're all uh…." She gestured to his beat-up body. "That."

Damn! He couldn't tell her he was from another world. She'd take it about as well as he took it. But he also couldn't just not give her an answer. Look how worried she looked! And after how nice she was, lying to her just felt wrong. But telling her the truth wouldn't go well either. So he should just dodge the question for now.

"I… don't want to talk about it."

Ruby's silver eyes shined with concern. "Are you sure? You don't need any help?"

Izuku put on his best convincing smile. "I'm fine. Really. There's no need to worry about me."

Ruby wasn't entirely convinced, but if he really didn't want to talk about it, she wouldn't push it. She exaggeratedly wiped her brow. "Phew, that's a relief."

Both teens laughed at Ruby's silliness. Out of all places to be transported, Izuku felt that being sent to this girl wasn't bad.

Zip!

"Danger!" Izuku whipped his head to the right and saw a man wearing a black suit and red sunglasses holding a shakily holding a machete toward them.

"A-Alright, kids. Put your hands where I can see them."

Izuku and Ruby just stared at the man.

"I-I said, hands in the air! You brats got a death wish or something?"

"Izuku? Is this guy trying to rob us?"

"I think so?"

"Yes!"

Jeez, he just got here, and he's already gotten into trouble. Mr. Aizawa was onto something calling him "problem child."

Now, usually, Izuku would stick to the option that involves both parties leaving unharmed. However, the combined burden of saving Japan, taking down All For One, and the stress of this current situation.

Well, let's just say Izuku wasn't in the mood for bullshit.

"SMASH!"

BAM!

The man slammed into the wall on the opposite side of the room and instantly fell unconscious. The men robbing the shop turned to look at the source and found an irritated Izuku. He narrowed his eyes, and his body glowed with green electricity.

"Ruby, can you fight?"

Ruby smirked and pulled out a mechanical scythe (Oh my God, that's so cool!) and expertly twirled it around her body. "Can I?"

"...Well, can yo-"

"Of course I can!"

Izuku smirked. It was time to blow off some steam.

Two more men in identical suits rushed toward them, intent on killing them quickly.

"Izuku, why don't we take this fight outside."

"Agreed!"

Before they even knew it, both men were flying through the window, courtesy of Izuku and Ruby. The robbers stared in bewilderment at the two teens, who took down three of them without breaking a sweat.

"...Okay." The orange-haired leader gestured his head toward the last three of his men, who were all still in disbelief. Then, irritated, the leader said, "Get them."

Not one to disobey orders, the men swallowed the lump in their throats and rushed outside.

Oh man, this was too easy. Izuku dashed to the man in the front and kicked him in the air. "Ruby!"

Using the recoil from the Scythe's heavy-impact sniper rifle (Seriously!) Ruby launched herself into the air and hit the airborne goon with the blunt end of her scythe, knocking him into the other two men on the ground.

The two still conscious goons quickly got up and began shooting at Ruby and Izuku.

Using their speed, they rushed the two men, cleanly dodging the bullets, Izuku kicked one in the head, instantly knocking them out, and Ruby slammed the sharp end of her scythe into the other.

"...They were worth every penny, they truly were." the leader grumbled. "Well, Red, Green, I think we can all agree this has been an eventful evening." He dropped the cigar out of his mouth and stomped it out with his cane. "And as much as I'd love to stick around…." He then lifted his seemingly ordinary cane and revealed a canon on the end of it. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways."

Boom!

"Ruby!" Izuku tackled her to the ground before the cannon could hit either of them. "Are you alright!?"

"Yeah, I'm okay- Wait, where'd he go?" Izuku looked where she had her eyes directed, and sure enough, the man was gone.

"There!" Ruby pointed at a building when a ladder of which the man was climbing.

"We can't let him escape!" Said Izuku.

Izuku activated Black Whip and swung himself onto the roof. Ruby fired her sniper rifle and followed behind him. Once on the top, they saw the man on the edge of the building.

Thwip!

Izuku immediately wrapped a tendril around the man's torso and pulled him toward him and Ruby.

"You're not going anywhere until you've paid for what you've done!" Said Izuku.

"Persistent," The man grumbled.

Fufufufufufufufufufufu!

An airship rose from below, Izuku covered his eyes from the dust the wind blew up. The airship latch opened, revealing a woman in a red dress and high heels. She gathered energy in her palms and released it onto the rooftop.

Boom!

Izuku and Ruby just barely managed to dodge the explosion. Finally, the smoke cleared, and the man was on the ship with the woman.

"Nice going! You almost blew me to bits!" Said the orange-haired man.

The woman rolled her eyes. "Just pilot the ship Torchwick."

The now named Torchwick grumbled and begrudgingly went to the pilot seat.

Thwip!

"No, you don't!" Then, before the ship took off, Izuku latched onto it using Black Whip and planted his feet into the ground.

"Jeez, these brats are annoying!" Torchwick accelerated the ship's speed in an effort to escape. Izuku tensed his muscles and gritted his teeth, fighting to keep the airship from flying away. Seeing her friends struggle, Ruby morphed her scythe into a rifle and began opening firing.

The woman easily deflected the bullets using her powers and shot another fireball at the two teens, this one being faster than the last one.

Kaboom!

Izuku was able to dodge the fireball but let his hold of the ship go in the process. Unfortunately, Ruby wasn't so lucky. Knowing she couldn't avoid it, she placed her scythe on the ground and braced for impact. Torchwick cheered in triumph, finally seeing his opportunity to escape. "Home sweet home, baby!"

Bam!

Torchwick recoiled from the sudden attack. He looked out the window and was met with a new person on the scene. Her creamy-blonde hair was tied in a bun, and her piercing green eyes glared at Torchwick. She extended her wand and launched purple energy blasts at the ship.

Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom!

"Damn huntresses." The huntress glowed purple and released a blast of energy above the ship, transforming into storm clouds. Thunder boomed throughout the area, and the storm cloud grew massive. Finally, it reached its peak and began raining down giant icicles onto the ship. Torchwick just barely dodged one that flew into the pilot's seat.

The woman on the airship seemed calm as ever and launched another fireball at the huntress. In response, the huntress blocked it using a shield glyph she created.

Annoyed, the fire user activated a glyph under the huntress, intent on burning her alive.

Kaboom!

The huntress narrowly backflipped herself out of the way of the explosion. She then encased the debris in purple energy, morphed it into a spear, and launched it at the airship at high speeds.

The fire user's response was destroying the sphere with fire, but each and every time, the huntress reformed it and persisted in her attack. Finally, realizing trying to hit the fire user was futile, the huntress then aimed the spear at the pilot's seat, but Torchwick pivoted the ship just in time to deflect it.

Not one to be deterred, the huntress divided the rubble into three new smaller spears and encircled them around the airship. But her efforts were in vain as the fire user gathered fire around her body and released it into a sphere around her, turning the debris to dust.

"At this rate, we'll never catch them!" He needed to end this, and he knew just what to do. This would be the third time today that he's used this, and he would need a nap after this for sure, but if it was enough to catch them, that would be alright with him.

Izuku memorized where the latch to the airship was then enacted his plan. Thick white smoke grew through the rooftop, blinding the fire user and Torchwick vision of their opponents. Izuku rapidly jumped up and down, gathering up kinetic energy. With each jump, the power within him grew, and after enough, he finally had enough strength.

He was ready.

Thwip!

Izuku latched onto the airship and ran back to gain some distance. After getting enough space, he jumped, breaking the very ground he stood on and propelled himself using Black Whip.

"Faux 100% Smash!"

Izuku, now a green blur, crashed into the woman on the airship and slammed her against the wall. He then wrapped her up using Black Whip.

"It's over!" Izuku said.

"Oh, is it now? I'd beg to differ."

Boom!

The fire user glowed a fiery orange and exploded, ejecting Izuku out of the airship. The huntress managed to catch him before he hit the ground.

Realizing this was their chance, Torchwick took off, not even bothering to cheer.

"No! I can't let them get away!" Izuku prepared himself to jump after them, but the huntress stuck her arm out, signaling him to halt.

"I think you've done quite enough, young man."

"...Um, this might not be the best time to ask, but." Ruby's eyes shined with wonder. "Can I have your autograph!?"

"I hope that both of you know that your actions will not be taken lightly. You put both yourselves and others in grave danger." Said the huntress.

"But they started it!"

"With all due respect, I have to agree with Ruby. I couldn't just let them rob that poor man." Said Izuku.

The huntress sighed. Kids these days, she swore. "If it were up to me, you'd both be sent home with a pat on the back…." Ruby smiled, but from experience, Izuku knew this wasn't what she wanted this to be. "And a slap on the wrist!"

Smack!

"Eep!"

"But, there is someone here who would like to meet you."

Ruby and Izuku turned toward the footsteps down the hallway and…

No way…

Ozpin slowly walked into the room, coffee, and cookies in hand. "We meet again, Izuku Midoriya."

Zoom!

Shatter!

Thud!

Izuku dashed, grabbed the man's collar, and threw him against the wall.

"Send me back right now, Ozpin!"

The huntress threateningly pointed her wand at Izuku. "Release him at once, young man!"

"Stand down, Ms. Goodwitch."

"But sir!"

"It is quite alright. He has every right to be upset."

"Upset! This is all your fault! Because of you, I'm stuck here instead of back home saving my friends!"

"Izuku, I assure you that your friends are going to be fine."

"Fine?" Izuku tightened his grip. "Fine!? Do you think what's happening is okay!? My friends, my entire world is in danger, and I need to save them! I shouldn't even be here!"

"Wait! What's going on!?" Said Ruby.

"Everything is alright, Ms. Rose. Mr. Midoriya here is just blowing off some steam."

"I already blew off all my steam fighting those villains! So now, I'm telling you to send me back home!"

"Izuku, please stop fighting! Can't we just talk this out!?"

"We already did! And he completely broke his promise! He knew how much they needed me, and he still sent me here!"

"Please understand, I would never do what I did unless I was desperate."

"I don't care what you are! Just send me back home and find someone else to take care of your problems."

"Even if I wanted to, I couldn't."

Izuku loosened his grip. "W-what do you mean?"

"I don't have enough energy gathered to send you back home. So for now, you have to stay here."

He was really stuck here? There were so many people counting on him, and he was stuck in some fairy tale land. Because he wasn't there, everyone would fall victim to All For One's reign. He let All Might down. He let his friends down. He let everyone down.

Izuku let go of Ozpin and fought back tears. All he ever did was fail. Mirio should have gotten One For All, not him. Would he be stuck in this situation? No, he wouldn't! It would have never gotten this far in the first place. Izuku just barely stopped a child abuser, and now the fate of two worlds rested on his shoulders?

Ms. Goodwitch gently rested her hand on his shoulder as angry tears spilled from Izuku's eyes.

"Izuku…." Ruby whispered.

Ozpin lowered his head in shame. "I'm truly sorry for what I did. I did everything in my power to make sure it would not come to this, but I was left with no choice. But take solace in the fact that I could do one thing to prevent the situation of your home from being any worse."

Izuku looked up at Ozpin. "W-what did you do?"

"When I released that explosion, not only did I send you here, I also stopped the flow of time in your world. While I could not fix it entirely, I made sure your burden would be no heavier. Once again, I send my humblest apologies to you and your people."

Did he… Did he really? His loved ones weren't in danger? Izuku smiled just a tiny bit. That was one less thing to worry about….

"W-what do you mean "his world?"

But if it wasn't one thing, it was always another.

"It is none of your concern Ms. Rose."

"If it concerns Izuku, then it concerns me. I know we just met, and I don't know him all that well, but he's my friend. So I want to help."

Friend…? Should he tell her? They did fight together, and they made a pretty good team if you asked Izuku. But as she said, they just met. He still didn't know if he could trust her yet. But she didn't exactly give him a reason not to…

"I'm sorry, Ms. Rose, but it is not my place to tell you."

"It's okay, Mr. Ozpin. I'll tell her."

"Mr. Midoriya, are you sure you wish to inform Ms. Rose of your predicament?"

Izuku took a deep breath and nodded. If Izuku was going to get through this, he would need someone with knowledge of this world. Ruby was his best option. No offense to Ozpin, but Izuku wasn't willing to follow around the man that caused this to begin with.

"I don't know you all that well either, Ruby. But I'm willing to trust you. I know what we're going to tell you doesn't sound believable, but please trust us."

Ruby nodded.

"Ruby, I'm not from Remnant. I'm from an entirely different world."

"...Huh!? Like an alien?"

"Not exactly… Have you ever heard of the multiverse?"

"Multiverse?"

"They're like alternate realities. I'm from an entirely different world. I live in a superhuman society where most of the population has an uncanny ability called a quirk. It's sort of like a semblance. We also have something similar to Huntsman. My world calls them Heroes, and they use their quirks to protect the world from evil. Before I came here, I was in a terrible war against villains who wanted nothing but destruction. They destroyed so much. My society is on the brink of collapse. That's why I need to get back as soon as possible! I'm the only one who can stop the villains from wreaking havoc and taking over my world!"

Ruby stared in astonishment at Izuku's explanation. Of course! It all added up now! The abrupt appearance, his bloody clothes, his panic attack, Izuku had been fighting in a war! That's absolutely insane. Izuku looked to be about her age, probably a bit older, and he fought for the lives of others in a bloody battle for the ages…?

"He's so cool!" Yeah, it may have been a horrible time to be gushing at her friend's awesomeness, but she couldn't help it! He was just like those heroes in her storybooks! With his romantic sense of justice, he fights not for himself but for the sake of others! So awesome!

But wait, he said that his world was on the brink of collapse!? Did they lose!? He needed to get back as soon as possible! "Well then, what are we waiting for!?"

"As I said, Ms. Rose, that is currently not possible. I don't have nearly enough energy gathered." Said Mr. Ozpin.

"Well, when you do send him back, send me to! I want to help!"

"Absolutely not! Even if I considered that option, I wouldn't be able to bring you back." Said Ozpin

"But he can't do this alone! He needs help!"

"Thank you, Ruby, but I'm fine," Izuku said.

"No, you're not. Look at you. You're bloody. You're tired. You can't do this on your own!"

"It's not a matter of whether or not I can! I have to!"

"But you said you said you have friends, right!? So why can't they help you!?"

"Because they'd all be in danger! This is my burden! They wouldn't be able to keep up! I'm the only one with the power to stop All For One!"

Ruby flinched back from Izuku's outburst. He must've realized what he'd done and ducked his head in shame. "I'm sorry, Ruby."

Ruby's eyes softened. "It's okay. Look, I don't know who this "All For One" guy is or why you think you're the only one with the power to stop him. But if you're this worried about your friends, I can only imagine how worried they are about you. You aren't alone in this. You have all the people who care about you, and even if you don't right now…." Ruby offered Izuku a sincere smile. "You have me. I'll help you find a way back as soon as possible. You can count on me!"

Izuku stared before he shook his head and smiled. "Thank you, Ruby!"

"Well, you two certainly get along well. So I have a proposition for you both."

"Proposition?"

Ozpin pulled out a scroll and showed the security footage of Izuku and Ruby fighting goons. "Now, Mr. Midoriya, I understand, but where did you learn to fight like…." Ozpin gestured toward the screen. "This?"

Ruby smiled nervously. "S-signal academy."

"You mean to tell me that they taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?"

"Well, one teacher in particular." Ruby corrected.

"I see…. I've only seen other scythe wielder of that skill. He was a dusty old crow."

"Oh, that's my Uncle Qrow! I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. Now I'm all like…." Ruby began striking martial poses. "Wooooo! Cha! Hiya!"

Izuku did his best to hold back his laughter. He let out a few snickers here and there, of course. Ruby's silliness was just too much.

"So I've noticed." Said Ozpin. "So tell me. What is an adorable girl such as yourself doing in a school designed to train warriors?"

"Simple. I want to be a huntress."

"You want to slay monsters?"

"Well, yeah. I only have two years left of training at Signal,?and then I'm going to apply to Beacon. You see, my sister has always been a thrill-seeker, so she's applying this year to become a Huntress. I'm training to become a huntress because I want to help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, "oh well, might as well make a career out of it." I mean, Police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic, exciting, cool, and just-Ahhh! Y'know!?"

Ruby's dream… It sounded almost identical to Izuku's initial reasons for wanting to be a hero. The thought of saving everyone with a fearless smile on his face…. Izuku missed those days. Happy days, where he could sit back and fantasize about his romanticized version of heroism. Now though, devastation made up every waking street. He couldn't go a single day without dealing with angry civilians or fighting blood-thirsty villains. Don't get him wrong. Izuku would never regret accepting One For All and becoming a hero. But, his initial romanticized black-and-white view of the world has been completely shattered by grueling reality. Izuku was sure it would be the same here, and he hoped Ruby wouldn't learn it the hard way.

While Izuku thought of his current situation, Ozpin and Goodwitch took in Ruby's ramblings. Goodwitch looked unimpressed, but Ozpin looked on with curiosity. "Tell me, Ms. Rose, do you know who I am?"

"You're professor Ozpin. The Headmaster at Beacon."

"Well, hello."

"Nice to meet you!"

Ozpin then gave Ruby a look of the utmost seriousness. "You want to come to my school?"

Ruby shot Ozpin a determined look. "More than anything."

Ozpin looked to Goodwitch, and she rolled her eyes. "Okay then. Going forward, both you and Izuku are going to be enrolled at Beacon Academy."

"...eh!"

"Oh, I can't believe it! My sister is going to Beacon with me, and she's got a boyfriend! I'm so proud of you!"

Ruby and Izuku were currently on an airship flying to Beacon Academy. Ruby's sister, Yang, hugged her time while giving her congratulations.

"Okay, Yang, first of, Izuku is not my boyfriend. Second, please stop. It was nothing."

"What are you talking about? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is gonna think you're the Bee's Knees!"

"That's the problem, sis. I don't want to be the Bee's Knees. I don't want to be any sort of knees. I just wanna be a normal girl with normal knees."

"Ruby, what's with you! Aren't you excited?"

"Of course I'm excited! It's just…." Ruby hung her head low. "I got moved ahead two years. I don't want anyone to think I'm special or anything."

Yang gave her sister a should hug. "But you are special. And your friend got in to, didn't he?"

"Yeah, but… He's been through so much already. So it's only natural they let him in."

Yang frowned a bit. Their conversation was cut short by a news report on the airship.

"...The robbery was led by nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you, Lisa."

The newscast switch over to a woman with short lavender hair and yellow eyes. "Thank you, Cyril. In other news, this Saturday's Faunus Civil Rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful organization has now disrupted-"

Before the woman could finish, the screen shut off and was replaced with a hologram of Ms. Goodwitch.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon."

"Who's that?" Said Yang.

As if answering her question, Goodwitch said. "My name is Glynda Goodwitch."

"Oh, neat!"

Goodwitch continued. "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."

Goodwitch's hologram faded, leaving behind a window with the perfect view of the outside.

"Wow!" Gasped Ruby. She ran over to the window and looked at the view. Ruby could see every building from her place in the sky. She could even see her old school!

"I guess home isn't too far after all." Said Ruby.

Yang smiled softly. "Beacons, our home now."

Ruby smiled and turned her head. Her eyes met a now clean Izuku with his back leaned against the wall daunting his now repaired and hero costume. He looked completely uninterested in the beautiful view.

"Well, I guess the view isn't for everybody." Joked Yang.

Ruby shrugged Yang off her shoulder and made her way to Izuku. "I'm going to go talk to him."

"You're finally gonna make a move?"

"Not my boyfriend."

Ruby shook Izuku's shoulder. He recoiled a bit and slowly looked up at her. "Hey." Said Ruby

Izuku faced the other way. "Hey."

Ruby smiled awkwardly. "So… Are you nervous about Beacon? I sure am!"

Izuku shrugged. "A little. But then again, that could just be stress."

Ruby lost her smile looked at Izuku, concerned. "Are you okay?"

Izuku closed his eyes and sighed. "Not really, Ruby. It's been… hard adjusting to all of this. I know none of them are in any danger, but I'm having such a hard time staying here knowing they all need me."

"I understand. I really do wish I could help. But look on the bright side! You still have me!"

Izuku let out a small smile. "Yeah… I do. So what's bothering you?"

"Huh?"

"I saw you talking with your sister. You looked… sad."

Ruby sighed. "I'm not sad, just nervous."

"I know how you feel. Going to the school of your dreams isn't something you could easily come to grips with."

Ruby groaned. "It's not just that. I came here two years early. So everybody is gonna think that I think that I'm better than them. But I don't. I'm not special."

"But… you are special."

Ruby slumped her back against the wall and slid to the ground. "Ugh! Not you too! I don't want to be special. I just want to be a girl with normal knees!" Ruby said.

"What?"

"Nothing! I'm not special okay!"

Izuku stared at nothing for a couple of seconds before he spoke. "Ruby, if there is one thing I learned back home, it's that not all men are created equal."

Ruby looked up at Izuku. "What do you mean?"

"Some are born with more power or talent than others, and it's their right to use those gifts as they see fit. Some use it for wealth and fame. Others use it to bring destruction. There are some who use it to bring peace. But there are always the unfortunate few who don't use their gifts at all and ignore them. In the end, they always end up regretting it." Izuku's green eyes pierced Ruby's silver ones. "Ruby, you've been blessed with so much talent. Pretending you don't have it isn't going to get you anywhere. Who cares about what other people think? Just don't lose sight of your dream, and you'll become an amazing huntress in no time! I guarantee it!"

Ruby stared before she snickered and then broke out into full-on laughter. "When'd you become such a philosopher? You sound like my Uncle Qrow!"

Izuku blushed in embarrassment. "J-just go with it, alright!"

Ruby wiped the tears she got from laughing. "Okay, okay! But seriously, thanks, Izuku. That meant a lot to me."

Izuku smiled. "It's no problem, Ruby."

The airship was closing in on Beacon Academy. In just a few minutes, they'd both be walking on campus toward their future.

"I wonder what kind of people we'll meet at Beacon. I just hope they brood less than you do."

Izuku turned red. "I wasn't brooding!"

"You were totally brooding."

"I swear I wasn't!"

"Were too!"

"Was not!"

"Were too!"

Yang watched her sister bicker with the green-haired boy and smiled. She was in good hands.

Author's notes: If you've made it this far, then thank you very much for reading my MHA X RWBY Crossover story. I've wanted to make something like this for a while now, so I decided to give it a try. Overall I'm pretty pleased with myself, but I still felt the action scene was a bit messy. So if there were any concerns or anything that you didn't like, don't be afraid to leave a review. All insight is good insight for me. Until next time!

Edit: I added in an additional scene and retconned some other stuff.
