Prologue.
He was standing on a cliff, overlooking the forest under him, indifferent gaze locking to the million, billions of green leaves.
He swiped off the blood on his face, sitting on the cliff while his legs hanging in the air.
He sweeps his hair that blocked his vision, placing both his hands behind him to support him.
He sighed tiredly, paying his attention to the sun that was setting on the West.
His hand enter the pouch he always carries with him, searching for some leftover food he brought with him this morning.
He found some fried meat inside the fabric, and he put it inside his dried mouth.
"Argh... these months are quite painful."
He chuckled wryly.
"You goddamn NEET! Just choose the weapon already! It's been 3 hours!"
"It's only been 20 minutes... I think."
"Bah! Just choose already! I have many other NEETs I have to take care of, you know! The ones who I guide is not only you!"
"Can you shut up for one second? I'm trying to focus here!"
...
...
...
"THAT'S IT! YOU ARE WASTING MY PATIENCE YOU STUPID MORTAL!"
"Huh? But it has been only, like, 22 minutes!"
"I don't give a damn! I already warned you to choose the weapon quickly, but you won't listen!"
"Hey! I thought you said this world was supposed to be a game-like world! If that so, I can choose the weapon as long as I want! Why are you so mad anyway?"
"I don't care! Now, BEGONE!"
"WHA-?!""
He softly caress the hilt of his two friends, a short sword and a katana.
A short sword he picked off from his dead former party member and a katana he bought from a shady looking guy.
He inspects these two weapons, checking if the condition was appropriate for him to brought with him for battling monsters or not.
A brief moment, and he sighed in relief, there's no need for him to repair them.
It costs plentiful just to repair these normal weapons, considering he was still a beginner, a normal weapon was considered precious.
But he's already at level 24, so these weapons lost their preciousness to him.
"Oh well, at least I could still use these."
He put them back, standing up and notices that it's already pretty dark.
He ripped a branch from a tree and muttered something, surprisingly, a flick of fire appears on the tip of his index finger and ignited the branch, turning it into a torch.
He grasps the torch and walk through the darkness, because he constantly coming to this place, he already memorizes the path to go back, so he wasn't worried about being lost.
He placed his other hand near the sheath of the katana, caution is the best saver after all.
He looks up, and saw the moon shining brightly, like a light that guided him in the infinite darkness.
"...A light..."
He muttered wistfully.
"UNBELIEVABLE! She was the one who brought me there! And she treated me with nothing but disrespect! And now, she didn't even give me anything at all because I was 'too slow' as she transported me to a new fucking world,
A NEW WORLD! NOT A NEW HOUSE, NOT A NEW SCHOOL, NOR IT IS A NEW CITY.
IT'S A FUCKING NEW WORLD!
MY FUCKING HOPE WAS CRUSHED!"
He screamed out in frustration in the middle of the beginner town, Axel.
The people around him look at him like he was crazy.
It brought him out of his frustration.
He blushed in embarrassment.
'What am I supposed to do now...?'
He is alone, with nothing but his tracksuit in this brand new world.
With no money.
No power.
No weapons.
With nothing.
He's completely helpless.
What he was supposed to do now?
He is still a NEET, a shut-in, he doesn't brave enough to out of nowhere interacting with people here.
He has no acquaintances, no relatives.
He just turned 16 a week ago.
He is nothing but a new 16 years old who was supposed to go to a high school...
What he was supposed to do now?
He arrives at the gate of the beginner's town, named Axel, he saw some guards patrolling and strolling around.
"Hey, you, what are you doing out here this late?"
"Ah, I apologize, I'm an adventurer who just came back from a hunt."
"Hmm, show me your card."
There's a thing called 'Adventurer card' with a cliche function, name, level, typical.
He secretly snorted, and brings out his adventurer card to show it to the guard.
The guard exclaimed in surprise "L-Level 24? I-I apologize for intruding your peace, sir!-"
He's not that old!
"-Please!"
The guard gestured the opened gate to him respectfully.
He only nodded, walking into the town silently, it's really late right now, many stars are shining gaily in the sky, he could see some couples on the benches holding hands while stargazing, as if the world was theirs.
He shook his head, ignoring his surrounding and focusing on his destination.
Finally, after a few minutes that feel like years, he finally arrived at the inn he always slept in, its price is not bad and the facilities aren't shit either.
He gets in, and a familiar waitress greets him.
"Welcome!"
He couldn't help but respect those workers who work like this waitress, even though it's already late and only silent accompany them, they still work without any complaint and kept their brightest face for their customer.
Truly, an admirable staff, unlike a certain goddess.
He 'Tsk'-ed silently at the goddess, because of her he ends up like this.
"Can I rent a room?"
The waitress was familiar with him, so she knew what he means and which room he wanted.
"Yep, here's the key, thank you!"
He grasps the key that made from silver from the waitress hand and walks to the booked room.
There are 4 tiers in this inn, which was represented by the key colours.
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Black.
He opened the door and closed it, throwing his pouch onto the table beside the bed and he throws himself onto the bed without changing his clothes.
He could not concern himself to do so.
He was too tired.
He fell into a dreamless sleep.
Just filling the AN, don't mind me.
