Looking back, I remember that the room where I was to first learn of my long journey was circular, having a certain flow to it. Just standing still made me dizzy. This room was crimson, and had soft looking cushions placed on random areas on the floor. These morbid pillows reminded me of large drops of blood from a bleeding wound on the ceiling. Incense wafted through the air, making my head swim. And in the very center of this sickly dorm was a small black covered table with two chairs. One was empty, preserved for myself. The other was occupied by the most mysteriously beautiful woman I had ever lain eyes on. She was slightly shorter than myself with pale moon skin and a cloak of hair that resembled a starless night. She wore a purple dress that wrapped around her body from her breasts down. Her eyes were grey with a flicker of blue. They were what made her truly enchanting. Her eyes flashed towards me, capturing me in her mesmerizing gaze as a smile danced upon her scarlet lips.

She flipped through her tarot cards as she nodded towards the empty seat opposite her. "Sit, and we shall begin." When she said this, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I slid into my chair, feeling as if I were awaiting a death sentence. Before we began, she looked into my eyes once more.

"Dear child, what are you afraid of?" Her sweet tone made me relax somewhat.

"I've never done this before. I was never sure I believed in it. But, with everything going on in my life right now, and with everything I've been told about my destiny, I need to know which tale is true. I'm desperate."

"I do not know what others have told you, but I can tell you this much, even without my cards: You have a difficult road before you, and will be led astray many times, as is everyone in this Journey, before you reach the full potential of your destiny." She studied me with a hard gaze before she continued. "Your struggles will include death, murder, love, and, believe it or not, magic. That is the road to your destiny."

I gravely looked into her wise eyes. "But what is my destiny?"

Looking at the scars on my hands, she touched them gently. She then looked at the echos of old wounds that blistered my face, as if she were investigating each and every one. With a distressed sigh, she stated, "You have already been through so much for being only thirteen years of age, and you have yet to walk on the most difficult paths. The answer you seek can only be sought out and discovered by you, and you alone. I, with all of my gifts and wisdom could not answer you."
