Episode 13: Hellish 6
One afternoon in Imp City, Blitz, Loona, Amara, and Roy are technically on their own today. Blitz is driving in the van as Amara is in charge of the navigation on her Hellphone and Roy is asleep. Loona is simply typing with her board, playing some kind of game. The reason why they're on their own cause Moxxie has been taking care of Millie since the incident at the Harvest Moon Festival.
Blitz turns to Amara, "So kid, are we almost there or what?"
"We're almost there. We just need to turn left at the next light, and then we turn to our right. It should be on the right," Amara answers.
"Yeah. Well the sooner we get this day over the sooner I won't have to worry about it," Blitz says, sounding annoyed.
"You know, you could have just told Stolas no about it," Amara says.
"I know, but it's all for the money," Blitz says.
Amara remarks, "Yeah right. Stolas practically bribed you to come along."
"She's right you know," Loona says.
Blitz rolls his eyes and says, "Don't remind me."
Flashback: One Hour Ago
Blitz and Loona decided to visit Amara and Roy at their apartment. Mainly because Blitz is bored and has nothing better to do. Loon couldn't have cared less. However, she does like hanging around with Amara, most of the time. Loona is doing stuff with her phone and Amara is reading a book. And Blitz is playing his little horse figures with Roy.
Blitz plays with a pink horse, "Hi Lucky, you sure look fast, but can you beat me in a race."
"Sure I can. I bet I can race to Pentagram City from Imp City and back," Roy says, playing the race.
"We'll see about that Clover nose," Blitz teases with the toy horse.
"I can say the same, Pinky," Roy happily says with a grin.
Before they can have their fun, they hear a ringtone that sounds like screaming in agony. Blitz puts the toy down and takes his Hellphone out of his pocket. He looks at the screen to see who is calling.
He answers and shouts with an annoyed expression, "What?!"
And the one who is calling is Stolas, "Hi Blitzy."
"Hello Stolas, why are you calling this time?" Blitz asks, sounding a bit annoyed.
Over the phone, Stolas says, "I have a proposition for you."
"I already helped cheat on your wife, what else do you want?" Blitz questions.
"It's quite simple actually. I thought it would be nice that my daughter and your daughter could have a little playdate," Stolas says.
"A little playdate?" Blitz says, confused.
"Yes. Your daughter and mine, and us. And make sure Amara and Roy come along," Stolas says.
"Amara and Roy? Why them?" Blitz asks, confused.
"Well, I thought it would be nice to see them, and Octavia is good friends with my daughter. It will be a special playdate for them," Stolas says.
"Yeeeaaahhh no," Blitz says.
But then Stolas says, "And if I add money to the equation?"
"Alright. We'll head over there right away," Blitz says and Blitz hangs up for the phone.
Blitz then announces, "So everyone, so what do you think of getting paid to hang out with someone?"
Flashback Ends:
"I still can't believe we're doing this," Loona says, annoyed.
"It's all for the money, Loonie," Blitz says.
Amamra then whispers to Loona, "And so he can hang out with his boyfriend…"
Loona chuckles at the remark.
And Blitz ends up hearing her, "I heard that!"
Soon enough, Blitz drives the van to their destination. Blitz parks the car and everyone exits the car to see where they're heading. What they see is a rather large building that seems kind of new, and it has many different teenagers of Imps, Hellhounds, and others walking inside. Some even have their parents and kids. There is a sign that reads, 'Hellish 6.'
"Oh, I actually heard about it. It's basically some kind of arcade," Amara says.
"Really?" Rou asks.
"Yeah. I read that it has arcade games, along with a bowling alley, a diner. Apparently it is supposed to have karaoke," Amara says.
"Wow. The place actually looks kind of cool," Roy says.
"I don't know. It doesn't look that interesting," Loona says.
Blitz says, "I have to admit, this is actually a pretty nice place. Stolas has picked a pretty decent place unlike last time."
"You didn't seem upset when we went to Loo Loo Land. Well, until you ended up causing the place to burst into flames," Amara says.
"Yeah. That Robo Rip off is the one who threw me through the tent," Blitz says.
"Hi Blitzy!" A familiar voice says.
Blitz groans and turns around to see Stolas walking over with Octavia. Excluding his top hat and cloak, he's wearing the same clothes from the Harvest Moon Festival.
"Hey Stolas, glad to see you and your Goth daughter made it," Blitz says.
Amara walks over, "Hi Octavia."
"Hi Amara. And Roy," Octavia calmly says.
Then Blitz introduces Loona, "Great, and this is my daughter, Loona."
"Only on paper," Loona says.
"Come on Loona, don't be like that," Amara replies.
Loona rolls her eyes in reply.
Roy turns to Loona and asks, "Maybe you'll feel better if I call you big sis, too."
"Nah, you already got one big sister," Loona says.
"I suppose," Roy says.
He turns to Amara and asks, "Hey sis, can I ride on your shoulders?"
"Sure," Amara says.
Amara then picks Roy up and places him on her shoulders.
Octavia laughs a bit and says, "You know, it's actually kind of sweet. You're really nice to your little brother."
"Thanks," Amara says.
"Now then, how about we go in and have some fun," Stolas says, eagerly.
"Yeah. Yeah," Blitz says.
Then takes Blitz's hand and walks over to the entrance.
Octava sighs, "Can they make it more obvious?"
"You can say that again. I think Stolas decided to invite us just so he can flirt with Blitz," Amara says.
"No kidding," Loona says with a chuckle.
And Roy begins laughing.
"Come on, let's go before those two have a make out session," Amara says.
Soon, they follow the adults to the arcade building so they can have some fun. They walk inside the building to see the place has many different arcade games, only a lot of them do seem like old fashion crane games, arcade games, shooting games, and such. On the right side, there is a bowling alley that has at least ten to twelve bowling alleys, and on the left is the diner. There's a staircase that has the sign 'Karaoke' with an arrow pointing up.
"Huh. This place actually looks okay," Loona says.
"So, what do you think we should do first?" Amara asks.
"Well, I'm up for playing a little bowling if that's alright with you," Blitz says.
And soon enough, the group are at the bowling alley of the building.
Sometime later, at the bowling alley, the bowling ball rolls at top speed and knocks all the pins down. The one who has thrown the ball is Amara. Everyone cheers for her.
Octavia walks to Amara and says, "Wow, Amara, you got another strike."
"That makes three in a row, or a Turkey is what everyone calls it," Amara says.
Then calls out in a remark, "In your face, Blitz!"
"Oh we'll see about that cowgirl," Blitz says, walking over to the aisle for his turn.
He picks up the bowling ball as he says, "Watch and learn kiddies. And let the boss show you how it's done."
"Sure Blitz," Amara replies.
Blitz then walks to the alley holding the ball in his hand. Just then, Blitz swings his arm in a circle holding the bowling ball.
"Here comes a cannon ball bowling move!" Blitz says, confidently.
"Uh Blitz, I don't think it's a good idea to…" Roy speaks up.
Before he can answer, Blitz tries to throw the ball, but ends up being carried along with the bowling ball down the alley. Then crashes into the bowling pins making a strike, and ends up hitting his head.
"You okay there, Blitz?!" Amara calls out.
Dizzy, Blitz answers, "I'm fine! Now that is how you throw a cannon bowling ball."
Then one of the pins hit his head.
"Yeah. I don't think that involves launching themselves on the bowling aisle to get bonked on the head with bowling pins," Octaiva says.
After Blitz's little bowling display, Blitz has been placed on the couch thanks to Stolas and being checked for any possible injuries.
"Oh Blitz, you really should be more careful. You could have been hurt," Stolas says, comforting Blitz.
Blitz groans and says, "I'm fine. I just had a hard hit on the head with the bowling pin."
"I have to agree with Stolas on that one. That incident on that bowling move you called must have really hurt," Amara says.
"Yeah," Roy says.
"Okay, so my bowling move wasn't the best, but I still got a strike from it," Blitz says, but soon feels the pain on his head.
Stolas gets up and says, "I'll go get you something for that sore head of yours."
Then taps Blitz on his forehead, "Don't go anywhere." and walks off.
"Oh brother, can he not flirt in public," Loona says, rolling her eyes.
"Not when Blitz is involved," Amara says.
"Yeah. Seeing how this is going to go, why don't you kids go have some fun. I'll stay here and rest my head," Blitz says.
"Okay," Amara says.
"Sure," Roy replies.
Amara turns to Octavia and asks, "You wanna come with us?"
"Uh sure," Octaiva says.
"Loona?" Amara replies.
"Eh whatever," Loona says.
Soon the girls and little boy head off together to play at the arcade.
"Have fun kids!" Blitz calls out.
Then feels the pain on his head again.
The girls and little Imp boy walk around to see if there's anything they want to play. Soon, Roy sees one that has his attention. He walks over to see a racing game.
Roy turns to Amara, "Hey sis, can I play this game?"
"Sure," Aamra replies.
Roy sits on the seat of the racing arcade while Loona sits on the other one. They soon begin to play the game. Amara and Octavia walk over to one of the crane machines. Inside of the machine are small size dolls of 'A Thing'. Amara admits that it's actually kind of cute. She inserts the coin in the machine and grabs the controller for the crane. She moves it a bit until it's just right, presses the button and it grabs the toy, just barely. Then it moves to the slot and it falls through.
Amara tkes the toy and says, "That's good for a first try."
Suddenly, someone shouts, "Fuck!"
They turn to see a male Imp has lost the crane game and shouts, "Stupid fuckin piece of junk!"
Then kicks the machine and storms off.
"Looks like he didn't take that well," Octaiva says.
Amara turns to Octavia, "Do you want to play some games?"
Octavia calmly nods her head with a smile. Sometime later, after playing a few games, Amara is now walking toward a shooting game.
"Hmm, this game seems promising," Amara says.
"You gonna play it?" Octavia asks.
Amara smirks, "You know it." and picks up the gun connected to the game system.
She inserts the coin and the game begins to start. The game's screen shows Imp gangsters on the screen with weapons. Amara acts fast and begins to fire at the Imps on the screen. She scores points for giving them head shots. Amara then continues to fire at the game Imps on the screen until all of them are virtually dead. She ends up getting a perfect score on the level. Seeing she needs another coil to play the next round, she inserts the coin and continues playing. Amara continues to fire the fake gun at her target. She then brings out the other gun and fires it at the enemy.
Seeing the scores Amara is getting, Octavia is impressed, "Wow. You're very good, Amara."
"Yeah. My dad taught me everyone I know about using a gun," Amara says.
She continues to fire at the targets like they are nothing. Loona and Roy soon walk over.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Loona asks.
"Amara is playing a shooting game. And, she is already getting some big scores on it," Octavia says.
"That's my big sister," Roy says.
Amara continues to fire at the targets and inserts a coin to get to the next level. Hearing Amara playing the game, many of the Imps and other demons walk over to see Amara hitting big scores. All the demons are impressed and some are even recording it.
"Wow. You're almost as good as Moxxie," Loona says, recording Amara's shooting and score.
"Go sis! Go!" Roy cheers.
Amara continues to fire both guns at the target of the arcade game. Meanwhile, walking into the arcade session, Blitz and Stolas are looking for Roy and the girls.
"Where are they? How hard can it be to look for a Hellhound, two Owls, and a young Imp child?" Blitz asks, looking around.
Stolas looks around to see if he can find them, and soon notices a crowd of demons near one of the games.
"Hmm, I don't remember a crowd there before," Stolas says.
"Something's up," Blitz says.
Stolas and Blitz walk through the crowd to see Loona, Octavia, and Roy watching Amara playing the shooting game.
Blitz walks over and asks, "Alright, what the fuck is going on there?"
"Amara is like totally kicking ass in this game. She already got a million points on it on level ten," Loona says.
"Yeah. She is on a roll," Roy says.
"Fuck. Looks like I got one hell of an assassin if she can shoot like that, don't you think, Stolas," Blitz says with a smirk.
"Um yes. I suppose," Stolas says, simply staring at Amara.
"You supposed. I've seen her in action. She can really fire a gun and stab a slutty bitch. You should have seen the brawl she got herself with those Sinners who attacked her and your daughter. You do not want to make her mad," Blitz says.
"How so?" Stolas asks.
"She practically created some fuckin insane wind powers with feather daggers and sent the Sinners to the other rings of Hell if possible," Blitz says.
"Oh my," Stolas replies with a smile.
"Yeah. you should have seen when those teenagers were trying to pick on her little brother. She's very protective and aggressive when it comes to that kid," Blitz says.
"I can imagine. I remember how attached Amara and Roy are to each other. I find it quite adorable," Stolas says.
Curious, Stolas asks, "So uh, Blitz, can you tell me a bit more about Amara? If you don't mind?"
Confused, Blitz answers, "Uh sure, what do you want to know?"
"How did Amara come to work with you at your business?" Stolas asks.
"Well, to be honest Moxxie and Millie were the one who found her. Before that, she was working as a street performer because she couldn't get a job at first. She proved herself when a client came in and that gave her an opportunity to prove she is good enough. She proved it by shooting the bastard Dr. Creed," Blitz answers.
"And uh, anything else? I did remember you telling me she and her younger brother used to live in the Wrath Ring," Stolas says.
"Okay, why are you curious about Amara all of the sudden?" Blitz asks.
"Nothing in particular. I'm just rather curious about her. It's not everyday you see an Owl Demon like her around," Stolas says.
"That kind of makes sense. I mean, it's a little surprising that her little brother like Roy is an Imp, but when she and her Aunt Eda explained that she was actually adopted by a family of Imps when she was a baby, it kind of clears a few holes in our heads," Blitz says.
"Adopted?" Stolas asks, curiously.
"Yeah. Eda told us about. Apparently, Eda along with her brother and wife, Amara's parents found her in the barn when she was two years old, and they decided to raise her themselves. From what Eda told me, they got really attached to Amara and raised her as their own. Then Roy came into the picture, and as you can see, those two are practically clinging to each other," Blitz says.
Then turns to see Amara has finished the game and everyone in the building is cheering for her. Roy runs over and jumps into Amara's arms. The two siblings hug each other. Loona and Octavia are actually impressed by Amara's shooting display.
"Wow Amara, you got over three million points," Octavia says.
"Have to admit, you're one hell of a shooter," Loona says.
"Thanks. I like to think that. Plus, I do have to keep up with my work, which means a lot of practice," Amara says.
"With that score, I don't think you ended that much practice," Loona comments.
"Say you," Amara says.
Then looks around to notice a large crowd of Imps cheering and clapping their hands.
Octavia chuckles, "Looks like you attracted quite a crowd."
"Yeah. Didn't expect this," Amara says.
Suddenly, they hear Blitz call out, "Hey Loonie! Kids!"
The group turns their heads to see Blitz walking through the crowd.
"Come on, we're going to grab lunch," Blitz says.
The group then have lunch, and after they finish their lunch, the group are about to take their leave as they chat.
Stolas turns to Amara and says, "So Amara, Blitz told me a bit about how you were adopted."
"That's true. My parents and my Aunt Eda found me in the barn and had no clue how I got there. They ended up raising me. I love being with my family, including helping them with the choir and such. I also have great friends and we play a lot back in the Wrath Ring. Aaron Chandra, he's my best friend in the world. And he was very supportive of me," Amara says.
"Chandra, huh? I know the Chandra family quite well. I'm surprised to hear you know their son," Stolas says.
"Know him, I think Amara has a thing for him," Blitz speaks out.
That makes Amara blush like crazy, "What are you talking about, Blitz?"
"I can tell you have feelings for him, why else you accepted his offer to take you out on a date when you're not working and you kissed him on the cheek," Blitz says.
"Blitz!" Amara panics, blushing that her face is about to turn red.
"Oh, so you're the one Aaron was talking about?" Octavia says.
Amara turns to Octavia and asks, "What?"
"Yeah. I remember a year ago, Aaron and his family visited my home one time. Both my and his parents had to discuss a few things, and he kept going on and on about his best friend who is an Owl demon. He must have been talking about you for over an hour," Octavia says.
Amara blushes and lowers her hat to cover her face, "I have no idea he even mentioned me."
"He did. I can tell he really cares about you. A lot," Octavia replies.
Blitz laughs, "I can tell. I'm surprised you two haven't dated yet. Or have you two ever discuss having sex or getting married."
Amara becomes mad and embarrassed that she punches Blitz on the back of his head and he falls down to the ground.
"I guess he shouldn't have said that," Loona says.
Stolas chuckles, "My Amara, you can be a bit violent, but perhaps you shouldn't hurt your boss like that."
"Sorry about that," Amara says.
Blitz groans as he rubs the back of his head, "Fuck, that really hurts you know!"
Amara turns to Stolas, "Still, I really have a good time with you and Octavia. Thank you for inviting us."
Amara then turns to Roy, "Now what do you say to Stolas, Roy?"
"Thank you," Roy says with a smile.
"You're welcome. I am glad to see you and Octavia are getting along so well," Stolas says.
"Dad," Octavia mutters, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"It's okay. I'm glad to get to hang out with you and your dad," Amara says.
She sighs with a smile, "I wonder what my birth father will think."
"Your birth father?" Stolas says, confused.
"Yeah. I guess lately, I've been wondering who my birth family was. My parents were great and they raised me well. Then Roy came along and we still lived as a happy family. But then, the incident happened," Amara says.
"Incident?" Stolas asks.
"Amara… told us about it after our job on the beach. She told Blitz more about her parents' death and decided to share it with the rest of us. It was… shocking to learn the Imps who attacked had an angelic weapon," Loona says.
"Angelic weapon? But… how did an Imp get something like that?" Octavia asks.
"We don't know. They just invaded our home and attacked us. I was injured very badly by that thing. Our dad fought them off while our mom took us to a secret room we know and had us stay there. After the invasion, we found them dead, and Eda found us. She rushed me to the clinic to have my wound treated. Losing our parents hurt more than the wound from the Angelic Gun," Amara says.
"That's awful," Stolas says, shocked.
"It was. Thanks to my Aunt and my friends, I was able to heal through the suffering we had, and Madison and Emily helped Aunt Eda take care of Roy. Trust me, I've been through a lot before and after the incident. And when I decided to move to live in the city, I've kind of learned a few things while living here. And Roy learned when he came to live with us too," Amara explains.
"And we ended up doing good with Amara and Roy around. It also gives someone for Loonie to hang out with," Blitz says.
Loona rolls her eyes, "Whatever."
"And well, after the incident with Mirage and finding more about what happened to my adopted parents. We decided that we'll do what we can to find them and get some answers. And also figure out who my birth family is. I always want to know who my birth family is and maybe I can share my life with them, and learn the life they had," Amara says.
"And I'm sure you'll figure out who your family is someday. Which reminds me," Blitz says.
Then turns to Stolas and asks, "So Stolas, you know of any Owl Couples who's been missing a kid for fifteen years?"
"Um…" Stolas says, reluctant.
Then says, "I uh… well… it depends… Do you have something that can give us a clue."
Octavia turns to her dad, concerned. She can tell her father is reluctant about the subject. And she actually knows why.
Confused, Amara says, "I actually do."
Amara moves her bandana a bit and brings out the gold chain that has her pendant, her precious possession.
"So far, this is the only thing I have when my adopted parents found me and the only clue to my birth family. I know it's not much, but I feel it's worth something," Amara says.
Octavia looks at the pendant, "You know, I actually had a similar pendant when I was little. Of course, I don't wear it much anymore, but I still kept it. My dad gave it to me."
"Sounds cool. I like to see it," Amara says.
Stolas walks over and asks, "May I have a look."
"Sure," Amara answers.
Amara then shows Stolas her pendant. Stolas holds it with his black claw hand as it's still around her neck with a golden chain. Stolas looks at the necklace carefully. Seeing the pendant, and observing it, Stolas is rather shocked, but remains a calm appearance.
He then says, "It is a very nice pendant."
"Thanks," Amara says.
"Yeah. Amara never goes anywhere without her necklace," Roy says.
"I see," Stolas says.
"Well then it looks like we're done for this fun today. I'll drop off the kids and we'll be out of your feathers," Blitz says.
"Actually, if you don't mind, um, I don't mind taking Amara and Roy home," Stolas quickly says.
Blitz and Loona look a bit confused when they hear it.
"Uh, you want to take them home?" Blitz asks.
"Yes. I don't mind it. And I'm sure Amara and Roy don't mind either," Stolas says, and turns to Amara.
Amara says, "I don't mind."
"I don't mind either," Roy says.
"Okay, as long as the kids don't mind, but you better not do anything weird or have them do any of your perverted bird needs, alright," Blitz says.
"You didn't have to tell him that, you know," Amara says.
"Just a bit of security," Blitz says.
Amara thn facepalms her forehead with a groan.
Later in the evening, Amara and Roy are escorted back to the apartment by Solas and Octavia.
"See you next time," Amara says.
"Bye," Octavia says.
After that, Amara and Roy walk into their apartment. After the day they have, they turn in for the night a little early. Later in the night, Roy is already fast asleep, while Amara is reading her book on the bed. Amara then lets out a yawn and decides to head to bed herself. She puts the book down, turns the light off.
She kisses Roy on the forehead and whispers, "Good night."
Then she goes to sleep next to her brother.
Meanwhile, in the Goetia mansion, Stolas isn't able to get any sleep. In fact, there is something going on in his mind. Not just the conversation he has with Blitzo and Amara, but also seeing her pendant. Since he isn't able to sleep, he leaves his bed, puts on his rob, and walks into a room that looks like a study room of some kind. He walks to the desk, opens the draw and takes out a small black box. He then opens the box and takes out what looks like a pendant.
Stolas sadly sighs and says, "Fifteen years of searching, and you ended up working with Blitzy. my little Star Ruby."
The pendant has a golden base pendant with a blue color in the middle with yellow gold moon with shimmering small stars around it, and has a red crimson color gemstone on it. Strangely enough, the pendant looks a lot like Amara's.
