Wrex was quick to search and recover Shepard. Now he works to keep her survival a secret as his people looked for the Normandy. There's just a few problems with that. 1. The alliance wants her and Hackett suspects she's alive. 2. The mass relays and most of the technology-based around them are no longer functioning. 3. Keeping her alive. Where's Vakarian when he needs him?

That alone should have been enough to set off warning bells in her head, but it wasn't until she heard the commander stand and step closer that she realized she was in too deep.

With friends and family at her side, Dr Liara T'Soni travels the galaxy, digging up the long-lost trail of the Protheans. Setting aside her life as an active Spectre, Shepard settles into domestic life (of sorts) to accompany Liara on her journey. Finally, a life full of peace, love and happiness becomes reality… and the long-awaited little blues get to make their appearance.

A retelling of Mass Effect 2 with some structural changes to smooth out the narrative. The Council especially, but also the Illusive Man, the Alliance, and the racial governments make a lot more reasonable decisions. This is a rewrite of a previous effort to write ME2 that flamed out because of the compounding narrative problems from the base game. FShep.
