So I am breaking this down by scenes in the episode and trying to focus mostly on the Rory and Logan interactions. I will start inserting extra details that I imagine lead to the situations in the first place. This one is pretty short.

Episode 06

Title: Norman Mailer, I'm Pregnant

Part 002

Logan decides after being on campus for a few days it's time to stop at the Yale Daily News, especially after the fifth phone call from Mitchum's office asking him what he was assigned for the semester. He knows that if he doesn't get back to his dad soon, he will likely stop by and ask Doyle himself.

Logan tries to tell Christie that he has to get going and she should probably head back to her dorm, but she offers to walk with him to the office. Logan notes how clingy she's being and makes a mental note to end this after one more night, two at most. Maybe if he has Lanny tag along she will get a better impression of how not serious this is.

Logan: Alright this is it.

Logan gives Christie one last kiss before leaving her to go with Lanny and his friend. Okay, definitely two more nights with her, but that's it.

As Logan walks into the newsroom he sees his editor Doyle talking to someone. And over hears their exchange.

"Oh no." Doyle says.

"What?"

"He's back."

Well here we go, back to doing things my dear old dad needs me to do and meeting his expectations. "Well, Doyle my friend.. You're looking very very well. How have you been?" Ugh I can't believe I'm back here.

"I have been great Logan. Great to have you back."

Am I supposed to believe that? Here's to another year of Doyle kissing my ass, hoping that I am going to do what, help him get a job at one of my father's papers? "Yeah, well I stood away as long as I could, but the Yale Daily News, it called to me"

"So how is everything, how's the family?" Oh that's Rory, gosh she seems to be turning up everywhere lately. I wonder if she still hates me today. Or if she has even thought about me.

Logan would never admit it, but he was definitely intrigued by the girl who debated him in the hallway, all to stand up for her friend Marty. Which, in his opinion, he didn't even treat poorly.

"Everything is fine, the family is the family. Ah - my desk, beautiful."

"You know, Logan, I actually didn't know exactly when you'd be back, and I gave out the beats."

"That's fine Doyle. I'll take whatever one you've got left over." It's funny that he thinks I care at all. It's not like I have a choice in what I will do and/or write about once I graduate, so why make a fuss about it.

"Actually, there is none left."

Even better "Perfect, just the one I wanted. Relax Doyle, I'm just here for the pretty picture in my father's head, I'm not going to be any trouble at all." Seriously, I will write whatever random things I need to and I will do it as infrequently as humanly possible, while still keeping my father at bay.

"Ohhh… Logan, please, you? Trouble? Stop. I'm just glad to have you here."

"Careful Doyle, you might hurt yourself. Better get back to work, right boss? Rory? Nice to see you again." Ok, I will start off polite and see how it goes from there.

Doyle scurries over to Rory and whispers to her just out of earshot. The last thing he hears is Doyle say to Rory. "You know Logan? How do you know Logan?"

After some back and forth Doyle shouts over to Meg across the room - "Why am I talking to you? Meg, why am I talking to Gilmore?"

"Um, my story. We were picking a story. "

"Right, well they all sound fine to me."

"I think I'll go with the downloading story."

"Great, go with your gut. Now get to work."

After the final back and forth Rory looks up from her computer across to Logan, and Doyle turns around to face him.

"Hello, City Desk. Smitty here, take this down. I got a hot scoop on a tall blonde, and I gotta put it to bed on the double. *Wink* Oh come on, that's funny. This girl needs to lighten up. Especially if she thinks she is going to be able to handle Doyle the whole year.

Later that week

Logan, Finn, Colin and a few other people along with Stephanie are about to finish up their pregame and head out to an event when Stephanie insists that she needs to go to the bathroom one more time.

"Steph, don't forget your mask, we will meet you out front." Logan tosses her the gorilla mask and she puts it on her face. Yeah that's not going to look suspicious at all.

The guys are out in the SUV waiting for Stephanie when they see her bounding out towards them with arms wide open and the gorilla mask in one hand.

"In Omnia Paratus"

Jesus, how did she get so drunk already. "Shhh."

Stephanie gets in the car and they drive off. Logan looks back and notices someone standing on the stairs, he does a double take and sees it's Rory. I swear this girl is everywhere.
