Demon Slayer AU

(A/N: I own nothing and it was just a little blurb that hit me so I had to write it. Maybe a bit OOC.)
"If you want them to accept your sister, then you shall have to slay all twelve of the Moons." Kagaya said wanting to see how the boy reacted to the impossible task he was given and he was as thrown as everyone else when Tanjiro smiled brightly.
"I'll be back in a few months probably!" Tanjiro said and he waved as he turned and jogged towards the gate but not in the direction of the Butterfly Estate. He would take that challenge and gleefully complete it for his sister.
"Where does he think he's going?" Obanai asked in disbelief as everyone stared after the boy.
"To get himself killed on a most flamboyant but impossible quest it seems." Tengen said staring after the boy as well and wondering if he should direct the boy towards the red light district where his wives were investigating for Moon activity at the moment. Nah the kid would likely blow his wives covers and Tengen didn't want anything to threaten his wives. They were in enough danger right now as it already stood.
"It's a shame." Kagaya said sighing slightly and wondering if the boy was really so arrogant as to believe he would be able to take out the twelve demon moons on his own in just a few months.

Three Months Later
"Sir…I've noticed you haven't reported Tanjiro-san's death yet." Giyu said looking at his boss when the meeting was coming to an end and everyone glanced at him but then looked away, sure that the boy had died and become some demons lunch by now.
"…Amazingly enough Kamado Tanjiro is not dead. He's been reported traveling to different locations that we believed to have had Moon activity but there is no report of his death and his crow still reports him back as being alive." Kagaya said and everyone looked surprised at that. The boy was still alive? And he was traveling to different Moon locations?
He was probably just verifying that the Moons were there and then running away.
"Thanks again for helping me carry everything. You didn't have to." A familiar voice was heard saying nearby and everyone's eyes widened as their heads whipped towards it. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
"You helped us and even saved our lives. Helping you carry these things is the least we can do." A womans voice said and Tengen's eyes went wide before he blurred in place just as a small group of people came around the corner nearby.
"Suma! Makio! Hinatsuru!" Tengen looked relieved and happy to see three of the five people there are he pulled them into hugs, the boxes they were carrying hitting the ground and bursting open.
The other Hashira were surprised to see Lower Moons 1 through 5 fall out of the boxes, as evidenced by the Kanji engraved on their eyes, before they immediately began to burn away in the sunlight.
"Are you three alright? What are you doing here? Are you hurt?" Tengen asked staring at the three shorter women and looking worried as his eyes ticked them over for injuries and was relieved to find none.
"We're fine dear. Our mission is over with so we returned home." Hinatsuru was the one to answer his questions as Suma cried and held him tightly while Makio was scolding Suma for crying so much but had tears in her own eyes and a smile on her face.
"That boy helped us complete our mission and since we were all heading this way anyways we decided to travel with him and we helped him with the boxes containing the demons since he had saved us." Hinatsuru said smiling at Tanjiro who smiled at her from where he was balancing three boxes in his arms while his sister, much to the Hashira and Kagaya's shock and disbelief, was standing beside him holding four boxes in her arms with ease.
"He saved you? He didn't try anything?" Tengen asked and Hinatsuru smiled at him as she leaned up to kiss his cheek while Makio grabbed Tanjiro into a hug and grinned widely.
"Yeah he was pretty bad ass too! One minute he was using Water breathing the next there was fire but it wasn't like the Flame breathing we saw before. And when those idiot bandits tried to force us into going with them he scared them all off with only a smile and a few words." Makio said laughing slightly and Tanjiro blushed embarrassed as he gently set down the boxes with Nezuko setting hers down next to his stack.
"And he was really polite too! A perfect gentleman! Didn't so much as glance at us inappropriately! He's adorable Uzui and so is Nezu-chan! Think we can keep them? We were going to start trying for kids soon after all!" Suma said smiling brightly as well as she latched onto Nezuko, the girl happily cuddling her back in her small form and the Hashira were alarmed at the bamboo gag being gone but Nezuko giggled and made no moves to hurt any of the humans around them.
"Kid…you saved and helped my wives. I owe you." Tengen said seriously to Tanjiro who smiled at him brightly.
"You don't owe me anything! It was the right thing to do after all!" Tanjiro said and damn if the kid didn't radiate sunshine from his smile.
"Tanjiro-kun…those crates that broke contained the lower moons. What is in the last seven remaining crates?" Kagaya asked while his wife whispered to him what was happening and had happened.
"The Upper Moons and Muzan sir!" Tanjiro said brightly still and the Hashira were all dead silent for a moment.
"How the fuck did you pull that off?!" Shinobu demanded in disbelief and Tanjiro just blinked before he smiled at her.
"It's a trick my dad taught me! I make my presence feel as if it's not even there. And I've always been good at hiding myself and finding things. So sense they couldn't see or hear me, nor could they feel my presence they never even knew I was there until it was too late for them to stop me." Tanjiro said as if it were no big deal at all.
"Really? You have all of them?" Giyu asked staring at Tanjiro who nodded his head and kicked open the top crate, revealing Upper Moon 6 who was bound and gagged before he disintegrated in the sunlight.
"I figured it was best to bring them back here with me that way no one could say I was lying so that my sister would be accepted." Tanjiro said and the smile on his face was kind of disturbing as he kicked open another crate to reveal Upper Moon 5.
"You…really managed to do it?" Kagaya asked staring sightlessly at Tanjiro who nodded his head.
"Yes sir! I'd do anything for family and since Nezuko is my only family left…" Tanjiro said as Demon Moon 4 became nothing but dust.
"You little brat! How could a weak thing like you possibly-" Upper Moon 3 had managed to get his gag off and was yelling at Tanjiro as soon as the box was opened. Nezuko's kick to his chin shut him up as he began to dust as well.
"You really should stop classifying people as weak or strong. After all everyone is born weak. Besides I don't have to be stronger than you as long as I can outsmart you." Tanjiro said with the most matter of fact tone he could manage as he watched the tattooed demon burn up.
"He said some really…nasty things on the way here and mentioned your sister Kocho-san. Would you like to do the honors?" Tanjiro asked motioning to the box and Shinobu gave a savage grin and viciously cut it open with her sword, revealing the blond fancy looking demon inside that was Upper Moon 2.
"Oh? Aren't you cute? I like eating cute women, so nutritious. Women are much more nutritious than men, after all they can grow little babies. I like eating strong women too. Can I absorb you?" The unhinged blond asked staring up at Shinobu even as he was being turned to dust by the sun. Not seeming the least bit frightened by the impending death. Amane cringed away from the demon and pulled her children nearby closer to her while her husband put his hand on her shoulder in reassurance.
"My name is Shinobu Kocho. You killed my older sister Akane. I wanted revenge on you myself but…this works too." Shinobu said with a downright evil smile as she watched him slowly fade away, before she seemed to have a weight off of her shoulders and slumped a bit as he finally vanished completely.
"Oh? A descendant? Heh. To think there are still some of my descendants around. I thought they all died when I left behind my wife and kids." Upper Moon 1 said when his box was kicked open and his eyes landed on Muichiro who blinked a bit and then looked around slowly.
"Me?" Muichiro asked and everyone was tense.
"Heh. Not all there in the head are you descendant?" Upper Moon 1 asked even as he turned to dust.
"Who are you again?" Muichiro asked and Makio and Tanjiro both snickered at the look on the demons face as he finally became nothing but ashes.
"You-you foolish child! Don't you know that by killing me all demons will be killed?! Including your sister?!" Muzan, and for some reason he was a woman at the moment, demanded glaring darkly at Tanjiro who just stared blankly at him. Turning to look at Nezuko who was rubbing the top of Kiriya's head in broad daylight, Tanjiro slowly looked back at the wiggling Muzan who was struggling against his bonds but something was wrong with him.
"I think Nezuko is going to be just fine without you being alive. She's already more than five hundred times the demon you could ever be. But don't worry about that too much as you pass on into the afterlife." Tanjiro gave an evil smile of his own now as he stabbed something into Muzan's body, like he had done with the Moons only this time it was a lot more vicious.
"After all the prototype humanizing drug that was used on you and just sealed your powers instead of making you human? That's just the most dangerous beta test for the cure. Lady Tamayo will definitely be able to make something to turn demons into humans when she analyzes your blood and the blood of your Moons alongside Nezuko's. Goodbye Muzan. When you get to hell tell them who sent you. You'll make some friends!" Tanjiro said all of this with a smile on his face and suddenly everyone knew what 'scary smile' Suma had mentioned as they all watched the feared Demon Lord burn until there was nothing left but ashes that blew away on the breeze.
Everything was dead silent for a moment before Tanjiro looked at the Hashira curiously.
"Okay! I killed the remaining Moons and Muzan himself! Does that mean you all accept my sister now?" Tanjiro asked looking at the Hashira.
"Kid after what I just saw I'd accept it if you said you shit rainbows and sunshine." Sanemi was the one to break the silence again as they all stared at Tanjiro before there was a meow and Chachamaru rubbed against Tanjiro's leg.
"Here you go Chachamaru. You be careful going back to Yushiro-san and Lady Tamayo!" Tanjiro said petting the cat and giving her some scritches behind the ear before she vanished again with another meow.
"Well this was…very different than how I thought any of this would go."
Kagaya was stating the obvious with that but everyone just slowly nodded their heads in agreement.
