Chapter 7: Classes and…..clues?

———————————————————

Earth, United Kingdom.

Scotland, Hogwarts.

Team RWBY's dorm.

November 15, 1994.

It was another day for the team, but today was going to be different. Instead of going to their normal classes with Glynda, her dad and uncle, she was going to see the magical courses that Ruby would have seen had she gone to Hogwarts.

It was actually fortunate that the whole team would be assisting the classes, Glynda thought it would be safer for Ruby to be with them. After that announcement, team RWBY laughed at their classmates because they would be stuck with the normal, boring and killing huntsmen classes while they were going to see magical interesting magical things. CFVY laughed along with RWBY for their misfortune.

And it was fairly easy to convince Dumblefore to let them, for them it was obvious that he was either planning something or already had something planned. He really should find a way to not be read so easily.

After getting ready for the day, they made sure that their weapons were ready for whatever may happen. Ruby also grabbed her wand and put it on the holster. Their day was about to be a bit strange.

They arrived at the great hall and quickly went to sit with their friends and their two favorite lions. While the rest of their friends were giving them playful glares and pouts, RWBY was just enjoying their breakfast.

"So, Harry," Said teen looked up from his food to see that it was Weiss who called him. "What classes do you have today?"

Harry froze for a moment, thinking of what classes exactly he had. "uh..wait, let me check because I always get confused." The girls watched as he searched in his bag for what they believed was a schedule. "Aha! let's see… First is charms, then I have transfiguration, after that is my favorite: Defense Against the Dark Arts, then we have lunch. There's a free period between that and flight and we finish with a double period of potions."

The girls nodded and continued eating. If the names were anything to go by, then they were expecting exactly what those implied. After all, it's not like the names for their own assignments are any better. Possibly this would be a break from their own classes, at least on Remnant they could fall asleep on one particular class.

They continued to talk for a bit before having to bid goodbye to their friends. They followed Harry through the hallways of Hogwarts. The five arrived at a classroom that was divided in two, in two rows of desks and the teacher's desk was at the front. Sitting or standing in a bunch of books, was who the girls thought was the professor. He was one of the few the team hadn't met yet. And for some reason he reminded them of the goblins at Gringotts.

"Ah! Welcome young ones!" The professor had a cheerful actitud, apparently, "I don't believe we have met properly. I'm Filius Flitwick, the charms professor."

"Good morning professor, I'm Ruby Rose and please refer to me as such." Filius nodded with a smile and waited for the others.

"Weiss Schnee." Weiss said with her own greeting nod.

"Blake Belladonna."

"Yang Xiao Long"

"Is an honor to meet you officially as well professor!" The four said at the same time before looking at each other and giggling. Harry gave them an odd look, asking himself how often that happens.

The classroom was soon filled by the rest of the students and the class started not long after, with the professor asking Ruby about her wand. Today, they were learning about an offensive spell or charm or whatever the heck it was (A/N: IDK how to distinguish them). By the little information they got from Harry and Hermione, Who joined them by the time the class was about to start, the spell made things explode and was called 'Bombarda'. Apparently, it was time to put their knowledge of it into practice. Professor Flitwick made a demonstration, to which both Ruby and Yang eyed each other out of the corner of their eyes and smiled mischievously. That action alone made both Weiss and Blake roll their eyes, knowing full well of the stupid things those two could do, and for everyone else who saw their expressions to feel a shiver come up through their spine.

While the students were trying to cast the charm, the team was talking with the professor. Ruby more specifically, and as soon as she learned that the professor was a duelist champion; she decided to bombard him with questions. He was happy to answer and explain some of the charms and spells that he knew were actually of use. The class finished with only a handful of students being able to cast Bombarda. Before going to the next, Ruby wanted to try it and Filius was happy to let her. He shows her the correct wand movements and way to pronounce it.

"Bombarda!" Ruby immediately flinched back after casting it. Actually, everyone left in the room did. The explosion caused by the spell was bigger than it normally is. Also, Ruby was gaping and blinking confusedly at the damaged dummy. It was the first time that she casted a spell in the first try. "...That was unexpected…"

Everyone was a bit more shocked than necessary, and gave no answer for a while. The professor was the first to break out of his shock "Well, while that was...unexpected as you said, Miss Rose. I do believe that it's time for you to head to the next class."

That seemed to do the trick as everybody else started to say their goodbyes and slowly left. Meanwhile, professor Filius Flitwick stared at the almost destroyed dummy with a bit of intrigue.

The group made it to the Transfiguration classroom just as professor McGonagall had started the class. She looked at them with a raised eyebrow, asking them to explain their tardiness. They only said that they got a bit caught up with professor flitwick, and it seemed to be justifiable enough. Harry and Hermione took their respective seats while the girls just stood behind in the classroom, watching as the professor gave a quick rundown of the class. The students knew this was more for the team that was at the back.

The spell they were learning about was Evanesco. As this was the first class of theorie, professor McGonagall made a demonstration followed by the explanation of it. For some reason the team thought it was like May Marigold's semblance. It wasn't. Ruby, along with the rest of her friends seemed really interested in the explanation even a bit more than some of the students. One of Weiss' hands was actually moving as if she was taking notes.

During the explanation, McGonagall was writing and signaling things on the blackboards behind her desk. The team noted that none of the students was taking notes. As the professor finished explaining, the students were taking out their materials to take notes; and at that moment RWBY's confusion was cleared.

"Everyone, I want you to copy the notes and parts signaled that are on the boards. Remember that I want you to include your own too." They nodded and got to work, while Ruby noticed that McGonagall motioned her over. She told her friends to wait for her there and went to the front. "Miss Rose."

"Is something wrong professor?"

"There is nothing wrong, I just wanted to talk with you." Ruby nodded. "As you are aware, you are a metamorphmagus."

"Yes, and I still have no idea what that is." She tilted her head to the side, not knowing where this was going.

McGonagall gave her a slightly confused look and raised eyebrow. "Did James and Lily not tell you?"

"I may or may not have forgotten to ask and pushed it to the back of my mind." Ruby scratched her cheek and avoided eye contact.

"Believe it or not, you're exactly like your father." She sighed and shook her head. "A metamorphmagus is a witch or wizard that is able to change their appearance without the aid of a wand and is born with the ability."

"I assume they are rare?"

"Yes they are, Miss Rose. Normally they have a talent for transfiguration and it comes easier to them." The professor reached for something in a drawer, she pulled out two matchsticks and put one in front of Ruby.

"What's this for, professor?" Ruby asked, grabbing the matchstick and looking at it curiously.

"Look closely at the one in front of me and you'll know." Ruby nodded. She watched as McGonagall made some wand movements and saw how the matchstick turned into a needle. "I want you to try it, Miss Rose."

Ruby nodded and watched as McGonagall showed her the proper wand movements. In the back, Weiss, Blake and Yang watched both worriedly and fondly at their leader and family. They watched as the professor showed Ruby some spells, and saw how after the fourth try Ruby was apparently able to do the same thing as professor McGonagall. They didn't know what exactly they did but they knew it involved a matchstick. The three watched with smiles as the two continued to talk, they were happy for her but they knew that she was going to have to make a choice at the end of all this rollercoaster. Although the three had already silently decided to not leave her alone.

Ruby came back to them, eagerly showing them a needle and saying that it was originally a matchstick. That definitely surprised them. They asked about her conversation with the professor as they weren't really paying attention. Ruby told them what she could during the time they had left, although it wasn't much as the class finished no longer after she had started explaining her conversation.

They followed Harry and Hermione out of the classroom once the girls had seen them. The four watched amused at Harry's excitement of showing them his favorite class. Yang turned to look at Hermione, who was both smugly and fondly glancing at Harry's rant. For some reason. She smiled at the thought that Harry had a great friend. Even if she teased him about the two of them being more.

They arrived at the D.A.D.A. classroom after a bit of a walk. The girls' guard was up once again. There was something about the professor mad eye that made them uneasy, they still couldn't pinpoint what exactly. Weiss always said that it maybe was his magical eye that freaked them out, and while the rest agreed that was weird; they still felt something else was off about him.

As the classroom slowly started to fill, the girls were surveying it. They located things they thought to be weird having in this class, there were some materials that looked more for the potions class than defense against the dark arts. At one point Blake got close to the window and mouthed 'Third floor',the others nodded and waited for the class to start.

"Ah! Miss Potter, good of you to join us." The professor said as he crossed the door, causing Ruby to roll her eyes in annoyance and for her friends to glare weakly at the man.

"Yes, I joined you but I'm not a Potter, I'm a Rose. Could you please get it in your head?!" Ruby said, her head hanging back lazily.

The professor just stared at them for a moment before turning and walking into the front and loudly yelling, "Everyone sit down, We are going to review the unforgivables today."

The students complained with some of them yelling "AGAIN?!"

"But professor, we have reviewed the curses at least three times!" the boy, that if they weren't wrong was Neville, was obviously either nervous or scared.

"Yes, but this time we have four new students who possibly have no idea about them." He pursed his lips and glanced at the back of the classroom, while his magical eye watched over the students. And the rest of the people glanced at the back too. Some with annoyance and others with pity.

The girls narrowed their eyes at the defense professor. There was something definitely going on. Although he wasn't entirely wrong. Ruby had heard once of some students complaining about having to see the unforgivables in D.A.D.A. She had asked both Lily and Remus about them, they had just told them generally about them but she felt that they were uncomfortable talking about them, so she didn't press.

The team was silent during the little introduction of the class. They didn't want to miss a detail, even though the introduction was the same generalities that Lily and Remus said. That is until he started talking about one of the three spells.

"Mr. Longbottom we're starting with this one so we can get it out of the way." He continued with the lesson without waiting for an answer. "The torturing curse, Crucio. With this curse the caster has the ability to cast a painful torture, if it used too much on a person it can lead to insanity." Then he grabbed an insanely big beetle and briefly casted the spell. They saw how Neville tried to make himself small during those five seconds, surely he must have either experienced it or have some bad memories about it. They also noticed how the beetle was moving and twisting uncontrollably in the professor's hand. If it was that painful seeing it happen to the insect, the girls could only imagine the pain a human must feel.

"Interesting, I wonder if our auras would somehow lessen the pain…" Weiss whispered only loud enough for her teammates to hear, and they absentmindedly hummed. Out of the corner of her eye she saw how the professor Moody's magical eye was looking in their general direction, as if it had heard her. That thing still creeped her out.

"Next! the mind controlling curse, Imperios. This one allows the caster to control anyone who is under the curse if it was casted successfully, though if you're strong willed then you should be able to resist it. That is the only drawback of this particular curse." There was once again a presentation of the curse. The beetle had long stopped thrashing around. "Imperios." The beetle had gone still, and it wasn't until the professor moved his wand to point at a student's desk that the beetle moved. The girls watched as the professor made the bug hop between the desk and some students. Some of them shied away from it. The professor suddenly pointed his wand at them, that's when Ruby felt something in her left arm. She turned to see what it was, and saw the beetle settled there. It had started to slowly walk up her bicep and stop in her shoulder.

While Ruby had a neutral expression, her teammates could see some little signals that showed her disgust. The glint in her eyes and the little twitch in her lip was more than enough to know. Ruby kept her gaze on the bug until she saw it move again. She jerked her to the other side but felt the beetle walk on her neck and get closer to her face. As she tried to get her face out of reach, everyone was staring in anticipation. They were waiting for the moment she snapped. And that was when Ruby finally felt it on her cheek, she slapped it away and sent it flying to a nearby wall.

Moody had an amused smile before calling the beetle back to him. "The third and final curse, the one you-know-who used the most during his reign of terror. The killing curse. Avada Kedavra. And as you know there have been four people who survived it. The Potter family. With the two kids making the dark lord disappear along with the eldest twin." As he said the last sentence, everyone in the classroom turned their heads towards Ruby, who looked as neutral as when the beetle was on her shoulder. Though the look in her eyes spoke annoyance. She surely was fed up with this.

Both Ruby and professor Moody were having a staring match, one where Ruby's neutral face changed to one of determination. And team RWBY hadn't looked so intimidating in any other moment than right now. They looked as if they were to head to battle. After a moment, where team RWBY and the professor just stared at each other, professor Moody casted the killing curse to the beetle.

No longer than five minutes after that. Professor Alastor Moody declared that the class was finished. The classroom was slowly emptied, with Harry, Hermione and the team being the last ones to exit.

"I wasn't the only one who felt an extrange vibe from the professor, right?" Hermione asked once they were away from the professor 's hearing range.

Harry shook his head, agreeing with her. Meanwhile the team just shrugged. "Eh, we've had a bad feeling about him since we met." Yang responded.

The two Hogwarts students looked a bit confused, if not shocked, at that. "Let's go for some fresh air." Harry said once he broke out of his state.

"It's lunch Harry, we can go after that." Hermione reminded him.

Immediately Harry's stomach rumbled, making the girls giggle. They arrived at the great hall just before it became packed. And while Harry and Hermione did have a full meal, the girls just had some snacks.

They made some small talk and were mostly in tranquility. Though, the two lions minds still had a few questions about the strange feeling that manifested during the class. They soon finished eating and started to go outside.

They could see it was a nice day as the group walked out the castle, sunny and warm. In the distance of the grounds of the school, was the space used for the flight classes. As both Hogwarts students told them. It was away from both the forest and the castle, although it was relatively close to the latter. With the addition that the huntresses could see their friends preparing for their classes. Immediately, both Ruby and Yang started making faces to them, which were answered with playful insults.

As they walked on the edge of the lake something came up to Weiss' attention. Who was the only one who apparently noticed this. "Hey Harry? Weren't you on the quidditch team?"

"Uhm...Y-yeah, why?"

"Then if you're on the team of a flying sport why are you going to have a class about flight?" That made all of them pause.

"Oh, I use it to train in my flight." He swiftly explained, "I may be skilled in a broom but it never hurts, and I also love the feeling of when I'm flying."

Everyone nodded at that and continued on their way. But if it wasn't for a "HARRY!" yelled they would have. The group turned towards the voice. There were two people, who were obviously siblings if the flaming red hair and freckles were anything to go by. Both Harry and Hermione tensed a bit when seeing the boy that was slightly behind the younger girl.

"Hey Ginny! Do you need something?" Hermione asked, completely ignoring the boy behind.

"Yeah, but it's something quick, don't worry." Ginny dismissed and pointed at the boy behind her. "It's just that Ron wanted me to tell you that Seamus told him, that Dean told him, tha Parvati told him, that Hagrid wants to talk with you and Ruby."

"Tell Ron that-wait, what?" Harry was totally confused.

"Don't make me say it again, Hagrid wants to see you and your sister before dinner." She turned to look at Ron with a lazy glare, it held him in place as she got closer to Harry and Hermione. "Also, I know we haven't talked to you much in the past weeks but I wanted to apologize for how Ron has been. The twins and I have tried to get some sense into his head." She finished with an apologetic smile.

The two smiled gratefully at that, "don't worry Ginny, and thanks for the message." Harry gave her a nod before her friend went on her way back to Ron.

"Hagrid's the giant right?" Blake asked once they resumed their own way.

"Yep, really nice guy." Hermione said

"Yeah, he's like a...giant teddy bear but can be scary when it comes to it." Harry added.

"Huh, I don't think we've had the chance to talk to him. Have we?" Weiss asked as she turned to the rest of her family.

"No, I don't think we have." Yang then noticed the silence of someone. "You ok there Rubes?"

"I'm just thinking of why he would want to see me and Harry." Ruby said and the others just shrugged. No one had any idea of what it might be that Hagrid wants to talk about. Even when both Harry and Hermione had a hunch.

The rest of the free period passed without any interruption. And while Harry and Hermione were talking about the tournament, team RWBY was sightseeing and relaxing. They had to admit it, the scenery that surrounded the castle and the castle itself really were a sight to see. And now that everyone remembers the strange feeling of being both uneasy and safe, they still have to talk about that. They wonder if their friends feel it.

As they headed to the next class, they saw how madame Hooch was grabbing a bunch of brooms and arranging them in lines. The students arrived not long after them, although the team could see they were on the younger side. Harry and Hermione positioned themselves at the side of a broom, just like the other students. Meanwhile the team positioned themselves beside the professor.

"Hello Miss Rose, Miss Schnee, Miss Belladonna, Miss Xiao Long." Madame Hooch quickly said with a nodd.

"Hello Madame Hooch." The four said in unison.

"Would you like to try, Miss Rose?"

Ruby grabbed her chin in thought, then after a moment, she grinned. "Yeah, why not?"

Hooch nodded and gave her a broom, along with telling her how to call the broom and how to mount it. To everyone's surprise, and even hers, she did everything in the first try. The instructor gave the indications for the rest of the class while Ruby was just floating around her teammates.

"Huh, this doesn't feel too different from using my semblance." Ruby was slightly amused by this.

"Really? I seriously doubt that." Blake raised her eyebrow in a challenging manner.

"Oh, c'mon Blake, I know what my semblance feels like." Then she remembered something, "actually all of you know what my semblance feels like!"

"Yes we do, but that's mostly because you always drag us around with it." Weiss half-heartedly scolded.

"I still don't like it even though I'm accustomed to it." Yang added.

Ruby hummed in thought. She didn't know if her team could do magic on their own, so she didn't think they could ride a broom. She smiled at her team, who narrowed their eyes, before turning and calling the professor. "Madam Hooch! How many people can a broom hold?"

"These ones are designed for two in case something were to happen, but normally are for only one person. Why do you ask?"

"Curiosity!" She looked back at her teammates and winked. "So, who wants to try?"

Her teammates looked at each other, not knowing if this was a good idea. They knew it might be their only time riding a broom. And that it also might be fun. So they made the decision to try mentally.

The first one to get the rush of courage was Yang. She knew she could trust her leaderand sister. Ruby has saved her life on different occasions. The two took a moment to see how to accommodate themselves. After a while, the two were a few feet up in the air. Weiss and Blake saw them with an amused smile, knowing that it would definitely be fun. Meanwhile, Madame Hooch noticed, along with the students who were just watching, what happened and started to give some advice to the redhead.

"This is fun as heck" Yang laughed.

"Right?" Ruby then went a little faster as they silently agreed it was time to scare some people. (AKA their teammates). And started doing some spins that seemed dangerous. After a little while of fun, Yang thought that was enough so the rest could get a turn. Ruby agreed and got them down. Yang quickly got off the broom and helped Weiss up.

Both were smiling as they flew into the air. For a reason, this made Weiss feel more free than ever, and she knew that Ruby also felt that freedom. Her first actual friend was also right. The flying in the broom felt like when Ruby used her semblance, just a bit calmer.

"You were right. It's like a more calm version of your semblance."

"I'm always right." Weiss smacked her playfully and Ruby stuck her tongue out in response.

They flew a moment more before Weiss asked to get down. She gracefully got off the broom once her partner got close enough to the ground. After Weiss got down, Blake carefully got up. Blake had to hug Ruby tightly to make sure she wouldn't fall, and soon both were laughing and smiling as Ruby did some spins.

"I never thought I would ride in a broom" Blake whispered, watching with a grin the ground.

"Me neither, but you know what they say: 'expect the unexpected' " Blake hummed in agreement and rested her head on her shoulder. After a while of more flying and both of them enjoying the calmness, Ruby finally got them down. Blake's boots touched softly the grass, and along with Ruby joined the rest of their team. Weiss and Yang noticed that the two took the opportunity to have a moment; something they teased them endlessly. The four talked quietly and were soon approached by the professor.

"Those were amazing displays of broom control Miss Rose." She said with a proud smile, "I'm still trying to believe that was your first time with a broom."

"Well, when I was floating around it actually felt really similar to my semblance so it was kind of natural for me." Ruby shrugged.

Madame Hooch nodded, already having seen the display of Ruby's semblance. She went back to supervise the other students for a few moments more before blowing a whistle and announcing that the class was over.

The team along with Harry and Hermione quickly went to the dungeons. They were quite far from the potions classroom. There wasn't any conversation on the way, even though team RWBY could see the comments were trapped in the two teenagers' mouths.

The six arrived in time to the classroom, along with the other students. Everyone was having a little conversation on their own while waiting for the professor. Harry and Hermione finally made some comment on Ruby's skill to fly, and with Hermione wondering if the talent is hereditary while Harry asked for a race.

Everyone jumped when the sound of the door slamming open rang through the classroom. Snape walked in, his robes flowing behind him in a pretty dramatic manner. The team had to suppress giggles because of that. Snape quickly scanned the room, stopping when his eyes caught the sight of the four young adults in the room. His lips twitched, and by the look in his eyes the team deduced he was going to sneer.

"If it isn't the new celebrity of Hogwarts." Harry blinked, feeling a wave of deja vu. "I hope you're competent enough if you decide to try what we're brewing today."

"Believe me professor, you have nothing to worry about. If the brewing of potions is anything like either cooking or chemistry, I'll be a complete failure; so I don't want to risk it." Her teammates snorted, suddenly remembering one too many cooking accidents.

"It's more hilarious knowing that she is a great baker." Yang whispered to Harry, who snickered a bit.

"It seems you don't know about the fine science that is potion making." Snape then got closer to the table where they were at, slamming his hands onto it. "I can teach you how to bewitch the mind, how to bottle fame, brew glory and even stop death itself. So it is not on the same level as something as trivial as cooking or even chemistry," he was clearly annoyed.

"In all honesty, professor. I do not care for fame or glory, and we aren't afraid of death anymore. It's almost a requirement for our job." Ruby didn't even flinch from the hostile tone in Snape's voice, instead responding in just the same tone.

Snape then stood at his full height, scowling at the audacity that the girl had. "Today you will be brewing skelegrow. Half of the first period will be used for a demonstration while the rest of the class will be for you to brew it." He then walked to his own table that had the ingredients ready.

The four girls eyed each other a bit nervously, as the rest of the students got closer to their professor's table. The team were the last to approach the table, as they got closer they could see a variety of different ingredients. All of them got really curious to know what exactly was on those bottles and mortars.

Snape started to explain vaguely the procedure, along with showing the ingredients needed. As he began to make the potion, he explained each step in a little more detail. The potion was starting to come together and by the time Snape finished it, he apparently gave a reminder of the effects of the potion and for what it is. The team wasn't able to deduce if that was the first time he explained it to the students or not.

Snape made a move of his hand and the students went back to their respective tables after having received their ingredients. Everyone started to work on their own potions, about ten times more slowly than the professor. Snape was making rounds around the tables, supervising the students but in no way was he helping them. Even if they asked for it.

Team RWBY was on the back exploring the classroom a bit, making sure of not interrupting the students but sometimes taking a peek either at their advances or their books. Although it was more Weiss, Blake and Yang. Ruby was more interested in the bottles and vials full of interesting things that sat on the shelves. A bottle in particular got her attention, it didn't have a nametag. She grabbed it and inspected it a bit more closely, it was a liquid nothing out of the ordinary but the thing was that it looked too much like blood and it looked really fresh too.

"I recommend for you to not be as reckless as your father and brother, Miss Rose." Came the indifferent sounding voice of Snape, who made Ruby jump. Luckily the bottle was firmly held in her hand. She didn't even notice him approaching, she concluded that she really got into her thoughts.

"Actually professor, if I'm any reckless I would blame my sister." Ruby then motioned towards Yang, who right now was leaning over Hermione to see her potion.

"Please do not grab anything from the shelves," he said with a scowl. Ruby nodded and quickly put back the bottle in its respective place, her mind still trying to figure what it was.

Snape went back to watch over the different tables full of students. His face with the everpresent scowl. While he was indeed on stand by if any of the students messed up incredibly, his mind was mostly wondering. He knew that Dumbledore had a plan for the girl. But he could see how, whatever the plan was, it would fail. In the brief conversation he had with her, he had done legilimency on the girl. For the major part, he was impressed by her accomplished feats, even when he was sure that she was a troublemaker. Although he became a bit scared after seeing the power she possessed, it added a new probability to their plan. Without mentioning that he could say that, even when she doesn't know it, Ruby was the perfect combination of James and Lily. Just like Harry. But where Harry was more inclined to their father, Ruby had more of their mother. And the first interaction that they had today confirmed it.

He turned to look at the girl again, who was again too close to the shelves for his comfort. It seems she has the same curiosity of her mother, at least it seemed she followed his instructions this time. He looked at the rest of her team who was sticking more with either Granger or Potter. They seemed to be a lot more responsible than Rose.

He continued to oversee the students for the remaining time, always glancing over the girl to make sure she didn't grab anything again. He couldn't help but feel uneasy if there was something in her hands, and that when he went through her memories he saw different kinds of accidents involving this 'dust' or generally causing a disaster in the labs of her school and kitchen. It seemed the explosions followed her like they did Finnigan.

At the end of the class, only a handful of students managed to do the potion efficiently. Snape dismissed the class with a wave of his hand. The students seemed more eager to get their things into the bags than in previous classes. The team supposed it was because of the location of the classroom. Team RWBY along with Harry and Hermione were the first ones to exit.

"I felt something weird in that classroom." Ruby commented.

"It's potions, it always feels weird," Harry responded. "Anyways, Hermione, can you help me with my homework? I want to at least advance on some of it before going with Hagrid." Hermione nodded with a smile. The two bid goodbye to the girls before walking away.

The girls looked at each other, not knowing what to do with the rest of the day. They silently agreed to just relax and enjoy the free time they were gonna get.

Ruby, along with Yang, were walking to Hagrid's hut. All thanks to having asked McGonagall where it was. The two were still wondering why Hagrid had asked for Ruby and Harry. They shrugged, deciding to not focus on it anymore.

At one point Harry joined them on their way. When they arrived at the hut they were welcomed by fang. Ruby immediately started to play with him. As they waited, the sky slowly started to get darker. Although they didn't have to wait for long as Hagrid came out of his hut, dressed quite formally for some reason. They decided not to ask, but they did wonder as to why Hagrid was leading them to the forbidden forest. Their first question was answered when they saw madam Maxim at one point, now it was a group of five getting each time deeper into the forest.

At one point the darkness of the forest was no more as they saw an orange light, and as they got closer they heard the distinctive sound of a roar. The five hid behind some bushes and trees, and watched as some cages were uncovered.

"Beautiful creatures aren' they?" Hagrid asked the rest of the little group, who was staring in amazement, terror and surprise.

"They...are dragons?" Yang asked, looking and sounding amazed and worried at the same time. Just as she finished speaking a gray looking dragon spat a column of fire.

"Hello guys! and yes they are dragons!" Someone else joined, making everyone turn to look at them. Harry smiled.

"Hi Charlie! Do you happen to know why there are five dragons in the forbidden forest?" Harry asked hopefully for the answer.

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "I thought it would be obvious with the tournament and all."

Now with an answer the face of both Harry and Ruby changed. Ruby's to one of excitement and Harry's to one of horror. The two have very different thoughts.

'I have to warn Cedric.'

'This'll be FUN!'
