Arthur's plans for the business he took on when his father retired are going from strength to strength. Life should be perfect, but as the Pendragon's know all too well, life is never quite that simple.

Modern AU. Merlin, Arthur Pendragon's personal body-guard, babysits his Royal Pratness at the Pub. He takes a different Pendragon home than usual. T for the F-bomb.

Arthur knew Merlin was more than just the other side of his coin. His kinship with majestic creatures of magic also had a place in his remarkable soul. It wasn't that Arthur didn't believe Merlin. It was more that he had only ever seen magic used for evil, and a lifetime of brainwashing from Uther wasn't about to fade overnight. How was he supposed to change his views for one man, especially when he had seen Merlin use his magic for bad as well?

Morgana's fate is intertwined with Arthur's in a manner that is borderline dramatic. Will Uther's hatred towards old religion persevere and how will it affect her and the Crown Prince's bond of fourteen years? Especially with Merlin's intrusive nature and Gwen's secretive behaviour. Meanwhile, the Camelot is unsafe, as a stranger from the past makes an unwelcoming entrance.

Destiny plays out a little differently. Prince Arthur is still a prat, though. / Or, the one where King Uther makes a massive oversight. Who's surprised? Show of hands. / "You saved my boy's life. You shall be a knight." / Utterly ridiculous. AU of 1x01 onward. [One-shot series.]

Once again, Arthur is out in the woods hunting when his trusty servant Merlin ruins yet another hunt for the Crown Prince of Camelot. Gwen and Morgana can't help but laugh at Merlin's clumsiness and Arthur's resulting anger. Arthur is not the least bit amused. Based on the drabble prompt: "You're seriously like a man-child!"
