Buttercup stares out the living room window, watching the joy the other children have as they chase each other in circles.

"Daddy ,can I go outside with the other kids?" Buttercup looks back at her father HIM.

"Sweetheart, you aren't like the other children, you're special." he smiled at her.

"No I'm not. I'm nothing but a-a kid. Nothing is special about a mere child." she laughed at the thought of her being special.

"The fact that you are a five year old girl and talk like an adult shows your intelligence. If you think that's normal, you have a awkward perspective of the world we live in." he laughed dryly.

"I Am Normal." she stomped her foot on the ground.

"You are the offspring of the two of the worst imaginable demons, normal is not anywhere in your blood." he walked up to her and patted her head.

She pushed his hand off, "Mom wasn't bad. She was more normal than anyone I've ever met!"

"She was one of the few daughters of Lilith, the Queen of on of the many sections of Hell. Don't get me wrong your mother was the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on but she was anything but normal."

"Then what was she?"

"She was my happiness and depression. One of the few things I live for. For one of the darkest creature, she could make any room...bright."

There was a moment of silence as Buttercup took all of the information in.

"Your mother died trying to protect you from the evils of this world, and we will finish what she started. You are more dangerous and powerful than me and your mother ever were at your age."

"But I haven't shown any signs of power since I was a baby. How do you even know I am 'dangerous' anymore."

"So, you don't think your dangerous?"

"Nope."

"I'll keep that in mind." he smiled a Cheshire grin, walking away in the dark.
