Merlin may have kept Arthur alive, but there is no way they are making it back to Camelot in their conditions. Luckily an ally takes them in, but not all is well when a certain secret is accidentally revealed. Set during and immediately after Episode 6 in Season 3, "The Changeling." Merlin faces the anger of the Sidhe for killing the Sidhe Elder. As punishment for his crime, Merlin is given a fateful choice. What price must he pay to save Arthur and his destiny?

In my mind, this is set at the final battle but with a few changes. 1) Merlin is there 2) Morgana doesn't know about Emrys (probably) 3) Alator is still alive These should all come into later chapters which I hope to write soon (hopefully longer than this) but the story isn't yet set in stone so is subject to change.

When the stars begin to fall from the sky and the darkness becomes constant, a small group of friends must band together and save themselves before the creatures of the night can claim them.
