So this is a sequel to my story No Mortal basically continuing season 4 into Wicked Day. Merlin is bound to the veil and he's still learning what that means and whether Arthur can handle it as well, then there are assassins and ghosts and what does being Emrys really mean? COMPLETE!

This time when Merlin saves his life, Arthur is fully aware of it. He's also eight years old and about to learn that sometimes the hardest part of having a friend is keeping one. Especially when there are friends that you should never have made in the first place.

Merlin arrives in Camelot to escape his abusive Father Balinor. Uncle Gaius helps takes him into his home and helps him to find work in the castle and as fate would have Merlin stumbles into his destiny.(This is an alternate view on Balinor and how Merlin came to Camelot.)

Arthur loves Merlin, and would do anything, change anything to get him to reciprocate his feelings, including his eating habits. If only it will make Merlin love him... Merthur, fluff and slash. Rated T (to be on the safe side)
