Post 5X13. A story where in 880 Merlin receives his first grey hair, 1348 sees him hide from the bubonic plague and in the late 80's makes friends with a woman name Jane. In the same vein, this is also a story where in 721 Arthur saves Merlin's life, in 1707 he carves a wooden sword and in 2013 disappears right before Merlin's eyes.

Merlin hasn't been to Avalon in over a hundred years when he wakes one day and desires to return. He does nothing now but wander from place to place, lost forever in a modern world while his heart and soul belong to an ancient king, and so he gathers his bags and goes.
