Merlin reminisces about times passed

One shot. "You have made an enemy of me and the Old Religion itself. I am a High Priestess of Avalon. No mortal could ever hope to kill me. You were a fool to believe you ever could."

Having just finished his Masters and falling behind on rent, Merlin's in desperate need of a job. Unfortunately, nothing in his field is available immediately and the last resort his godfather managed to rustle up ("I already have a secretary, Merlin") isn't exactly what Merlin would call his dream job. Slash.

The second of my Merlin endings. I hope this one meets your expectations.

Merlin gets caught by slave traders. Angst and Whump! GWAINE! (Because we all know he rocks). I don't own. T 'cause whump. No slash! UPDATE! I'm sort-of rewriting this because I hate the ending. So there will be a better, longer version up soon. Probably.

The second of two short stories, both look at alternate endings to the BBC legend - Merlin refuses to accept Arthur's death and, through a foreshadowing deal with the Sidhe, defies the will of Fate. Perhaps, sometimes it is arrogant to believe we can change Fate...but occasionally...we succeed.

Merlin stumbles upon Arthur in his bedroom, and the situation from there turns...shall we say... lovingly awkward. I know the scenario of Merlin barging into awkward situations is fairly common, but just give it a chance. :D
