Chapter 4- I'm not much of a talker, so don't expect to relieve too much boredom, Daughter of God.

A minute.

10.

30.

An hour.

An hour was what it took for the slime to regain awareness of his surroundings, Milim observed. She couldn't bear to think of the sadness the women's memories left Rimuru. When he had checked his surroundings, he then formed the shiniest mirror she'd ever seen from the ground. 'What could that be?' Milim wondered, already replacing her pitying expression with one of childish curiosity.

Rimuru seemed stunned by his beautiful form. Though it only looked pre-teen, similar to the Milim he'd soon see, his looks weren't at all inferior to the adult Shizue.

A flawless face, each feature perfectly positioned and sized. Dazzling golden eyes, the window to his radiant soul. Silver-blue hair as pretty as Milim's, shunning the moon with its silky smooth strands and breath-taking luminescence. His figure, though childish and immature it may be, was still slim and proper, giving off a feeling of inner maturity (though no one but God knew just how short a time such maturity would last). Milim looked a bit dumbfounded at how someone with the same pre-teen look as her could reach the level of beauty her people had praised her for. She couldn't wait to see the looks on their faces.

Back to Rimuru- after observing his human form, he appeared to go silent, as if listening to something. Milim wondered if he was talking to an information-based skill.

Deciding it was time to introduced herself, she, stood up, about to fly to Rimuru, when she noticed him turning towards some foliage. There she saw three humans, an elderly goblin, a dire wolf with a star on its head, and an elderly ogre step from the bushes, looking at Rimuru, with anger, fear, awe, and caution, respectively. The humans spoke out before anyone had a chance to greet the young beauty.

"What did you do to Shizu-san?!" A blonde woman around 20 asked. Two men looking around 26 and 30 then shouted the same.

Contrary to Milim's expectations, however, Rimuru slimed fondly at them, as if looking at old companions.

"Though unknowingly, I fulfilled her dying wish," he replied with a wry smile and apologetic look.

"Dying wish?! Liar, you murdered her!"

"Hmm... Perhaps it will be best to show you." Rimuru said before a dazzling diamond orb appeared in his hands.

...

(Rimuru 1st person)

Placing the orb down on the ground, I activated the magic GS and I had learned from Shizue-san's memories- oddly enough, Memory Magic. The spell I used allowed one to their memories by using an object with a reflection: the higher quality it is, the more clearly the memories are shown in the reflection. My diamond orb was perfect for it.

Watching the expressions of the 6 who appeared shift into utter shock upon seeing the reflection, I couldn't stifle a small giggle. It was then that GS informed me:

Notice. A portion of the surrounding space and magicules have suddenly disappeared from Magic Sense. It is suspected to be the result of someone failing to cloak their presence correctly.

'Hm? ... Keep an eye on it until I drive these six away,' I thought. A worried expression floated on my face until I thought of a way to get them all to go away, which made it brighten once more.

"So, Goblin-san, Wolf-san, and Ogre-san, you wouldn't happen to have names, would you?" I said, a slight grin on my face, tone bright.

All 3 silently shook their heads, though they were still clearly shocked by the orb.

Now, my tone dropped, emotionless, yet it still gave off the feeling of someone being pestered by those present:

"So," I began, "if I name you three, will you leave?" Their faces looked even more shocked, but they quickly turned contemplative.

"And it won't be master-servant. It'll be equal." My eyes shone, the soul visible through them letting them know I was being truthful. As if that solved their problems, the three said, simultaneously:

"Okay." The elderly goblin still looked apprehensive, but seeing as he was being treated equally here, that look didn't last for long.

Without even needing to think, I knew the names they must have: "Goblin-san, you shall be Rigurd from now on. Wolf-san, carry the name Ranga with pride. Ogre-san, use the power Hakurou gives you to keep the youth you care for safe."

I could see that their energy levels were surging, so quickly I said, "Now go. And take the three humans who fainted with you until they recover." I pointed to the trio who had accompanied Shizue-san on her final journey.

When they finally left, I sighed in relief, my expression and tone softened before I gently spoke.

"You can come out now, friend."

...

(3rd person perspective)

Milim grinned, before jumping out from her cover. "Took you long enough!" She shouted, before flying over in less than a second.

Rimuru once again went silent, listening to what Milim still assumed to be a skill. "So Dragonoid-san, what did you come here for?" After saying this, he returned to his original slime form.

"Well, isn't it obvious? I came to talk! I've been bored for soooooo long, so when I heard dad say he'd found a chosen one, I was super excited to meet you!" Milim shouted.

After putting together some pieces in his mind, Rimuru said, "I'm not a good talker, so don't expect to relieve too much boredom, Daughter of God."

"Ooooh, that was fast! Anyway, first of all, I am the Tyrant of Destruction, Milim Nava! But since my dad likes you, just call me Milim. Also, you needn't worry, because I've got loads of things to talk about, and a place with some people to show you! So we won't run out of things to talk about!" Milim shouted, voice filled with childish curiosity and excitement.

By this point, Rimuru had figured out Milim was the owner of the childish gaze he felt before being reincarnated, and so he was also intrigued by Milim. Furthermore, Veldora, who'd been silently reading the manga in his memories all this time, gave an approving grunt towards Milim, so: "Alright, fine. So, where to?"

Milim's grin grew wider at this, so she quickly picked Rimuru up before flying into the air, rising higher and higher until they were about 200m from the ground, at which point she slowed down a bit and starting casually heading west.

Peaking out from Milim's tight embrace, what he saw shocked him. Lush forests with shades of green he'd never even known existed! Enchanting rivers twisting like snakes, their water glistening like the starry sky. It was honestly all almost as pretty and Milim and himself.

He was shocked more by the trust he already had for Milim, despite having known her for a collective minute and a half. It was even faster than him beginning to trust Veldora. Of course, Rimuru was unaware that Milim was shocked in the same way.

"So what do you want to know?" Rimuru asked.

To this, Milim grinned and proceeded to list a whole host of questions, all of which Rimuru answered while confused as to why his trust for her grew even stronger with each question she asked.

She had asked about his abilities, the world he came from, what he'd talked to Veldora about, what it's like to be a slime, why he's so smooth and comfortable compared to the usual slightly sticky slimes, and many more.

"So did you make that really pretty diamond orb using Transmutation? If so, what else did you make?" Milim asked eagerly, tightening her embrace before spinning in the air.

"Mhm," Rimuru offered a reply. "I made weirdly dense iron spheres, incredibly high purity gold, the incredibly high purity diamond orb you already saw, and two figurines made out of diamond, in the shape of Veldora and I. Do you want one made of you?"

"Really?! Of course! But you have to make it so that I'm holding you too! Oh yeah, and why did you seem so keen about what magic material the orbs will turn into?"

"Err... Okay. And as for your question, since I can't directly transmute something into magisteel, GS recommended I make multiple high purity materials, and bathe them in my magicules and the weird energy in my stomach pouch, and see if it accelerates their growth, or even creates a new material! I'm especially hopeful for the diamond, though I have no clue why."

"Ooh! If it turns into something cool, promise you'll show me! You should also experiment with this weird material my people discovered in the place we're heading. It's not as strong as my sword or armour, but it seems to be a new type of metal! Maybe you'll know more about it!"

Rimuru couldn't help but chuckle at Milim's childish behaviour. He was also a bit worried though- he found that his thoughts had been slowly becoming more childish since he was reborn. In other words, he was going through infantile regression!

Hiding his worries he muttered, weakly, but happily, "Maybe I will..."

A comfortable, peaceful, and warm silence enveloped them like a cozy blanket, and they flew over the viridescent forests below.

Their minds slowly became at ease, and shortly after Rimuru had recovered the magicules he used for naming, Milim came to a halt.

"There it is! My land! My people!"

A feeling of childish excitement washed over both of them, as Milim flew down to the gate where her city started.

Above her comfortable arms, he saw numerous polished stone buildings, streets busy with humanoid figures hustling about their daily lives, and in the centre, a large, Buddhist-like temple, made out of perhaps the most beautiful marble he'd seen. The sense of freedom Rimuru felt only increased as they got nearer.

Once they landed, Milim urged Rimuru to shift to his human form, which he did. He almost stumbled he landed on two legs, which caused him to blush slightly, and Milim to giggle cutely.

As they finally reached the gate, the guards turned to look at them- their faces quickly turned to shock. They'd never seen their tyrannical yet inwardly caring ruler so openly happy, especially when talking to another person. Immediately, they bowed deeply, genuine happiness in their voices as they said to their beloved Dragon Princess:

"Welcome back, Milim-sama!"
