The next morning Satoru got up to get ready for his last day of work. He'd sent his resignation letter yesterday to his boss and had to face the music. Tamura would be giving him a lift to work today as his car was still parked at the office.
Ciel had woken up earlier than him and ordered breakfast for them that arrived just in time for Satoru to eat before Tamuru arrived.
Ciel stopped him at the door and pulled him in for a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek before he left for his last day at work.
Alone now in the apartment, Ciel wondered what she should do before her husband returned home. Going out was out of the question when she only had Satoru's baggy men's clothes to wear. Feeling her stomach cramp, she went back to bed to lie down under the covers.
Her first period was uncomfortable, but not unwelcome. This body had been designed to be healthy and extra fertile to make conceiving Rimuru's children a 100% possibility. No errors were allowed. It was a bit unexpected that she would bleed not long after the body was made but also a good thing as it meant her new body was working as it should.
Ciel tossed and turned under the covers before sighing as it was approaching lunch time. She needed something to do. It was not in her nature to be idle. She closed her eyes and used her intrinsic skill All of Creation to search for an answer. It felt like it took almost forever which was annoying as she was used to accelerating the process by a billion times over. In reality it only took ten seconds and she already had a game plan in mind for the rest of the week.
First, Ciel needed to acquire her own clothing. So she made her way to Satoru's computer intending to do some online shopping. She picked out a couple of sets of clothing to add to her cart and selected same day express delivery. She paused as she tried to recall the details of Satoru's card when she reached checkout, and frowned, realizing that her human mind did not have the perfect memory as her original self and could not remember something miniscule as the numbers on a card she only glanced at once.
She huffed. How annoying.
"Ciel-sama."
Ciel jerked in surprise and turned around to see Diablo.
"I apologize for startling you Ciel-sama. Rimuru-sama mentioned that you may need this," Diablo handed her three black shopping bags.
Ciel opened it to find five sets of outfits, and a travel bag with a purse. Inside the purse were bank cards and enough paper money to pay for a month's rent.
Ciel nodded approvingly at Diablo, "efficient as always."
"Thank you, Ciel-sama. I've made preparations to forge your identity. All that's left is for you to get your ID. I've come to escort you to sign the required paperwork and to help with any shopping you need done."
"Alright. I'll get ready."
Ciel dressed herself into her new clothes and used a comb to tame her wavy hair. She chose to wear a white silk blouse, dark purple pants, and black ankle boots.
After allowing Diablo to touch her shoulder, he teleported them outside a classy restaurant.
Diablo explained that he had managed to get the Minister of Home Affairs bound tightly in his coercion, and that someone would be meeting them here to take her picture and discuss her forged history.
"You've been discreet?" Ciel asked as they were being led to one of the private rooms for VIPs.
Diablo nodded, "I've made sure that no one knew what I was doing."
They both settled at their reserved room and Ciel ordered food for herself. They were early and their company had yet to arrive. Diablo stood behind Ciel against the wall and facing the entrance.
Ciel was silent for a moment before speaking in a quiet voice, "it's good that you're being careful, but lay low from now on. Earth may be a world of ordinary humans, but there are surely otherworlders and Magic Born who have reincarnated among them. They may pose no threat to those of us from Tempest, but they can still cause annoying problems for my husband and I. Do not be complacent just because we have the upper hand."
"Yes Ciel-sama. This one will do as you say."
A few minutes went by before the other party showed up. A surprisingly young man that looked to be in his late twenties was flanked by two men in black suits.
The young man stopped and stared at Ciel as if stunned by her beauty. He eyed her before offering her a smile that was too friendly. "Indeed I have never seen a more breathtaking lady in all my life. Such an otherworldly beauty is very rare to see in this world. I'm Kaneko Mizuki. I feel very lucky to meet you Miss?"
Diablo stiffened and stepped forward to stand right behind her and Ciel cast an icy gaze at the man that was void of emotion. "Ciel Tempest."
Not discouraged, the young man took a seat opposite her, "That's not a Japanese name. Are you a foreigner? You look Japanese though. So perhaps you're second or third gen Japanese?"
"That's none of your concern."
"No I suppose not. Ah forgive me. It's not every day that our dear Minister has us do this sort of thing. I'm very curious how you managed to convince him. It's quite unlike him actually. But orders are orders." Mizuki says and calls one of the servers to take his order before opening his briefcase. He took out a stack of papers and a camera.
"Ciel-san, if you would please?"
Ciel allowed them to take her picture. However, her eyes did not miss the way one of the men in black tapped at the watch on his wrist. She had already thought Mizuki was a bit strange. His words as well as the way his eyes flicked to Diablo every now and then felt off.
"Now," Mizuki clicked his pen, "your history. What kind of life would you like?"
Ciel had already thought about this so she wordlessly held up her hand. Seemingly out of nowhere Diablo passed her pen and paper and she began to write.
Ten minutes later, she handed her pages over to Mizuki before leaning back in her seat as if bored.
As Mizuki read he blinked in surprise and read it again. When he looked at Ciel, he felt a little speechless if not in awe of how her mind worked. "I seem to have underestimated you. Clearly, you are not just a pretty face."
"Mizuki-san." The way Ciel said his name had the man sit up straighter.
She stood up and walked around the table. The men in black twitched but did not move.
"Let me tell you something my Master once said, 'Power without ideals is rubbish, and ideals without power is pointless.' I suggest you think carefully about your next move before you make a very big mistake."
"Is that a threat?"
"That's for you to decide."
Ciel left and Diablo followed her out.
A waiter rushed after them in a panic to tell them that the food was ready.
"No need. Put it in a doggy bag. I won't be staying."
Diablo, "Ciel-sama. What do you think of this Mizuki?"
Ciel huffed, "I think that he's part of our annoying problem. Diablo, you will not return with our original selves. Instead, you will stay with me and Satoru for the next year until we can find out more about these people. In the meantime lay low until we call for you."
"Shall I inform Rimuru-sama?"
Ciel paused to think, "Rimuru? Yes. Satoru? No. Satoru shouldn't be burdened with this. He is meant to create happy memories for Rimuru. You and I will work to take care of this problem."

"What's the result?"
"The tests show that she's completely normal. No traces of magicules whatsoever."
"Interesting. Why would such a powerful demon regard her so highly? Even willing to run errands for her?"
"Must have something to do with the 'Master' she mentioned."
"There's another thing. We've detected a large amount of magicules from the gold that demon exchanged. But listen to this, the name of the account holder the money was sent to is 'Mikami Satoru'."
"Mikami Satoru… hey isn't that the brother of-"
"Yeah. For his sake I hope they aren't the same person. It's a common name afterall..."

Original Ciel was in a state of complete bliss.
And how could she not be?
Her heart's desire had come true. Her Master, Rimuru, had agreed to marry her. He even gave her his surname, marking her as his family and equal. And now, they were on their date, walking hand in hand under red maple trees.
They stopped to get two hot bowls of soup being sold at a food stand. With the soup in hand, Rimuru led Ciel to sit under one of the larger red maple trees.
Ciel wasn't someone who smiled a lot. In fact you could say she had a resting face that could be described as stoic and at times vaguely smug or mischievous. But when it came to Rimuru, she smiled. And right now, she couldn't stop smiling.
"You're happy." Rimuru said, watching her.
Whether she was aware of it or not, Ciel had been unconsciously sending him impressions of her emotions and thoughts all this while. Not that he wasn't able to feel her before, but it was a bit different now. Before, she could only experience things through Rimuru's eyes or Magic Sense, now she was interacting with the world all on her own. For some reason, this made Rimuru feel like a parent who had just watched their child grow into an adult.
"Of course I am. You are with me."
Rimuru averted his eyes and scratched his cheek at the sincerity she sent him. She'd said such things before, but there was a part of him that had thought it was only because he was her Master. Never did he consider that she had feelings for him. Now she said it to his face and it was different. More real.
He squeezed her hand and stroked his thumb along the inside of her palm, "you make me happy too."
Ciel smiled brightly at him.
Ah she's too cute, Rimuru thought as he watched her sip her soup in small slurps.
They both finished their soup and enjoyed the scenery around them. A group of three arrived a little ways away to settle under a tree of their own. Rimuru observed them for a moment before his eyes registered exactly who he was looking at.
Ciel tilted her head to the side to see what caught his interest. The people were a couple in their early forties and a teenage girl. Rimuru's attention had fallen to the couple.
"Rimuru?"
"That's my Ni-san with his wife and daughter."
