There are unique humans in this world.

"Hey guys look, the elite transfer from Kyoto just arrived."

"Already? That was quick. Does he really have a special ability?"

Those whose souls are strong enough…

"Senpai said he's seen it for himself so it's definitely true."

...to even override the restrictions set by the world system...

"Hi everyone, I'm Mikami Kaoru. Senior Private Investigator and fellow agent of Void from our Kyoto branch. We'll be working together to ensure world peace for however long it takes to crack this case. Please treat me well."

...and gain a unique skill in a world of normals.

"Glad you could make it, I'm Kaneko Mizuki, Head Intelligence Agent. Please follow me and I'll fill you in."

The two made their way down a dimly lit passage into an elevator. Mizuki pushed the button to take them to the middle level of their underground floors which functioned both as a mini psychiatric ward and a prison.

"I heard that the devil has been making his rounds?" Kaoru said jokingly having read the report about the frightening black eyed demon.

Mizuki sighed, "He's done more than make his rounds. He's hard to track. One moment we think we finally caught up, and the next it's like he's on the other side of the city. I swear, I've never heard of such a big disaster waiting to happen in the entire history of our organisation. And our history spans thousands of years. Hopefully with your ability, we'll be able to comprehend his motivations."

"My ability has its limits," Kaoru reminded, "it's difficult to invade someone's memories when there has been psychological torture, I could do more damage to the fragile psyche if I push too hard and the person could slip into a coma and never wake up."

Mizuki, "We've tried our best in treating him. Unfortunately it seems that even before his torture this person has already been a certified psychopath. Do not feel guilty if you do end up shattering his mind. He's not innocent. A background investigation showed that he may have been involved in several bloody crime syndicates which are active in human trafficking. If we didn't find him now as the victim in this case, it would only be a matter of time before his crimes caught up to him. "

"So in a way, this demon has done us a favor by showing up?"

"Indeed so. Here we are," Mizuki stopped in front of the room holding the victim captive, "take as much time as you like and call if you need anything."

Kaoru nodded at him and stepped inside the room.

Everything in the room was so white one was almost scared to dirty it. The victim, a man in his forties, sat in the corner of the room staring into space with empty eyes and hugging his legs while rocking backwards and forwards.

Kaoru, "Hey you. Look at me."

The victim froze, but did not look and even turned his back to Kaoru. The man was unable to look anyone in the eyes since encountering Diablo.

Kaoru sighed, fine then. His skill did not need eye contact. Touch would work as well. He sprang into action and grabbed the man by the back of his neck.

"Mind Scry"

Pictures sprang up in Kaoru's mind. These were the memories of the man trapped in his grasp starting from the earliest memories of childhood to the latest of adulthood. Kaoru did not have the time to look through everything as there was another limit to using this skill. Because it took quite a bit of energy to use, Kaoru did not use it often, also he could only see memories for the duration of a few minutes.

So he fast-forwarded through the memories until he came to the day this man met the demon.

The man was running down the street with a knife in hand, uncaring of the lives of those around him.

A group of three stood in his way. A young woman, a young man, and an older man. Kaoru was horrified to realize that the older man was his own brother.

Dammit Satoru! Why'd you have to be there?! Did your bad luck with women seek into other areas of your life?! You better be okay. Kaoru felt a stomach ache coming on as he was suddenly nervous for his little brother's safety.

The knife aimed for the younger man. Before he could be stabbed, Kaoru's brother pushed him out of the way and the knife buried itself deep in his brother's body instead before it was ruthlessly pulled out as the murderer ran away.

Satoru!

It was no use though, as quick as the murderer encountered Satoru, he ran away from the scene even faster and Kaoru couldn't even see what happened to his brother. Whether he was alive or dead.

And then suddenly, the murderer was grabbed by his neck and thrown against the wall of an isolated alley. The demon pressed the heel of his shoe painfully against the man's chest bruising his ribs.

The demon's eyes were bloodthirsty.

"Kukukukuku scum like you dares to harm my Master. It's too bad I can't kill you, but I'll make you wish you were dead."

In an instant, the murderer's torture began. Kaoru hastily pulled out of the memories before he could experience it.

Kaoru blinked, and he was back in the white room. He almost collapsed to his knees from the energy drain he felt. He stayed a bit too long in the memories this time. The murderer layed on the ground by his feet, unresponsive and a pool of saliva by his mouth.

Kaoru felt his temper flare and he ruthlessly kicked the man's body before turning to exit the room in a rush.

"Whoa whoa, where are you going? What did you see?" Mizuki blocked him.

"Get out of my way."

"I'm sorry, but you can't leave yet. Not until you tell me what you saw so that I can finish briefing you on the case."

"That piece of trash stabbed my brother! Satoru might be dead for days already and I wouldn't have even known." Kaoru tried to step around him but was blocked again.

"Calm down. Your brother is fine."

Kaoru paused and searched Mizuki's eyes for any deception. He relaxed when he saw honesty.

"How do you know?"

"I'm the Head Intelligent Agent. I make it my business to know everything. Your brother is fine. He was released from the hospital a few days ago and he doesn't even have a scratch."

"Not a scratch? Like hell. I clearly saw my brother get stabbed by that maniac."

"Well, he was miraculously healed not long after by a blue haired woman. Here look," Mizuki pulled out the footage on his phone they managed to collect from the street cameras. It was blurry, but just as Mizuki said, a blue haired woman healed his brother with some sort of potion.

Kaoru relaxed. Now that his mind wasn't clouded by his emotions he could think more logically about the situation. The conclusion his mind came up with didn't have any good implications for his brother. Some way or another, his little brother had gotten tangled up with the affairs of otherworlders.

Hells thinking about it now, the 'Master' that the demon mentioned is probably referring to Satoru. But that didn't make any sense.

"Tell me everything you know," Kaoru demanded.

Ciel and Satoru

They did not go further than kissing that night.

For two reasons. One, Ciel was still suffering from her period. Two, Satoru didn't want to rush things with her. He knew all too well her propensity to want to do anything that made him happy without a care for emotional consequence to herself. Even though she seemed to really enjoy kissing him as much as he did her, there was a little voice in the back of his head warning him to take it slowly lest he regret it.

The next couple of days were spent taking care of business. During the day they shopped for things they needed and Satoru decided to buy a house in one of the upper class neighbourhoods of Fukuoka. The house they chose looked a lot like the residence he had in Tempest and he was instantly charmed by it and praised Diablo for finding it. They will be moving in the following month. Afterwards, he would find a tenant to stay in his old apartment.

During the night they would either cuddle up with good food and a movie, play a game, or read together quietly. Movies were something Satoru admits he's missed in this world as Tempest still had a long way to go when it came to producing films.

Before going to bed, they would make out heatedly and full mouth kisses turned into butterfly kisses that began to slowly explore the curves of their necks although their clothes remained on.

Diablo brought Ciel's ID the following Friday. With it was a forged birth certificate along with other documents that would make up her new identity such as High School records and a certificate. Overall, no one could say that Ciel Tempest, or "Igarashi Shieru" was not a native japanese. Her identity would be further cemented with their marriage as Mikami Shieru.

On that day, Satoru had noticed that Ciel was less irritable and her mood had lightened up considerably. During breakfast, Ciel happily announced that her period was over.

Was it just him or does she seem more determined than usual? Satoru wondered and could not help but subtly cast a wary eye at her when she wasn't looking. Her attitude gave him flashbacks of all the times she acted on her own and did something extraordinary like power up his subordinates or mess around with skills.

She's definitely done something, he just wasn't sure what.

Their other selves were long gone. What would be an instant for them would be an entire year for Satoru when they see each other again to pick Diablo up and touch bases.

And speaking of Diablo, he gave them their space and only made his presence known when he was needed. He seemed to get along pretty well with Ciel. Or rather, he seemed to respect her as much as he did Rimuru and carried out her requests with the same dedication as Rimuru's own requests. Which, Satoru was happy about, but it was a bit out of character for Diablo to find pleasure in being useful to anyone but Rimuru. One would think he already knew about Ciel all these years.

Once he heard them discuss the pros and cons of establishing Rimuruism as a religion in Tempest. Ciel didn't shoot the idea down, and even said it could be possible to completely make a complete transition from King to God in a hundred or so years. Before Satoru could firmly protest this idea, Ciel said, "But husband, I thought you wanted to retire from paperwork? Having them revere you as a deity means you can rule without having to do paperwork."

Suddenly, establishing Rimuruism didn't seem so bad anymore.

Whatever, let's not think too much about it, Satoru threw it to the back of his mind to ponder another day.

That night turned out to be a bit different than their other nights. Diablo left early and Ciel cooked them a delicious meal which Satoru praised her for.

"I made an apple pie to take with us when we visit your brother tomorrow."

"Thanks Ciel, I'm sure they'll appreciate it. I remember Mirai-chan has a sweet tooth."

After eating, Ciel looked up at him from under her lashes, "Husband, I have a surprise for you."

"Oh? What is it?"

Ciel smiled coyly at him, "go wait on the bed for me and I'll show you."

Satoru thought he had some sort of idea of what Ciel had planned. He'd be an idiot if he didn't. But nothing prepared him for what he saw.

Ciel's ears were lengthened and slightly pointed upwards. Her dark blue hair was loose and she wore a revealing outfit consisting of a thin see-through silk wrap.

Elf.

The word repeated in Satoru's mind like a mantra.

Ciel walked towards him in slow deliberate steps until she was straddling his lap.

She spoke in his ear, "Rimuru. You've been holding back on me."

Right back at you, Satoru thought and wrapped his hands around her small waist.

She continued to speak, her breath warm against his ear, "and that's very gentlemanly of you, but…" she licked the shell of his ear, "there's no need. I want you to take me."

And Satoru gave in.

That night, he was no longer a virgin.
