Chapter 9 Pre-Tournament saga
Goku, Fasha, and Chi Chi were now flying through the air, and over the ocean, as they were on their way to Kame house, where Roshi the Turtle Hermit, and Martial Arts Master, was supposed to live. With Goku, and Chi Chi, both leading the way on the Nimbus, remembering their last visit to Kame house, where they met Roshi there.
Chi Chi was blushing throughout their time, for two reasons.
1. She still felt ashamed of using her helmet blade on Roshi, giving him a splitting headache. (No pun intended.)
and 2. She was with her, in her eyes at least, 'future husband' on the Nimbus, as they were on their way to Roshi's place.
Which, Goku also blushed a little, when he thought about that too. After all, he ended up hearing about Chi Chi's intention of what they would be doing after the Tournament. Being that they would be married. Which had him feeling surprised at how forward she was starting to be with him, as well as having not expected her to be so willing to be, as what his mother would put it best, his mate.
And it would be regardless of how young they both seem to be.
Fasha felt surprised about it too, as she felt that she could figuratively tip her hat towards the Ox King for being willing to let Chi Chi do such a thing, and towards Chi Chi for being so bold enough to do such with Goku as well.
After the Tournament is done with of course. For now though, they were both looking forward to training together with Roshi, for the Tournament.
Which Goku, and Fasha felt excited about. The former, for the opportunity to show his prowess in the tournament. And the latter, for getting to witness such.
Which was echoed by Chi Chi, who was leaning heavily towards competing in the Tournament herself. She just hoped that she won't end up having to fight Goku to the death. But she doubts that killing is allowed in the Tournament. And of course, she was also hopeful that she was either going to win it, or if Goku would win it himself.
Either way would make her happy, since she would be oh so willing to either win this for Goku. But she would also be proud of him for winning instead, while she at the least, gave it her best shot in the ring to have him proud of her for the victory.
Or she would've also just spectated in the crowd, to see Goku fight, and gain victory against whomever fights him in the ring. Proving to her how much of a champion he is for her, sorta like a Princess seeing a knight fighting for her love.
As for why she was here, it's because she, was brought along with Ox King's permission, to go to the Tournament with them, as well as train with them for the Tournament. He just hoped that she won't get hurt by the training.
Which made her happy that she gets to train with Goku, and Fasha, on Kame island with Roshi. If to get stronger than she currently was, which was stronger than an average Earthling girl, considering her T-Rex kill back in the desert. As well as the fact that she's a warrior princess from her father's kingdom in Fire Mountain.
All while they were on the Nimbus together, with each other's stuff that was also on the Nimbus behind them, being storage capsules, blankets, and water. Not that they feel that Roshi doesn't have any food of his own. But in Goku, and Fasha's case, he might not have enough.
Which is why they packed their own storage capsules, which had large storage fridges to store their food that they'd devour throughout their training at Roshi's, as well as when they were training together, somewhere else, where they would train their tails, as well as their minds so that they'd remain in control of themselves when they transform into the Oozaru forms.
Not that they were hungry right now, since they already ate, before their flight to Ox king's castle in Fire Mountain.
As for why Fasha was here, and not in her Empire that she should be running, it was cause she had a temporary replacement to her throne, whom would be just as competent at running her Empire, as she is, while she's gone. Which she used before, when she, and Goku, went camping. And she felt that in hindsight, she could've used her more, when she would've been training with Goku, and went on a journey for the Dragon Balls with him.
But it was now unnecessary, and she knew that she could be used again, when the Dragon Balls are active again to begin her hunt for them, alongside Goku.
"How much further?" Fasha asked, keeping up with the Nimbus with her flight.
"It shouldn't be too far now, according to the directions that Chi Chi, and I took on the last time we got to that place!" Goku said, remembering going to the island with Chi Chi to get the Bansho Fan from Roshi.
All while Chi Chi was also confident that they were headed the right way for Roshi's.
"I'll take your word for it!" She said as she continued to follow Goku, and Chi Chi on the Nimbus as they both stood on it on their way to Roshi's. With Goku's tail, and Chi Chi's green cape flowing in the wind.
Which Chi Chi remembered having learned about, when she inadvertently grabbed Goku's tail, when she first met him. She had to admit, she's never seen a boy with a tail before, but she wasn't repulsed by that fact, as she merely thought that the tail looked cute on Goku.
Even though she also saw that Fasha also had a tail while they were at her home, and she moved it around while chowing down. Which did beg the question.
Are they some sort of people that are part monkey? Or are they not from Earth, but from some sort of Planet full of monkey people?
If only she knew, how close to the mark that she was, if she guessed the latter.
But she knew she might as well ask later, as they were now coming up to Kame House, that started to appear in their visions.
"There it is! That's the place we're going towards!" Chi Chi said, telling Fasha that they're getting close to him.
Which was much to Goku's joy, as he was sure that he still remembered where Kame House was, and he was happy to see that his memory didn't fail him, despite having turned into the Oozaru, and passed out from the strain, back at Pilaf's castle. Which, as another side effect, it also takes some of his memories too. Especially the memory of him turning into a huge monstrous tailed ape.
Thank goodness he didn't lose his memory of his directions to Roshi's home, as they were now flying towards it, until they were now at the island where the home is, before gliding towards it, then landing on the island after they were close to it, leading to Goku to take his stuff off of the Nimbus, along with some of Chi Chi's stuff as they now stood on the island together as the Nimbus flew away, ready to be called again.
Now the trio was looking around, looking for Roshi as they took in the sights.
"It's a good thing that I didn't expect this to be a mansion, befitting of the Martial Arts master, because I would've been disappointed." Fasha said.
Neither Goku, or Chi Chi were complaining though. As they looked around until they were able to find an open window, so they all looked inside the window, causing them to suddenly see that Roshi was inside, watching some TV.
"That's him Mommy. That's Roshi." Goku said to Fasha. Feeling that he could let Chi Chi know about their true relations, later.
Whom focused on Roshi as she didn't think that she was seeing a Martial Arts master, but an old man. Which she expected to see, remembering how old Goku's Grandfather was, as well as having heard about Roshi from him. And she remembered that he planned to have them meeting Roshi, had he not suffered an untimely death.
"So this is Roshi? He doesn't look like much. But he might surprise me, later on." She thought, remembering how skilled Gohan was in Martial Arts, while he was alive.
So she felt that Roshi could do the same, as they decided to enter the house through the window.
Where they quickly saw that what he was watching on TV, happened to be an exorcise video featuring plenty of ladies that was wearing leotards, whether with long sleeves, or having no sleeves at all.
Which had them all looking at him like he grew another head, when they saw what he was watching. Although Goku thought nothing of it though, as he tried to gain his attention. "Hello! We're here Master Roshi!" He said, trying to gain his attention.
Which didn't work that well, as he was distracted by the sexy ladies on the screen that was showing their near naked crotches, and their thong clad butts to his sight, especially as the camera focused on them. Which had him smirking perversely.
Which was noticed by Fasha, whom was wondering why he was doing that, even though she also recognized the kind of smile that he made, having seen it before on the other Saiyans that desired to get into her panties. Being the same ones she drove away, for Bardock. Which annoyed her at the reminder of those smiles. While Chi Chi also noticed, and was blushing at what she was witnessing from Roshi.
She was pretty lucky that the ladies on the TV wasn't naked. Or that Roshi had his… snake, out. Or she would've needed some bleach for her brain, (So to speak.) in order to remove the memory of the image out of her head.
All while Goku was blissfully unaware of why he was smiling as he watched some ladies on the TV dancing on mats in their leotards, as he continued to try to grab Roshi's attention.
"Leave it to me, Goku." Fasha said. Before picking Roshi up by his collar.
At first, he didn't notice that he was picked up. Until he then dangled his legs trying to stand up, only to suddenly feel the lack of a floor under his feet. Which brought him out of his imagination land as he suddenly got scared. "WAAHH! Why am I floating?!" He asked, panicking.
"You're not floating. I can assure you." Fasha then said before turning him around to face her glaring eyes.
Which brought a shiver up his spine at the sight of them, feeling that a demoness was looking right into his soul, to freeze it solid, like with his spine in a figurative sense.
He felt relieved that he had no need to go to the bathroom right now.
Then he noticed that Goku, and Chi Chi was also in the room with her, much to his slight surprise. "Hey there Roshi, how're you doing?" Goku asked, waving with Chi Chi.
"I-I'm fine. Thank you." Roshi responded. "Y-You can put me down now, madam." He then said.
Fasha ended up doing that… by merely letting go of him, letting him drop like an anvil.
"Oof! So I'm guessing that this is your mother?" Roshi asked Goku, getting up from his fall. Which was slightly difficult due to the shell he wore. At least it ain't his heavy one.
"Yep. This is my mommy." He said, avoiding saying his nickname for her, while smiling.
"And my name is Fasha. You may know me as the Empress of my Empire. As well as the Pink Demoness." She said.
"Well, nice to meet you Fasha." Roshi said, giving her a polite bow.
While he also noticed how pretty she looked, even as a mom for Goku in his eyes. But she looked a bit brawny, and intimidating looking. Which had him feeling that he could get clobbered if he did anything untoward to her. Not to mention how Goku would feel about that as well. So he felt that he should keep his perversion to himself if he wants to live.
"Anyways. We're here for our training now." Goku then said, ready to get trained by Roshi.
"And we hope, that we won't disappoint you, in our performance in the Tournament." Chi Chi said, determined to show her stuff for Goku.
"All three of you wants to train? Even her?" Roshi asked, a little surprised as he pointed at Fasha.
Fasha, Chi Chi and Goku nodded at him. "We even brought some stuff here. Which means we're staying with you, for a while at least." Fasha said.
Roshi felt that he should've expected this to happen when he said that he'd train the boy, as well as the Empress, and the Ox King's daughter.
He was suddenly reminded of someone else that he met alongside Goku. "Say, kid? Have you, by any chance, brought that Girl?" He asked.
Goku correctly guessed who he was referring to. "You mean Bulma? Not really. She went home with the desert bandit, according to mommy." Goku responded.
Roshi face palmed himself in dismay. He wished that Bulma was brought here, if only to make this upcoming training more worthwhile to him. At least he had Fasha here, whom he thought of as also sexy, in her own Amazonian way. But he wouldn't dare make her mad for obvious reasons.
"I'm sure that Bulma is back in her city, relaxing in her home after the journey she had." Goku then said.
While Roshi also felt that he should've expected that Bulma could've hooked up with the Desert Bandit that Goku told him about when he visited him for the fan, alongside Chi Chi. Whom Bulma, 'happened to be attracted to' despite the fact that he tried to rob them, according to Goku.
Little did Goku know though, Bulma, along with Yamcha, and Puar, was on their way to Bulma's home, after being left in the desert by Fasha. They were now hiking through the desert when they accidentally totaled one of Bulma's flying vehicles when they rode it through the forest near an oasis.
Now they were in the desert, hiking their way towards where Bulma's home town was, in West City.
Bulma still was steamed that she was left for dead in the desert by Fasha, after Pilaf's defeat. But she felt that the punishment was justified, and that it was her fault that she was left in the desert by Fasha, since she should've thought through how to take back the Dragon Balls from Pilaf.
She felt that she was lucky that Pilaf was unable to use his wish on the dragon, but she felt that she should've been faster in making her own wish on the Dragon, before the Pig Midget came along, and took the wish for himself.
And she remembered the giant mech that Pilaf used against them, that he was going to use to crush them all, had Goku not turned into the Giant Ape form that destroyed the mech, before Yamcha chopped off his tail to turn him back.
Now Pilaf, and his henchmen was now in Fasha's city, as captives, and slaves to her whim, as punishment for taking the Dragon Balls, while the Pig Midget was also in her city, as a captive, and possible servant, while Fasha, and Goku, were now training together, and Zennies to donuts, that they were having Roshi training them alongside Chi Chi, for the Tournament, as Goku mentioned to her during their trip through the desert to Pilaf's castle.
Bulma had to admit, she would like to go to the Tournament, to watch Goku perform in the ring, with the other fighters, including Chi Chi, while Fasha overlooks the entire thing. She felt that it would be fun to see, and she would be rooting for him, as well as Chi Chi, throughout their rounds together.
"I kind of hope that kid is gonna win, if he's able to. But I also hope, that this handsome Bandit can, too." Bulma thought as she continued to hike through the desert with Yamcha, and Puar. While seeing what looked like a wall of sand that was being made, while luckily for them, it wasn't headed for them. Which didn't concern them as they continued onwards through the desert, in hopes that they'll find a town that has a cab to transport them to her Home.
Little did they know, a small figure was making the sand storm as he ran at fast speeds through the desert. Although he was headed towards a different direction that isn't towards Bulma's home town. Instead, it was towards the ocean.
Back with Goku, Fasha, Chi Chi, and Roshi, they were in his house, continuing to talk with him about training them in Martial Arts.
"I can assure you all, that Martial Arts is no mere walk in the park. It's more harder than you believe." Roshi said to Goku.
"Do you think that my son's not aware of that? I did give him plenty of physical training after all." Fasha said.
"Besides. I don't mind doing the training. I know that I have to work hard to be stronger than even you." Goku said, inadvertently boasting.
Which left Roshi laughing a little at that. Finding the boast to be pretty amusing coming out of him. "Hehehe, you could learn some manners." He said jokingly.
Which also had both Goku, and Fasha feeling amused too, while Chi Chi was confused at what was so funny about Goku's inadvertent boast.
"But to be serious, my teachings don't come for free." He then said.
Fasha wasn't surprised about that, as she did have to pay her guards in service for protecting her, and her son from danger, if they somehow got to the halls that they walk through, catching them with their pants down, so to speak. And she also payed the tutors for teaching both herself, and Goku, about their world, its geography, the places that they'd go to someday, numbers, Etc. So she felt that Roshi is no exception to that rule. Not that she minds losing some of her Zennies in the process.
"Name your price, and you shall be given your pay, on the condition that you'll deliver your promise." She then said.
Roshi felt that he has little use for what he can buy with those Zennies. For now at least. "Oh, you don't need to pay, I just hope for something different."
As surprised as Fasha was at the response, she felt that at least she gets to keep some of the Zennies in her coffers. She'd probably use them to go to an amusement park with Goku in another city, since her amusement park was still being made. And she planned to create a legendary theme park of her city that people would die to get in, and put it to use as her get together with Goku.
"And what, pray tell, do you want from me?" Fasha asked.
"Well, it gets a bit lonely on this island, I admit. Sure I have turtle, whom I happen to have a camaraderie with, (By the way, thank you still, Goku, for saving him.) but he usually ends up in the ocean for long periods of time, leaving me here since I can't swim as well as I used to, for obvious reasons." Roshi said a little somberly. "That, and as we speak, he's on vacation. I need a Gal to keep me company on this Island, so I would appreciate it if any of you can bring me one. Then I would be happy to provide my training for both of you."
"But Roshi, there are two girls here." Goku said, noting Chi Chi, and Fasha.
"I don't think he means us, Goku." Chi Chi said. "I think he wants us to bring a lady to him, that isn't Fasha, or me."
Fasha hoped that it would be the case, as she didn't feel fond of perverts herself. Sure she wouldn't care if she shows her naked body, to even them, since none of her people cared about modesty on her Planet, but if they dare molest her, they're gonna get hurt.
Badly.
And Roshi knows it too. Which is why he would merely like to be with a different lady, who doesn't happen to be an Empress. And won't have the capability to rip out his spine with only one finger, when he tries to touch her breasts. Sure he'd take the hint, and leave her alone, and be polite to her, but he can't help it when his hormones get the best of him on occasions.
"Is that all? Or is there a catch to it?" Fasha asked.
"There is no catch. Well… only one catch, but hopefully it's only a minor one." Roshi responded, trying not to have Fasha believe that this is a waste of time.
Roshi was outside of his house, nursing his red cheek that had a little hand print on it as he was laying on the ground. Fasha, Goku, and Chi Chi was trying not to laugh at his misery that just happened to him.
The reason why he was on the ground, nursing his slap mark, was because there was a lady, that didn't seem to be receptive to his seduction. And ended up slapping him when he tried to get close.
Before that though, he was waiting for Goku to end up giving him a lady after sending him off, while Chi Chi waited alongside Fasha, for Goku to get back with the right lady for Roshi to date, if only to make up for the fact that Bulma's not there.
The first one went awry, when Goku brought along a fat, yet fit lady, from a circus that he went to, whom immediately took a liking to Roshi when she met him. After some cuddles, and some forced kisses that had Fasha, and Chi Chi in stitches at the sight of it, the lady got sent back, after giving her phone number to Roshi.
The second one, was much better, but it didn't end well. As Goku brought Roshi a more prettier girl that he can walk with, and charm. But here was where it got interesting, as he ended up being told, and ended up seeing for himself, that the next girl was a mermaid.
And a pretty one at that. Whom was interested in going swimming with him, since she couldn't really walk on land, for obvious reasons. While Fasha was surprised that there could be fish people on Earth as well, when she first saw the mermaid.
The World was full of surprises, in Fasha's eyes.
And yet, when Roshi tried to charm his way into her heart… it ended as well as both Fasha, and Chi Chi expected. With him getting slapped, before the mermaid dove back into the ocean in a huff. (Even though she did promise Fasha that they may meet again, to hang out, and probably show them, her home underwater.)
That was the one that slapped Roshi, and left him currently nursing his slap mark, while Fasha, Chi Chi, and Goku was laughing their asses off at that.
Especially since in Chi Chi's point of view, as well as Fasha's, he deserved that.
Once he was able to recover, he ended up feeling the mark fade a bit. "I get it, the lesson is to keep your guard up, and expect the unexpected attack!" He cheerfully said, thinking that this was his lesson, which even Roshi admits, it was a good lesson to teach.
All while Chi Chi, and Fasha was rolling their eyes at the scene, while both of them were smiling, feeling that Goku missed the point of why the mermaid just smacked him silly.
"Well, you've all learned well from that little lesson, that I feel that I've learned the hard way." Roshi said, inadvertently giving them praise.
Fasha, again rolled her eyes at that. While Chi Chi echoed the feeling with her own eye roll as she had to stifle her giggles. "What a doofus. It's slightly hard to believe that he was my daddy's sensei, once." Chi Chi thought.
Just as he was going to try to give out his second lesson, if so he could persuade Goku into giving him another lady to go on a date with, Goku noticed something off in the distance.
"Hey Roshi! Look over there, something's headed this way!" Goku called out to Roshi, bringing his attention to the ocean, alongside Chi Chi, and Fasha.
"Could that be Turtle? I should've known he'd probably be back so soon, like he must've forgot something." Roshi thought the latter sentence.
"No. It looks like there's somebody on a boat." He then said, pointing out the little shape in the distance that they all now saw.
Where sure enough, it was a boat. And there was someone that was on it, as he paddled his way to the Island of Roshi's.
That someone, was a small boy, who was bald, with six dots on his forehead, having sun kissed bright skin, and happened to be short looking. He wore what was basically a yellow short sleeved Chinese garb with the sleeves are folded to make it sleeveless adorned with purple straps in each sides, orange Chinese pants with a purple belt on his waist, white shins and toe shoes.
And he was paddling a boat to the Island, like he was on a journey. Which, he was, straight to Roshi's place, as he paddled closer.
Before he then felt that he was not too far from the Island, that he stopped paddling the boat, before he then stood up on the boat's floor, held onto a purple knapsack, before concentrating himself, and preparing himself for the jump that he was planning on doing.
Which brought confusion to the gang on the Island as they saw the boy starting to squat a bit, like he was about to jump.
Which he ended up doing, as he jumped from the boat, towards the Island's direction, showing that he was able to jump an impressive distance from the boat to the Island, while doing some flips along the way.
The whole gang was pretty impressed that he was able to jump that high, and far, even though they were just as confused as to who the boy was, and why he was jumping to the Island from his boat that was now floating away into the Ocean, as they wondered if he was going to make the jump.
Which, he barely did, even though he landed headfirst into the sand, burying his head inside from the fall.
It was an impressive jump that he made, but the head first drop had Fasha, and Chi Chi, trying not to laugh at the display of the bald kid landing head first into the sand of Roshi's Island, as the kid was now kicking his legs, trying to find something that can help him pull his head out of the sand.
Which was the sight that had both of them chuckling at the display. "What a dork." Chi Chi thought.
"Who's that goofball?" Roshi asked, confused at what he saw, alongside Goku. "I think you better help him Prince."
Goku obeyed, and pulled the bald kid out of the sand, causing him to gasp in his much needed air, while also coughing. Then he noticed Goku, as he had an annoyed look on his face. "Yeah, thanks." He said, in a tone that sounded less like a grateful tone.
Then he noticed Roshi. "Hey, you're the Master Roshi, aren't you?"
"People tell me that, yes." Roshi said, still feeling confused.
"And who are you?" Fasha asked the bald kid.
Whom, looked back at her, and ended up paling a little, looking like he saw a ghost, as he looked on in shock at the sight of Fasha. It seems that he has heard about the Pink Demoness.
Which is a reaction that Fasha enjoyed seeing from the Earthlings, feeling that it's a reminder of how powerful she's become, to where anybody she meets is bound to be weary of crossing her, even if they meet her for the first time.
"M-My name is K-K-Krillin! And I'm from the village in the East." He said. "C-Could you be that P-Pink Demoness that I've heard about?" He then said.
Even though he was also starting to blush a bit, at how, not only did she look intimidating, she also happened to be pretty sexy looking. Like even though she has the stare of a monster, she had the body of a goddess. Even though the goddess was a bit brawny looking.
"Indeed. My name is Fasha. And that would be my son. Goku." She then said, pointing to Goku, who merely waved back with a smile.
"And my name's Chi Chi." She then said, getting Krillin's attention.
He had to admit it, Chi Chi looked cute. Even while wearing that armor bikini. But he guessed that Goku could be her boyfriend, so he kept it to himself.
"N-nice to met you. But let's cut to the chase. I'm here cause I would like to be your student, that would learn to fight like you." Krillin then said.
"Well, I have to admit, you've come a long way. But I'm afraid I already have my hands full here." Roshi said, gesturing to them. "I can't merely train every boy that comes here like that. Sorry."
Though Krillin was disappointed, he suddenly had a look in his eyes, that looked to have a little idea. Then he pulled out something before bringing Roshi's attention to it.
Showing to him, that it was an adult comic. Which had a naked lady on the front of it, that Krillin held up to him while making sure that it's only Roshi that sees it.
Even though Fasha also had a glimpse of it, herself, as Chi Chi covered her eyes, while blushing in embarrassment. "Are they really posing nakedly in those books, although they aren't in baths yet? Geez, those female Earthlings are barbaric." Fasha thought, confused at Roshi joyfully taking the book, before reading it.
All while Krillin then focused on Goku. "By the way, you're her son? Then that must make you a Prince, right?" He asked.
Goku nodded with a smile. "You got it."
Krillin seemed annoyed that he's not gonna be alone in being taught by Roshi. Especially since, of all people, the Prince of Fasha's Empire, was also being taught by Roshi. And with his girlfriend, who was also getting trained by the perverted Martial Arts master.
But he feels that he might as well get used to the idea, since Fasha could resent him for trying to get rid of her son.
Once Roshi was done with the Magazine, he ended up pocketing it. "After careful consideration, I have decided that all of you shall be my students." Roshi said.
Much to Goku, Krillin, and Chi Chi's excitement as they started to celebrate. While Fasha was also delighted at the response that Roshi gave them. It seems that she should be thanking Krillin for the persuasion.
For now though, she, along with Goku, Chi Chi, and Krillin, would be bracing themselves for what is to come, from Roshi's training.
And done.
Sorry that this chapter is pretty short. I felt that this would be a decent segue-way into the training arc. And I needed to get this out to show the people that I still ain't finished with this fic, regardless of the other fics that I'm doing.
And the new ones that I'm making, and probably going to release as well. Let's just say that they involve Star Fox.
Also, I know what you're thinking? Are we meeting Launch? Someday she'll appear, just not now. She just had no role in the original Tournament arc. And I'm unsure of what role for her to take in this arc, and the red ribbon army arc. So for now, she's still out there.
Also, even though Roshi will still have his perv moments, I won't forget to show more of his badass teacher side, as well as his wise side.
