Chapter 1
Everything is consumed by a great fire
Corpses of mighty adventures littered the battlefield, their weapons and body parts scattered everywhere.
A large shadowy figure looming over them
It's a massive jet black dragon, with its one functioning eye staring at something or somewhere in far distance. It finally turned its attention once more to the battlefield where it had slain its challengers.
It made a sound akin like a snort, as if it's mocking the dead. It opens its mouth and let out streams of fire into the battlefield, burning the bodies of adventurers and their weapons into ashes. Satisfied with its handiwork, it flapped its mighty wings and took off into the sky. The force generated by that simple action was enough to create several twisters of wind that scattered the ashes away.
And Zeus jolted awake, quickly sitting up on his bed while sweating heavily
'A dream? No…it's all too real to be a dream…' Zeus frantically thought
The dream might be the accumulated nervousness and worries he had bottomed up for quite sometimes. How can he not be worry? Tomorrow, both his and Hera's familia will depart to challenge the Black Dragon and complete the 3 Grand Quests issued by the Guild.
As the head of a familia bearing the title as one of the strongest in the world, Zeus is careful not to show his worry and fear to the public, even to his own followers as it might affect their morale and conviction.
'That dream….is that what will awaits the children?
No! I can't let that happen! I won't send my children to meaningless slaughter!'
At that moment, Zeus made up his mind
He will cancel the expedition
Exiting his bedroom, Zeus called out the name of his followers
"Maxim! Zald!"
Around 5 minutes later, the 2 men stood in front of their god
"What is it old man….we really need all the rest we can get right now…" Zald groggily said
"Be more considerate to your followers please…." Maxim, the jet black haired captain of Zeus familia, sighed.
"A chance of plan. There will be no expedition tomorrow!"
Both men' eyes widened and before they can protest, Zeus let some of his divinity leaks out.
"That's an order!"
Faced with the divine will of the god, both men reluctantly nodded.
"The guild won't be happy with this…" Zald said
"And? We already slain the Behemoth and Leviathan. We don't need them, they're the one that needs us." Zeus coldly said
"What about Hera familia? I'm sure they won't be happy that you suddenly chickened out." Maxim asked
Zeus decides to ignore the mocking tone used by Maxim. They don't and won't understand the vision that he had seen.
After slaying Behemoth and Leviathan, the morale in his and Hera's familia is high. They're confident that they can slay the ancient black dragon, especially now that Maxim and Hera's captain, The Empress, had leveled up to Level 8 and 9 respectively. The cancelation of the expedition, without a doubt will cause some dissatisfaction and disappointment, especially Maxim as the captain.
"That's why I'm calling both of you here." Zeus said before he narrowed his eyes
"Maxim, I want to you to inform the rest of the familia regarding my decision. Zald, I want to you to tag along with me….we're going to Hera." The god ordered, leaving no room for argument.
Maxim sighed in relief, glad that it's not him that going to accompany Zeus to meet Hera.
Zald groaned. He can already predict Hera and her familia's reaction to this.
"Alfia? What's going on out there?" Meteria, laying on her bed, asked to her sister who just enter her room. From her room, the white haired beauty can hear the commotion and shouting match that currently occurring outside of her room.
"Zeus wants to cancel our joint expedition." Alfia shrugged, sitting on her sister's bedside.
"Cancelling the expedition? But why?" Meteria asked, surprised.
"I don't know. I don't bother to listen anyway. That perverted god is arguing with Hera right now." Alfia said with a small smile, her eyes closed. Some of her fellow executives are currently cornering Zald, interrogating him about his patron deity's sudden change of heart.
"I'm pretty sure that the expedition will be canceled. Without Zeus familia, it would be far too risky to continue on with the expedition."
"I see…to be honest, I'm actually really glad." Meteria grinned.
"Hmm? Why is that?"
"I'm glad that I won't have to worry about you dying."
"Oi…."
"fufufu."
The announcement regarding the cancelation of the expedition against the Black Dragon shocked thw whole Orario. The guild announced that it will respect the decision made by the two participating familias. The cancelation becomes a hot topic among the civilians, adventurers, and even the deities.
"That's surprising." Finn said as he read the pamphlet spread around by the guild. Loki and his fellow executives also present in his office.
"Indeed…I thought they already made up their mind. Zeus' members had been boasting about that in the bar several days ago." Gareth hummed
"So it must be a sole decision made by Zeus and Hera? As their members are also quite shocked by this development." Riveria said while Loki remains silent as if she's contemplating something.
On the other side of the city, a certain boaz warrior can't hide his surprise while his goddess also remains silent.
And so, 2 weeks passed since the shocking announcement. Until….
"JASON! You impregnated a member of Hera Familia!?" Maxim shouted as he shook a black haired Level 4 supporter of Zeus familia
"I-I am?" the supporter, Jason, asked
"That's my boy!"
"Not now, Zeus!" one of the executives, Ajax, yelled
"Who is it!?" Maxim asked of Jason
"W-well, I've been secretly dating M-Meteria…"
"Hera's favorite child!? We're screwed!" another executive which is a cat-person, Caesar, face-palmed.
"Should we prepare for war?" Zald asked of Maxim
"Can we solve this by surrendering Jason to Hera?" Maxim replied with bloodshot eyes.
"O-oi!"
"S-sorry for interrupting the meeting! But Hera's executive, Alfia, is closing in on us!" a Level 5 member informed as he barged into the room
"Damn it! Zald! Ajax! Stop her!" Maxim ordered
"Fuck you! Do it yourself!" Ajax exclaimed
"Yeah…I'm not going to let myself be killed for Jason." Zald nodded
They heard the commotion outside of their home-base and suddenly…
'Gospel.'
A settlement is finally reached between Zeus and Hera familia. The child will be a member of either Zeus or Hera familia which depends on the gender the child. The child will be raised by Hera familia regardless of the gender. This one is non-negotiable, as both Hera and Alfia vehemently rejected the idea of perverts like Zeus and Jason raising a child.
And so, a war between the 2 top familias is averted
Few Months later
After a hard labor lasting nearly 5 hours, the baby's finally born. It's a boy with red-eyes with a trace of white hairs on his head.
The baby is currently being breastfeed by Meteria, while Alfia is sitting on a chair next to her.
Jason actually accompanied Meteria during the labor, but had ran away by jumping through the window when Alfia decided to enter the room. The male is still terrified of his 'sister-in-law'.
"He got his eyes…" Alfia muttered
"Yeah, it's very pretty isn't it?" Meteria said with a smile
"…."
"I see that you're doing well." A woman said from the doorway, catching the attention of both Meteria and Alfia.
It's a woman with the same height as Alfia, with long braided golden hair and emerald-colored eyes. The Empress, Europa, and the Level 9 Captain of Hera Familia.
"Thanks Europa!" Meteria chuckled while Alfia narrowed her eyes.
"Have you decided on his name?" Europa asked
Meteria have been very secretive with the name that she had picked for her child, not telling anyone including Jason and Alfia.
"I am." Meteria nodded before turning her attention to her newborn child
"Bell Cranel. That is his name." Meteria giggled as she lightly poked the baby's cheek, causing the feeding child to whine in protest
Europe nodded while Alfia's expression soured when she heard the boy's last name.
On that day, Bell Cranel is born and his story is about to begin.

I suddenly have this idea in my mind this morning, so I decide to write about it. Note, almost all of the characters (The only members of Zeus Familia we know about is Zald, Maxim, and Bell's unnamed father while from Hera Familia we only know about Alfia, Meteria, and the Level 9 Captain) are non-canon and entirely made up.
