Prompt: Visit
Two days passed before Rin's fever broke and she was on her way to recovering, no smallpox symptoms and Kagome was super relieved.
Sesshomaru asked everyone to keep to themselves for one more day and to keep within the boundaries of the fortress, they were not letting any more visitors in, or vendors from the village below which started seeing cases among the young and weak.
The estate had an entire basement of extra supplies, so Sesshomaru wasn't too worried about cutting off his materials supply from travelling merchants.
Rin was visited by Hiro the next day, he apologized profoundly to her for letting her go out when she was unwell.
"Hiro-san, I did not know I was unwell until it came on so suddenly. If anyone is to apologize it's me, your arm was injured because I fell" Rin contradicted and apologized to him. Broken limbs were very problematic for men, as it was their livelihood at stake.
"This won't ruin me, I'm a noble after all, and it would have been rude and dishonourable to let a lady fall from a stead" he replied laughing lightly.
She lightly smiled at him, though a bit forced.
"It is regrettable we couldn't spend more time together, as it's Keisuke's turn next, but thank you for visiting me" she then told him, hoping he would see her gratitude.
Hiro took her hand and held on to it for a while while they chatted for a bit into the afternoon.
Keisuke was biding his time, he had two days to convince Rin that he would be the right choice.
They had history and he had always doted on her when she was young. It was only recently he began to see her as a woman. He was a bit regretful that she wasn't older though, for he had been with another woman before she came along and though it was a mutual fling, for she was already married, Keisuke always wanted more.
When the opportunity for a mate, came up Keisuke wanted to be the one to win her over, Rin was beautiful., strong-willed and quirky. He thought it was going to be easy as she didn't know many other men of eligibility, but he suspected that she was growing feelings for the Southern Lord… would she still want him if she knew that he had another too? Or was she too naive to understand that sometimes chase happened?
Rin was happy when Hiro left, for it gave her some time to think about her choices and that in a matter of days, she would be down to picking one of the 3 candidates.
She was very interested in hearing more wisdom from Lord Itsuki, there was something about him that made her think she didn't understand love at all.
She envisioned what their future would look like, and although she wasn't wanting riches or title, she just wanted someone to love and understand her.
A/N: It's a bit later in the day than I normally post but it's up :) Super glad I have written ahead for unfortunately I have no computer at work at the moment, where I normally write up a chapter in any spare time. Thank you for all the reviews that came pouring in last week, honestly, it caught me off guard but I'm glad you are enjoying our adventure so far.
