Prompt: Mistake
Naoki escorted Kagome to dinner and it was a small gathering of just them and some other lower noble demons who swarmed Naoki with boring talk about this and that.
Kagome slid into the background, and ate her helping, thinking she would just go back and sleep. She was growing a bit tired from all the running around and emotional crying that afternoon. She wasn't needed anymore and would figure out what she was going to do next.
To her surprise, Naoki pulled her over to him and introduced her to everyone.
"This is as you may know, the Lady Kagome, Shikon miko. I made her acquaintance this month and she is quite knowledgeable" he introduced proudly.
Kagome didn't pay attention to what they had been talking about so she felt a bit lost in conversation but soon enough she found out they were talking about a battle that she had read in a textbook once.
With wine in hand, and delightful conversation, Kagome was distracted enough to be feeling like who cared what Sesshomaru did, she was having a good time.
Naoki saw she had drunk too much and insisted she stop and he would escort her to her room.
Kagome was a talkative drunk and too giddy. Halfway up to her room, she toppled over and he just picked her up and carried her instead.
When he set her down and bid her goodnight, she pulled him to her and kissed him, before dragging both of them into her room.
The next day, Kagome found herself alone, and had a killer headache… then she remembered who she tried to sleep with and groaned… Did they do it? She blacked out after dragging him into her room…
That was the last time she would let herself go wild around demon's… but she did promise him that she would go to the ball with him so she better at least keep her promise and apologize for her actions…
Rikka was disappointed to see Kagome in such a state. She had heard from other servants of her wine stories after dinner where the nobles gathered for gossip. Lord Naoki was nice enough to escort her back to her room afterwards…
"Milady, it's time to get ready for the ball, for I assumed you were going, after the rumours I heard about last night." Rikka commented dryly.
Kagome groaned from her spot on the floor.
"Whatever you heard is probably a lie, I didn't do anything criminal" she spoke softly, wanting to believe that statement.
"Regardless of what's true, I'm not sure Milord will be happy when he hears about it but let's get you ready, who asked you to the ball? Lord Sesshomaru I hope?" she continued, more happily.
"Lord Sesshomaru is probably taking Lady Miyuki after their time in bed yesterday… and I will be attending with Lord Naoki this evening." Kagome revealed.
Rikka was shocked, she had smelt heat on the lady yesterday but she didn't know her target had been Sesshomauru… and poor Kagome who walked in on them.
"I'm sorry Kagome… Milord is indeed obligated to cater to her for now. She's on her moon cycle" she said sadly.
Kagome knew that meant that Sesshomaru may have gotten Miyuki pregnant and until everyone knew she wasn't… Miyuki was under his protection and interest... For any child would be heir to the West…
A/N: I know this looks like I'm aiming towards an OC plot… but it's all part of my master plan everyone… roller-coaster is just starting but some good stuff is coming for our main cast.
