Kagome stormed back up to her room, wanting to forget that she even had feelings for the Lord of the castle, he had made his choice and she had options.
Rikka was waiting for her with a lovely blue kimono.
"I had this prepared for when I ordered your other kimono earlier this month…" she trailed.
Kagome thought it looked lovely but it was Sesshomaru's colors…
"Is it possible to find a kimono in the Northern colors?" she asked quietly.
"Unfortunately there is not enough time to ask the seamstress to prepare," replied Rikka nervously.
"Do you know if she has something in Purple? Green is their main color but they have undertones of purple and well I want to make a statement…." she contemplated out loud.
Rikka drooped visibly.
Kagome had her work on the other elements she had pierced together, and she went and saw the seamstress herself for input.
She told her the idea she was going for, and luckily she had something in storage.
Kagome wasn't one for beauty or going out of her way to impress others with her appearance, but something told her tonight was going to be one of the best nights she's had in a long time.
Naoki opened the door to find the local castle seamstress, Ichika, who asked him if she could borrow some northern pieces…
"Who wants to dress in northern clothes? I'm afraid most of the pieces I have on me are in use by my sister tonight, as you know she is an honored guest and representing Lord Kiyoshi tonight…" Naoki explained to her, confused.
"Lady Kagome, is preparing a surprise, and asks for your permission to be your esteemed guest tonight, sir" she answered wistfully.
Naoki's confusion disappeared, so Miko was wanting to proclaim his intent? He had just the piece…
He gave Ichika an elegant hair ornament that looked like purple wisterias. And a elegant green ornament comb.
"These are my late mother's, the Lady Hanami's most treasured pieces, please tell her that they mean a lot to me and to take care of them, I'll let her borrow them for now." Naoki told her as she left to return to her mistress.
Kagome was surprised at how royal these hair pieces looked. Well she guessed they were practically demon royalty… She promised she would take the utmost care of his gifts.
It took all afternoon to get dressed, make up applied and her hair spun up and put into an feudal era updo.
Kagome had parted her bangs to the left with some long entrails on either side of her ears, similar to Kikyo. She then created a volumized bun in three parts, she layered bunches of Camilla's and weaved golden pieces among them, and in the center she wore the hair pin and comb from Naoki. She wore an elegant violet hued kimono with silver lilies and black butterflies with a gray obi decorated with geometric designs, similar to Rin's childhood kimono. Her under kimono was navy blue and white. Her geta were onyx black with blue fabric. She dyed her lips blood red, and used some feudal concealer, that made her skin shine mutely, for her eyes she mixed an black outline and her wings red, if she had painted her face white, she would resemble a geisha from modern times.
Awaiting her escort, Rikka opened the tatami screen to her inner rooms announcing Naoki's arrival.
A/N: A bit longer than normal, for I had to include her outfits description. She is such a gorgeous woman guys, oh I can't wait for everyone to see her!
