Sesshoumaru sent off the formal letter of negotiations to take place at the fortress and that the Northern envoy should arrive as soon as possible. He outlined in there what the Western land stance was, and that they were willing to give Miyuki the title of mother of the heir and allow her to keep the child in her care until they turned 100 in which Sesshoumaru would then take over their formal education in preparation in taking over as the new Lord of the Western Lands when they came of age. Sub clause, if a female child than being given the title of Princess and still given a formal education but he would then prepare for a formal engagement suited to both cardinal Lords. Terms beneath the main concern of the child outlined what the West was willing to discuss in other political matters already arranged between them.
Kagome was taking daily lessons from Narumi in demon customs, etiquette and ways she could appear powerful in the eyes of other people in court and all of their demon allies, ways she could protect herself from their enemies and not solely rely on Sesshoumaru to represent her… It wasn't as easy as she thought, given she thought she already proved herself to be powerful, in defeating the more nuisance half-demon in all of Japan. This helped but didn't pursue all demonkind that she wasn't still just human and they could easily kill her.
A throb of pain shot through her leg as she yelped in pain before glaring at her mentor.
Narumi held a bamboo cane with reeds soaked in a hardening substance to make them more solid. They were running out of time and although she felt a bit bad for her son's new human Miko wife. Kagome needed to understand that she was trying to help her maneuver demon politics, not all lords or nobles in any region wouldn't think of physically intimidating her and catching her off guard… they may even find it entertaining injuring a lady of unsuitable origins…
"Again" she commanded coldly.
Narumi was training her to fight off offending whelps if they dared to think they could disrespect her and try and injure or even molest her, a very unpleasant thought but sadly possible.
Using her real speed, Lady Narumi caught Kagome's leg with one of her reed's strands and flipping her off her feet and rolled away, taking hard landing, and easily appearing close to her and flicking her forehead.
"You were lucky so far, with Inuyasha always protecting you and having demons underestimate you, they stall because they like to play… but now as a Lord's wife and having defeated Naraku, they will do harm to you with no toying… stop hesitating and fight me seriously, girl!" Narumi hissed annoyed with how easily she was catching her off guard.
A Fury built from within and Kagome glowed a light blue before she took her seriously.
Nocking an arrow she shot, already knowing demons could easily dodge her arrow one on one. Using her unlocked powers, the arrow disappeared 2 feet from the spot she shot it, anchoring on Narumi's demonic aura… like with Naraku, it pierced her front side and she howled with slight discomfort, distraction achieved, Kagome vaulted off some furniture and got close enough to her to hold a reiki aura filled hand to her neck.
"Yield" she demanded forcefully.
Narumi smirked, glad to see her finally serious and escape her ploy with her lightning speed and using an energy whip from her claws like Sesshoumaru she forced her backwards with the momentum of her attack straight into Sesshoumaru's waiting arms as he entered the dojo.
"Mother?" he growled slowly not impressed to see bruising on his mate, he knew the moment she landed her first attack as he felt Kagome's throbbing pain.
"I know you felt her pain but what do you think she will go through if someone seriously decides to take what is yours….son," Narumi asked lowly.
Not answering her, for he knew, he only asked her to stop for today. She submitted.
Escorting Kagome inside and straight to Rikka, Sesshoumaru paused feeling something off with her but not sensing anything else, decide to ignore and wait for their healer to take care of her.
A/N: yes a but of an action scene XD and no Kagome isn't seriously injured just roughed up a bit to get a taste of what an actual attack could be like…. As she is now a walking target, demon kind won't underestimate her anymore.
