I do not own Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman or Rosario Vampire

AN: Hello readers. Here is another Fanfiction of mine. My other stories are listed at the bottom of the chapter

I have had a love for Teknoman/Tekkaman Blade since it was first aired on UPN. I had some issues with the ending though. It was very bitter sweet. He saved the world, but at a terrible cost. I get why they thought he was better off the way he was, but I wanted better for him. I had to figure out a way to make things better for him and I decided on the loving Kurumu from Rosario Vampire. I really loved her character the most out of all of the girls from the series (With Ruby in close for a tie).

Things to keep in mind:

- The Kurumu in this story will be a couple years older, so she will not be in high school anymore because she had already graduated.

- Tsukune went with just Moka.

- This story takes place after the death of Shara and the destruction of the first space knights command center in the Teknoman/Tekkaman Blade series (between episodes 26 and 27 of the American version).

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy. I will try to update this when I can, but I have 2 other main stories that I am also writing.

Chapter 1

Mate Of Fate

A blue-haired girl walks down a dorm hallway. The hallway is the faculty hallway of Yokai Academy. The same school she had graduated from with her mate of fate Tsukune. It was summer, so there was hardly anyone else around the academy.

She had on a burgundy colored skirt that went down to almost knee height. She also had on a white button-up shirt that accentuated her ample bosom quite nicely. Over that, she had on a long black coat that also went down to about knee height.

The normally cheerful girl was walking down the hallway in an uncharacteristic mood. Her steps were slow. Her mind was confused. Her skin was pale. There was also such a sad look upon her face that her mother would never ever wish to see.

Her mind was flooded with all kinds of thoughts.

'Will she be able to help me? Am I wasting my time? Should I do this? What if he changes his mind?'

She continues this train of thought all the way up until she reaches the door to the person's room that she wants to see.

She stops and stares at the door, looking for the right answer to her question.

'What's going to happen to me if I don't do this? What's going to happen to me if I do?'

Her eyes begin to water and a tear streaks down her cheek.

"Dammit, Tsukune." She mutters softly.

She gives a sniffle and she raises her hand to knock on the door.

Hesitation stops her just short of knocking, but a moment later she taps on the door three times.

Within the silence that comes after the knocking, she almost turns around. But then she hears the sound of the door unlocking, and it slowly creaks open.

The tall woman inside the room peers into the hallway. She is wearing her pink corset top along with her long black skirt that has a white stripe at the bottom. Pink fingerless gloves run up her arm. Her long black hair has twin tails on either side held up by white ribbons.

She gets a startled look when she sees Kurumu outside of her door.

"Kurumu?" She states in a slightly worried tone after seeing the state of her friend.

Kurumu gives her a fake smile and a nod.

"Hey, Ruby."

The lack of life in her voice was less than appeasing to Ruby's worries.

She gives Kurumu a hug.

"Something tells me that this is going to be a long story. Why don't you come in."

Kurumu gives her another nod and walks in.

Her eyes get greeted with the site of something that looks nothing like a dorm room. The room is more like a mixture of a library, laboratory, and an apartment. Part of the room has a set of bookshelves that go all the way to the ceiling and are filled with books. A table is also there that is like a makeshift desk.

There is an area that is filled with jars, boxes, beakers, and pouches filled with a large variety of substances.

Another part of the room has the apartment feel to it with a small kitchen area, a partial bath, and a full-size bed.

Its size slightly surprises the succubus.

"This is a rather large place."

"Helping the headmaster has its perks."

She gives the witch a little bit of a smile.

"That's pretty cool."

Ruby waves her staff and a chair slides over next to her bed. She sits on her bed, and she motions for Kurumu to sit in the chair.

"Why don't you tell me why you're here. It doesn't look like you came here just to visit."

"I'm sorry. I wish it were under better circumstances myself. I am getting desperate and you were the only person that I could think of that could help me. I need a new mate of fate."

Ruby stops dumbfounded in her tracks and stares at the succubus before her.

'I kind of saw this coming, but it is still startling to hear her actually say it.' The witch thinks.

Kurumu continues on.

"I can't do it anymore. I just can't do it." She says frantically.

"But I thought that you were happy just being by his side."

The distressed girl shakes her head back and forth as she fights her tears.

"It was a lie. It was all just a lie. I kept saying that just to convince myself that I was happy. I can't live that lie anymore. There is no way that I could live the rest of my life like that. I will die if this keeps up."

She puts her head in her hands.

"Aren't we a part of his harem?"

"You know as well as I do that we're not. He has always somehow avoided our advances and he has never showed interest in a harem. He only has eyes for Moka."

Buby wanted to tell her that she was wrong, but deep down inside she knew that her friend was right.

"It's always Moka. Moka. Moka!" She shouts out in frustration.

Ruby quickly switches to being on the bed and embraces Kurumu as the succubus cries into her shoulder.

"Okay, Kurumu. I do understand. You're right about Tsukune, but what is it that you think that I can do for you?" Ruby replies with a very calm voice to ease her friend.

Kurumu slowly (and begrudgingly) pulls away from Ruby and wipes away her tears.

"Can't you cast a spell or something that will just take me to a new mate of fate."

"What about finding a new one around here? Couldn't you try going on some dates?"

Kurumu shakes her head again.

"There is nobody else around here that I would like to be with. Nobody compares to Tsukune, but maybe there is someone else out there for me. There has to be."

Ruby ponders for a moment as she reflects on what her friend is asking of her.

"I don't know of such a spell, or if one even exists."

Their shoulders slump after her statement.

'I can't give up.'

"Please, Ruby, there has to be a way. Can you please try to do this for me?"

The witch looks into Kurumu's pleading eyes. She could see the despair and hopelessness in them.

She makes another attempt to try to appease her blue-haired friend.

"Are you sure that you don't want to wait a little longer? Maybe he will come around to the idea of a harem."

"No! There is no way that he is going to come around. He has been like this for the entire time we've known him. Besides, if I back down now, then I may never have the courage to try again. Or, I might even die before I get the chance."

Ruby takes a big gulp as she swallows down everything that Kurumu has just dumped onto her.

"I don't know how long this will take."

"I don't care. This is something I need to do."

"What about everyone else? They will be sad if you leave."

"I will be sad, too. I don't want to be without any of you, but I can't stay either. I will miss all of you. It won't be as fun without you, Mizore, and Yukari around. And . . . Tsukune."

She wipes another tear from her eye.

"Are you at least going to say goodbye to them?"

"No. I can't. Maybe I will write letters to them, but I can't have them trying to convince me not to do this. Please don't tell them about what we're trying to do either."

"Alright. I won't. I will do everything that I can to help you despite the fact the I don't want you to leave."

"Thanks, Ruby. Can I ask for one more favor?"

She nods.

"Can I stay here with you? I don't want to be anywhere else."

After a look around the room, Ruby gives her friend a soft smile.

"I will have to make a little room for you, but that will be okay with me. You might have to hide if the others come here though."

"I understand. Thank you."

"Why don't you at least pack a bag of clothes to bring here."

She nods.

The next couple of weeks go by rather slowly, but smoothly. There were hardly any interruptions by visitors.

Kurumu pretty much just stayed in the room. She stayed patient and hopeful. She kept faith in her friend that she will be able to help her out and find a way to help her find a new mate of fate. She mostly just rested on a cot that Ruby managed to scrounge up somehow (it was a long story).

She told all of their friends that she had to go back home for a while. She had told her mother that she was staying with her friends.

Each day she spent thinking about her life and everyone that is in it. Each day she also felt very tired and drowned down her own sorrow over her one-sided love for Tsukune.

Kurumu also used the time to start writing letters to all of her friends, including Tsukune.

Ruby relentlessly spent her time researching. Testing. And then more researching. She was determined to help Kurumu out.

One evening.

Ruby opens her door and walks into her room and closes the door with a smile on her face.

Kuruu looks up from a romance manga that she was reading to pass the time. She notices the smile on Ruby's face as she walks toward where she was sitting.

"I think that I figured out a way to help you out."

The succubus' face softens she gets a hopeful look on her face.

"Really? That is great news."

"I have been spending the past couple of weeks doing testing and research. My research couldn't come up with any previously written spell that fit your needs. So, I spent my time coming up with one."

"I knew you could do it. That's Ruby for ya! Ya-ha-hoo!" She says this while jumping into the air and doing a fist pump.

Ruby holds up a hand.

"Wait." Ruby says seriously.

Kurumu stops her rejoicing.

"What's wrong?"

The witch shakes her head.

"I don't know if it will even work. I have no certainty that it will do what we are trying to do. It's not like I have been able to test it out."

"Then make me your test subject."

"What if it kills you?"

She shakes her head at her dark-haired friend to dismiss her worry.

"I might die anyways if we don't do this."

"Are you really sure that you want to go through this?"

"Yes, Ruby, I am."

"Alright." She replies as she gives in.

The next day.

Kurumu spent the morning taking a long, hot shower in preparation. Then, she dressed into her outfit with the burgundy skirt and put on some nice perfume that her mother had once given her. She packed her bag. The letters that she had written to everyone were sealed and left on Ruby's table.

Ruby cleared everything in her room to the sides. She was now sitting on her table with tons of her research papers and spell books on it.

Kurumu was standing in the middle of the room with her packed bag at her side.

"Are you sure that you want to do this, Kurumu? After this, there is no turning back. I don't want you to leave, and I have no idea what exactly is going to happen from casting this spell. It SHOULD take you to a new mate of fate for you, but I could be wrong. I don't even know where you could end up."

The succubus gives her another reassuring smile. She also walks up to Ruby for possibly the last time in her life and gives her a hug.

"Yes. I am sure. Whatever happens, I will be grateful to you. I hope you find someone as well. I've had a wonderful time with you and everyone else. Thank you."

With that, she walks back to the center of the room.

"I hope you find your mate of fate with this spell."

Ruby hold up her staff and the jewel at the top begins to glow.

"Succubus Kurumu Kusano, let the red strings of fate that bind you. . "

A red magic circle appears on the floor beneath Kurumu. It starts off very plain, but then markings begin to fill in the gaps and the circle spreads out farther and farther out into the room.

"Guide you through the relentless space and the everlasting time. . . "

'Time? Space? What the hell kind of spell did she come up with?'

A mist begins to fill the room and electric arcs flash within the circle.

Kurumu frantically looks all around in worry.

'Is this supposed to happen.' The succubus worries.

"To find you a mate of fate other than Tsukune Aono."

The arcs of lightning change to a red color and begin to change into a shape that resembles red ribbons.

"Say goodbye to your current fate. ."

A dozen ribbons wrap around her. They wrap around her arms, legs, torso, and her neck. and she gets shocked by them. She lets out some screams. The magic circle turns completely black.

Even though she is slightly disturbed by what is going on, Ruby continues the spell.

"And begin one with your new mate."

Kurumu and her bag get pulled into the black hole by the red ribbons.

With a bright flash, Kurumu, the mist, and the magic circle are all gone.

"I hope that you are safe, Kurumu."
