Sakura was lazing around her house, her parents went on a business trip and she was bored. Her homework, chores, and groceries were complete for the weekend Friday night by 6 pm.

This was typical of her, She ranked one of the top, academic students, on the entire campus. Konoha high was one of the prestigious schools in the city and she had gotten in from brains alone, her family on the lower end of the wealthy kids that went here.

The Hyuuga's were number one, Uchiha's probably second and so forth, she did wonder sometimes how the dumbest kid in her grade got into their school.

The Infamous Uzumaki Naruto was something unique and eventually, everybody just accepted his weird circumstances until the school newspaper uncovered his true origins, he was the son of Namikaze Minato, the president of the school board… he was using his mother's name and no one had heard of her.

*Ping*

"Sakura-CHAN! OMG TEME, invited us out to his brother's farm tomorrow for a halloween bash?! He says he needs someone to cretict his new corn maze" a text from Naruto appeared.

She smiled for thought everyone thought he was dumb, brain-wise he was a good friend and entertaining, to say the least.

"Sasuke texted you but not me as well? Are you sure it isn't just you? Baka" she replied.

Moments passed before he replied.

He sent a screenshot of proof.

Sakura pondered the offer. Sasuke's brother was known as a genius when he was in school and could have made anything he desired into his career, she has heard that their parents hoped he was going for a lawyer, doctor or accountant…. And in the end, he dropped out of University, took out an agriculture loan and started building up a farm just outside the story and stopped talking to the family minus Sasuke.

Hmm could be fun and all of their closest friends were invited, maybe she could finally care Ino back for all those times she had caught her off guard at lunchtime.

Deciding to Facetime Sasuke after she texted Naruto. He picked up after the third ring.

"Hey" he greeted her looking towards the other part of his screen, must be working on an assignment or something.

"Is this a good time?" she asked, thinking he was busy even though he answered her call.

"Yeah just playing some LOL with the Dobe" he answered, then suddenly you could hear Naruto faintly yell something in the background, probably coming from his headset.

"Ah, well I was just texting him, and he invited a bunch of us with you to your brother's new place?"

"Hnh, Yeah I was going to talk to you all tomorrow but SOMEONE told you already" he emphasized talking to Naruto for a sec

Sasuke's screen shifted suddenly as he pointed "her" towards his computer screen and saw that they were also having a discord face call.

"Hii! Sakura-chan?!" Naruto greeted her happily not knowing he had blabbed.

"You told us before Sasuke dummy," she pointed out to him.

"Oh, I didn't know it was a secret, my bad sorry," he said to both of them.

"Well Sasuke since im already on a call, wanna tell us more about Itachi-san's new halloween attraction?" she asked sweetly.

Sasuke had explained to them that it was Saturday night, aka today since Sakura went to bed after their facetime.

It was a lowkey thing, as Itachi only wanted some input into the maze he had created.

His pumpkins were blossoming well and he was going to host his first harvest, maze and dancing in the empty barn he had. The property came with two facilities and he had his animals in one and used the other as storage for now as he was just starting out.

Itachi told Sasuke to bring the group of them by around 5 pm for a snack, a tour and then allow them to go through his maze and just hang out that night.

Deciding it would be spookier, the three of them decide on impromptu costumes and inform the others to dress up too.

Arriving first it seemed, Sakura rang the man's house's doorbell and she heard shuffling before a pair of onyx eyes pierced at her from the crack he opened.

"Hello Uchiha-san, I'm Haruno Sakura, one of Sasuke's friends" she explained hoping he would lighten up as she began to feel a tad uncomfortable.

Opening the door for her, he allowed her inside and escorted her to the dining room where he had set up bowls of snacks and pop cans, a punch and a jar of water for them.

"I'm sorry Haruno-san you just caught me going to change, wait here, if anyone else shows up please feel free to let them in as well," he asked before dashing upstairs.

Hearing the distant sound of the shower turning on, Sakura wandered back to the foyer where she decided to wait for the gang on Itachi's front porch.

She took a seat on one of his porch wicker chairs and scanned the area around her that she could see.

It was very typical, two barns, some mechanical farming machines, first signs of wheat in a nearby field, the corn maze in the distance and a quaint vegetable garden next to the house.

Itachi appeared haugered when she entered earlier and she wondered if he had any support while working hard to create this all? Besides his little brother?

Taking a closer look, she walked over the growing wheat field where there was an assortment of "scary" scarecrows all with jack-o-lanterns as heads with scary faces carved into them which was impressive and definitely spooky.

Suddenly a crow cawed behind her, making Sakura jump a bit. Turning she saw a small flock of three crows chilling on nearby barrels.

So Itachi had his very own 'murder?' Hmm?

Walking back towards the house, more people had arrived and Itachi must be down cleaning up by now.

Entering she bumped into Ino who was gushing about his interior design.

Naruto was texting their friend Sai.

Sasuke looked around shiftly.

And a bunch of the others fighting over a bowl of candy that was sitting on the dining room table that Itachi presented to her on her arrival.

More people arrived and no sign of Itachi returning downstairs…

"Sasuke… isn't your brother coming?" asked Naruto, whining now, bored waiting for their host.

"He is here, Sakura, weren't you the first to arrive? He prompted.

"He went to clean up upstairs and never returned," she told them, beginning to feel uneasy.

"Hn, that dummy, taking on a whole party by himself, I'll go look, Naruto… Sakura starts turning on the music and giving everyone the heads up that they can begin the tour, put them into groups and when Neji arrives point him in the direction of the barn, our DJ for the night, I'll be back in a bit" Sasuke instructed heading up the stairs to the dimly lit second-floor landing.

Doing as he asked, the party began, since there was up to 50 people who showed up, they arranged everyone into groups of 10 so to spread them out in the different areas Itachi had set up for the event, Main house, Barn, Corn Maze, Small outdoor carnival games, and 2nd barn were drinks, music, and dancing was happening.

Sakura went with the group that was going through the corn maze first and Itachi had outdone himself, there were some cool decorations at the fence gate and he had set up noise machines amongst the stalks, making scary sounds at different intervals that became unnerving.

Naruto wrapped his arm around hers and they ventured ahead.

Sticking together they screamed a few times as puppets jumped out at them in the dark occasionally and after a fake axe landed at their feet, Naruto abandoned her running ahead to catch up to Kiba.

"Naruto?! Don't abandon me! Baka!" she yelled after him but he was gone.

Alone she wrapped her arms around herself before continuing through, maybe she had gotten past the worst of it now?

Nearing the end she stopped to admire another one of the jack-o-lantern scarecrows, this one had interesting eyes with a pinwheel design carved into it and painted red like blood…

She heard rustling behind her before someone grabbed her further into the corn, screaming she flailed truly terrified now but it was only Itachi who was now dressed as a vampire lord.

He said nothing but caressed her neckline lightly before kissing her on the shoulder, teasing her with a light nip.

"Uchiha-san!" Sakura was shocked at his actions.

Looking up, she only saw illuminous red pinwheel eyes… she fainted.

When she awoke later, she was safely in the barn where the main party was being hosted sitting between Sasuke and Naruto who were drinking punch.

"What happened?!" She remembered her scary experience.

"Itachi spooked you too well in the corn, and you fainted. Nothing happened, he just brought you back here and asked me to watch you" Sasuke explained.

"Sasuke, he had red glowing eyes! How do you explain that?" Sakura asked anxiously.

"Contacts," he replied, smiling now.

She shrunk back, of course, it was halloween afterall.

"Damn, tell your brother he got me good" she replied now sheepish.

"Tell him yourself, he's over there" Sasuke replied pointing to the other side of the dancefloor.

Itachi had taken off his cape and most of his makeup. And was snacking on some of buffett.

Walking over Sakura appeared in front of him again.

"You got me good, Uchiha-san" she greeted.

"I'm sorry Haruno-san. I may have taken it too far but I was in character, you know?" Itachi apologized.

"Yes, maybe don't grab your guests next time?" she suggested.

He laughed, agreeing.

The next morning, after deciding to take Sasuke's suggestion on not driving home drunk, they crashed in the guestroom overnight and the next morning, Sakura woke up first and found Itachi having a quiet breakfast on his porch.

Itachi had changed into his work shirt and overalls, the stereotypical farming outfit.

"Good morning, Nice outfit," she told him.

"Thanks, it's comfy" he chuckled, understanding her dig at his boring attire.

"Do you need us to hit the road, you must be busy with work today" She suggested pointing towards where the boys were still snoring.

"Take your time, I'm not bothered by the company. Most of the chores were started and completed at 5 am" he told her calmly.

Silently impressed with his efficiency at time management, Sakura asked him if she could steal some of his coffee because the slight hangover was now hitting her hard.

Sitting across from him and nibbling at some leftovers, and a fresh cup of beans, Sakura had to admit from this angle and private leer into his personal life, Sasuke's brother was quite alright in her books and maybe she would come for the official opening of his autumn halloween pumpkin patch and corn maze spooktacular.

Writing her number on one of his napkins, she left it in view before going back upstairs to haul the boys out of bed and into her car to drive back to the city. They were overstaying their welcome even for Sasuke, his brother.

The boys grumbled and packed up their stuff before heading out to the car, and Sakura's phone pinged.

"It was nice to meet you Sakura-san. I hope you like apple cider. I'm making a fresh batch next weekend if you want to test some for me?" A text from Itachi read

She smiled, accepting mentally and making a note to herself to reply when they got back home but for now she steered the boys to her backseat and waved goodbye to Itachi who was now in his vegetable garden with his hoe.

A/N: Happy Saturday, I totally came up with a farmer, Itachi AU, that was more humorous, but I wanted a Halloween, spooky vibe for this story. Are you scared of corn mazes and jump scares?
