I don't own For Honor or Percy Jackson I only own my OCs

"Welcome back my loyal followers!" Slim Prime declared from his chair. "It is with great pleasure that not only do I welcome you to the next chapter that as of now Son of Fire is THE most popular For Honor story in Fanfiction! It is only because of you that we have come this far!"

"With that out of the way let us look at those guest reviews!"

NJred2000 (reply by Slim): I'm happy you understand. Well you see that sense was a little bit of a trick, Lana is her own class as she is a descendent of Apollyon so she is a "Apollyon" class, while the warmongers are more of people venerating and copying Apollyon. Remember what I say about soul gear and how it reflects the soul. In that moment Lana had changed her outlook on life and thus her armor changed to reflect it. Ah Gryphon I like the class and the weapon but putting him into the story is a bit difficult seeing as he is a Lawbringer gone Gryphon. This would mean for the story that at some point there were a group of lawbringers that changed into Gryphons… and I have to figure out the how and why of it… sigh. To answer your question no John will remain a Lawbringer, because despite how often Lawbringer gets shafted by Gubisoft he still holds a special place in my heart that I honor.

Sure it will come but there is still a lot of blood to march through.

(Rogue-eL) "Sure we can make it sappy and joyful but emotions come stronger when there's blood and pain. You're more likely to remember the pain of your parents disciplining you or your friends lying to you, then the joy of them hugging you or treating you like their child/friend." "Also it is really ducking fun." (yes I know I said ducking instead of fucking i just like that word better.)

It's very likely they will fight given how events are playing out, though it might be a verbal fight then a physical one. How that "fight" turns out we will just have to wait and see. Lana is the distant descendant of Apollyon who John befriended because he grew up being excluded by other children. He saw himself in her with the way the faction treated her as a descendant of Apollyon.

Yes, by now I have seen it and have had my butt kicked by light spamming enough times to wonder why I still play For Honor and just put it into the same category as Destiny. That is to say, I love the universe but the devs have no idea what they're doing. Oh they will don't worry.

Monster hunter (reply by Slim Prime): Thank you it's good to know that people are liking the story! The main characters from canon may show up. It's just that I like to write stories that are somewhat detached from the canon plot as I really don't like to rewrite the same story that has been told on a dozen other fanfics. X happens to Percy is done to death in my opinion but people like it so I'm not going to say stop doing what people want.

Guest 1 (Reply by Slim Prime): Thank you. I thought I said he had dark brownish hair. Did I change it at some point and not notice that I did? It has been a long time.

Guest 2 (Reply by Slim Prime): Oh no Hestia was his first Lawbringers really don't have sex out of wedlock. Even the other members of the knight faction really don't side for conquerors and gladiators now that I think about it.

Now onto the story!

We reached the base of the mountain, heading towards the Iron Fortress, by the time the sun had fallen beneath the land. Still, we had more than a dozen miles to go before we got close to the Iron Fortress and we had to rest before making the final approach. Lord Vortiger said it would be good for us to enter the fortress rested and ready for a fight if need be. So once we reached the base of the mountain Lord Vortiger ordered us to rest for the night, he was also kind enough to provide us with sleeping bags.

Nobody talked much after Russ, Lana, and I were all in our sleeping bags. I could only guess that they were tired too. Lord Vortiger said that he would keep watch throughout the night, so we did not have to worry about being attacked in our sleep. The ground was soft enough, but it took me a moment to get comfortable enough to drift off. When I next opened my eyes however I was not with the rest of the team.

I found myself standing on the wall of the Iron Fortress. The walls were in the same state as my first vision. The sky was still cloudy and dark in color. The thick mist still lingered in the lands around the fortress; the smothering cold soon followed after it. However, there was something different. Out in the distance was a thunderstorm ragging, to the west and east of the thunderstorm was an encroaching cloud of darkness with green particles blowing around in it. However just before the dark clouds and closest to the fortress was a small breach in the clouds letting a beam of sunlight shine down.

Before I could get a better look I found myself waking up with Lord Vortiger looking down at me.

"It's time to make our final approach on the Iron Fortress." Lord Vortiger said standing up. "We need to move now."

I nodded and got out of the sleeping bag. I rolled the sleeping back up and gave it back to Lord Vortiger who took it and tossed it back into a portal similar to the one we entered when we entered the Abyss. He did the same with Lana and Russ' sleeping bags before we began to move out again.

Most of the journey there was done in silence given that we all were looking around for any sign of trouble. None of us really felt like taking a moment to talk with one another. The Iron Fortress seemed too far away yet I knew we were getting closer as the fortress walls were beginning to loom over us even from this distance. Even now I could feel the pull of the fortress like I had in my first vision. However, the pull was stronger now that I was truly walking towards it.

Even Lana and Russ were starting to show signs of unease as we got closer. Lana would begin to breathe faster while swallowing once or twice every now and then. Russ would pull in his head as if he were trying to hide, his sword arm's fingers would begin opening and closing as if he were grasping at something. Only Lord Vortiger seemed unphased by the fortress as he kept a steady pace.

In the year since my Greek mother had entered the family she had spent some of the time we shared together on learning of my abilities I received from her. Summoning food was becoming easier and my control of my pyrokinetic abilities were increasing. She also showed me how to project feelings of serenity onto others, an ability she called Serenity Inducement. It allowed me to claim people around me at will, though while I could not do it as well as she did I was able to ease people.

Knowing this I began to make use of that ability I inherited from my mother. Its effects were almost instantaneous as Lana stopped having her heavy breathing episodes and Russ relaxed both his posture and sword arm. I saw a smile appear on Lord Vortiger's face, I could only guess he knew what I was doing.

We continued on our way as soon enough we reached the fortress gate. Lord Vortiger approached the gate and placed a hand on it.

"Never in my life would I imagine stepping foot in one of the Iron Legion's most famous fortresses. I had just been elected Lord Commander when news of the Iron Fortress loss reached me. Seems like such a long time ago." Lord Vortiger backed away from the door then turned to me. "If you would, Young Cross."

I nodded and approached the gate like before the gate began to open as I got close just enough to let me in. Lord Vortiger, Russ, and Lana entered first just in case the door closed when I entered it. The internal gates opened like they had in my vision as we came to them before falling shut with a crash. The final door opened like the first before and shut as soon as we passed.

We all walked into the fortress square but unlike in my vision the city was not littered with skeletons. The damage from a great battle was still around of course but the skeletons were nowhere in sight. After some thought I reasoned that might have been a part of the vision to show a lot of people died in the fighting, if what Lana said was true then the automatons could have buried them.

Lord Vortiger turned to me. "It is now time for you to lead us now, young Cross." I gave him a questioning look. "The Iron Fortress calls to you, while not officially by the legion this place belongs to you now. As such you are the one to led us guests through your fortress."

I might not have gone as far as to say the Iron Fortress was mine, but Lord Vortiger was right. The fortress would not open its doors to anyone but me so I was the one who could get to the main keep.

I nodded sheepishly before taking the lead of the group, in turn following behind me. We made our way through the fortress square heading towards the upper parts of the fortress. Like before we passed many damaged buildings, but no skeleton remains from my vision. After some time we approached one of the inner walls and the gate leading to the fortress keep. The gate opened at my approach and I waited for the rest of the group to pass before walking through it myself. The gate fell back down, and we pressed on to arrive at the entrance to the main citadel sometime later.

Unlike in my vision the large double doors had been replaced by a new set of blank wooden doors with metal hinges. They pushed open without any resistances allowing us to enter the citadel. My legs almost seemed to move on their own as I began to walk down the hallway, though I had no idea of the layout of the citadel I seemed to be navigating like I had been raised here. I passed hallway after hallway and ascended more than a few staircases, I was going so fast that my teammates were beginning to fall behind. Before long I came to another set of double doors, the same doors that led to the throne room. Without my fellow knights in sight, I walked up to the doors and pushed them open then stepped through.

It was just as it was in my vision, the signs of battle, torn and tattered banners and rugs, the fallen pillars, the throne, and the remains of the lawbringer which sat in the chair. The sound of someone banging on the door behind me reached my ears but I paid it no mind. I walked towards the throne as if in a trance. I walked over the damaged and dirty floor, crushing small crumbling prices of rock as I went.

*thump* (Do I hear boss music?)

I stopped in my tracks. My head slowly turned around. There about ten feet behind me was some kind of huge humanoid shape being covered in a tattered miss matched cloak. It was in a kneeling position, but even then, it still stood a good seven and a half feet above me.

"My apologies captain, I will remove this trash from your sight." It said in a distorted old male voice.

It then began to stand upright, the sound of cracking bones and shifting metal plates echoing from its form. At full height I had to look as far up as my head would allow just to maintain some semblance of eye contact, even though I could not see its eyes. A clawed armored hand reached out from the cloak, along with it a handle to a rusted and decrypted sword that dragged along the ground.

I summoned my soul gear just in time to be struck with an attack from the giant. I found myself flying across the throne room and slamming into the wall on the other side of the room. I fell to my hands and knees coughing up blood as I struggled to get air back into my lungs. Despite being in pain I managed to stand up in time to see the being moving towards me, its sword dragging behind him. My poleaxe appeared in my hand as I ran towards the giant. As it neared it began to learn back, getting ready to pull its sword forward in an overhead swing. Just as it lurched forward, I rolled out of its way in anticipation of its swing. Its sword crashed into the ground beside me and destroyed the floor.

I reverted from my roll and kept running. With my momentum carrying me forward I thrusted my spear head into the creature's cloak hoping to hit his leg. Before I could get close enough something from within the cloak shot forward hitting me and once again sending me flying into the wall. Unlike before I found myself wedged into the wall, my armor had protected me from most of the impact but I still felt blood gathering in my mouth. Not a good thing to be sure of. I managed to pull myself out of the wall and shakingly landed on the ground slightly dazed. The creature was once again moving towards me.

Seeing as my size put me at a disadvantage and that this thing was capable of moving lightning fast left me a few options. One of which was calling on my inheritance. Calling upon my pyrokinetic abilities I summoned forth a wave of fire aimed at the creature. The creature's head shot up but before it could react, finding itself covered in fire. Taking the initiative, I channeled a more concentrated blast of fire towards the creature as it was covered in flames. The resulting hit caused the creature to stumble back. Just as the creature was nearing the throne it suddenly jumped performing a single black flip to avoid hitting the throne. It landed in the middle of the room, kneeling on one knee. Its cloak looked signed but not necessarily worse then what it had started with, a few small flames still burned on the cloak but it did not seem to mind them.

A feral growl escaped from the creature's throat as it stood once more. Clearly it did not like being set on fire. I soon learned that this was not the case. Crunching inward the creature let out an ear-piercing roar that could only belong to a monster that called hell its home. The creature's hooded head shot towards me before it charged once more. It sidestepped the throne as it was closing in before it threw an upwards horizontal slash my way. Seeing as the attack was coming so fast, I dove over the blade hoping I could avoid the attack just as it was coming upwards. The deadly blade grazed my chest plate as I sailed over it, I angled my shoulder forwards to roll back to my feet from my dive. Now in the creature's guard I aimed a fireball at its face, then another into its chest.

A wave of its arm from underneath the cloak pushed away the flames from its sight but I had already moved. Now behind the creature I used my strength to jump on the creature's cloak and climb up. It did not seem to notice me given that it was looking around for me. Once I reached its shoulders I stood and drew back my poleaxe. With all my strength I swung my weapon into the creature's neck. The axe head cleaved into the cloak passing through it and striking the being hiding beneath it. I must have stuck flesh as the creature began to cry out in pain and attempted to shake me off.

The axe head must have gotten lodged in the creature's body as despite its attempts to shake me off my poleaxe provided me with a firm object to hold onto. However, as the creature tried to shake me off, I noticed that its hand was coming up as if to slap me. Seeing the opportunity, I let go of my weapon leaving it lodged in the creature's neck. I jumped down just as its hand was coming down. Once more the creature screamed in pain as my plan worked.

I tucked my body into a roll as it hit the ground to help absorb the impact. I turned back to see my poleaxe had been pushed in further to a point where only the shaft was visible. The creature grabbed the foreign object and ripped it out, blood flying out as the axe head was torn out of its body. I resummoned my poleaxe to my hand just as the creature was about to toss it aside. It turned to face me again, this time two red slits shined through the darkness hiding the creature's face.

'Good going John, you made it angry.' I thought to myself.

The creature charged forward, bringing its sword up in preparation of a downward slash. As it charged, I drew on more of my godly heritage, the most I had done since I learned how from my birth mother. My forearms ignited as my pyrokinetic abilities gathered strength. Soon enough I had gathered sufficient power to make it difficult to keep it contained. With my gathered pyrokinetic power I unleashed the strongest blast of fire I had ever mustered. The blast of fire struck the charging creature causing it to stop and raise its arms in an intent to block out the attack. The creature began to slide back as the intensity of the flames pushed it back. Its cloak began to burn away, and once running out of energy to keep the fire stream up, exposing the creature hiding underneath it.

To say the least this creature looked like it came straight out of some horror film. It had decayed and rusted armor with patches of old leather covering the openings in the metal armor. A dirty cloth was wrapped around the creature's helmet as if to keep the cracked warden looking helmet together. Its feet were unarmored yet covered in multiple layers of leather, some of which were freely hanging off the other layers. A huge, rusted, and miss matched metal longsword hung from a short sheath from its hip. Almost like the sword was forged from different scrap metals.

'Phase two.' I thought to myself.

Its armored hand reached for its sword hilt and pulled it from its sheath. It charged forward and brought its sword down in a vertical strike. I rolled out of the way, sending a fireball at the creature's head after recovering from the roll. The creature ducked down low using its hand to keep it's body off the ground, the creature sent a sideways slash at me forcing me to hug the floor to avoid it. The large blade sailed but an inch over my head. Seeing my chance I got back to my feet and ran at the creature's head. I had planned to stab its eye with my spear head but I found that the creature was expecting it.

In an astonishing feat of strength the creature pushed itself up with its hand twisted its body and sent its leg forward in a leg sweep. I found myself flying into one of the pillars, my upper body crashing through the pillar before slamming into the balcony railing. The air in my lungs was knocked out of my lungs causing me to gasp for air.

The creature soon walked out onto the balcony, sweeping its sword to clear the kicked-up dust and brick particles. It raised its sword up to deal the killing blow. Grinding my teeth I reached into my pocket and pulled out my lighter. As the creature brought down its sword I flicked open the lid and turned the ignitor. Fire surrounded then expanded into the shape of my black steel axe.

The creature's blade struck the shaft of my axe creating a loud clanging sound. However, the creature's attack was stopped dead in its tracks. I felt my energy return and greater than ever. With my newfound energy I pushed back on the opposing weapon sending the blade up over the creature's head. It did not lose its grip on its weapon; however the sudden force caused the creature to stumble as it tried to regain control of its sword.

Letting out a battle cry I channeled my fire into the axe. The weapon caught fire as it channeled my fire through it, the fire becoming so bright that it became difficult to see the weapon itself. With all my might I executed a downward strike, though the weapon itself did not hit anything, a fiery trail followed the axe's blade then shot out as the axe head hit the ground. The fiery slash crashed into the creature's torso sending it flying back and smashing through two pillars. The creature landed back in the throne room hitting the ground and rolling until it crashed into the two pillars on the fair side of the throne room.

I ran towards the creature jumping through the dust and back into the throne room. It had already begun to get back up albeit slowly. It shot me a sideways glare as I ran at it, clearly not pleased with my counter attack. Its free arm came up and opened its hand towards me, moments later a mass of darkness shot out from its hand rushing towards me like rushing water. I pointed my axe at the coming darkness and fired off a fireball. The mass of flames crashed into the darkness each dispelling the other.

Seeing as I was close enough, I jumped at the creature aiming to make another attack at its head. It brought up its sword to block my attack, forcing me to throw my attack into its guard. The flaming axe cashed into the creature's blade, and it struggled under the force of my attack. However, seeing as it was standing, and I was airborne it had plenty of leverage to keep it's guard up. I on the other hand only at the short burst of force my initial attack offered me. The creature was able to keep its guard up allowing it to push back once my attack lost its momentum. I was sent flying back however I managed to keep my footing on the landing, allowing me to stay upright as the momentum carried me back.

The creature raised its hand once more like before another blast of darkness rushed for me. I countered with another fireball shot from my axe. Both attacks smash into each other and like before dispelled one another. As the two attacks dispelled a blade came flying through them, the creature had used the time I lost sight of it to close the distance. I planted my feet and prepared to parry the attack.

The blade struck my axe's shaft once again. The blade was stopped yet this time, I felt myself struggling to stop the attack. Grinding my teeth, I pushed the blade over my head causing it to move past me. I channeled more of my fire through the axe this time the blast of fire launched out of the axe's pommel. The blast of fire slammed into the side of the creature's torso, taking the brunt of the attack.

The creature growled in pain before it let out a loud roar. Its body was enveloped in flames however these flames were unnatural. Instead of the normal orange these flames were black as the night and seemed to consume the light around them. Its sword was coated in the same black flames yet they seemed to consume more of the light around it. Once more the creature raised up its sword and brought it down towards me.

I blocked its sword once again, yet this time proved to be different. Unlike before the creature's sword seemed to consume the fire covering my axe, with it I felt my own strength being drained from my body. gathering what strength I had left, I pushed the creature's blade off my axe and rolled away from the sword which came crashing down into the ground where I once stood.

My breath felt heavy and all the sweat that came off me since this fight began made me feel like I had been fighting in water. The creature on the other hand looked ready for another ten rounds. It stood up straight and turned to face me, the black flame still covering its body and sword. I looked to my axe, its flame was fading to a point where the fire had retreated into the tree engraving on the axe head. Atol's words rang in my head, black steel weapons acted like an amplifier. In the end it only boosted what the wielder could do, and at this moment my reserves, both magical and physical, were running low. With this creature's ability to drain my pyrokinetic energy and convert into its own I did not stand much of a chance at this point.

The creature began to walk towards me, probably sensing I was running on fumes. At this point there was only one thing I could do.

"Lord," I began my prayer to God. "I am running empty here. I could really use your help right about now."

The creature was now standing over me, bringing its sword up to deliver the finishing blow.

Just then the doors to the throne room flung open, followed by multiple streams of darkness each of them slamming into the creature causing it to stumble back.

""JOHN!"" Two voices cried out.

I felt two pairs of hands grab onto me helping keep my already shaky footing. I looked to my sides to see Russ and Lana holding onto me, both of them with their armor deployed. Russ' blood marked helmet and Lana with her darken helmet.

It occured to me that this was the first time I had seen Lana's armor. Even back in training classes she only summoned her sword and never her armor. Her helmet was like a wardens' having a large visor over the rest of the helmet with hinges on the side allowing the wearer to move the visor up if one so wished. The front of the visor came out slightly more so than the area where her eyes were. The comb had a black plume hanging off the back of it and yet it was left to hang freely unlike other plumes I had seen.

Her left pauldron was larger than the other and came up higher to protect her head more. I almost noticed that her chest plate was one complete plate unlike other wardens who had multiple smaller plates and one larger shield looking plate over their left breast. Her armor also had that neck guard that I only saw lawbringers' armors have. Her hips and most of her legs were protected by a studded leather tasset. Her lower legs were protected by plate armor as well. All in all her armor was the spitting image of her ancestors, Apollyon, yet Lana's armor lacked any of the spikes and decayed look that Apollyon's armor had.

A hateful growl brought my attention back to the creature I had been fighting. Lord Vortiger was standing between us and the creature his soul gear deployed. The only real change from what he was wearing was that his arms were now armored, and a type of crown sat over his hood.

"You were right about one thing, young Cross." Lord Vortiger observed. "This is not something even I have encountered before."

"More trash tread upon our home. I will remove them, captain." The creature declared.

"Hmm, you think yourself a knight." Lord Vortiger spoke to the creature. "But something tells me otherwise. You're just a bundle of negative energy and emotions given shape, I will do you this favor and end your suffering."

"Our home shall not fall again!" It declared before it charged forward.

Lord Vortiger slammed his shield on the ground, a shadow raced out towards the creature. As it neared it, the shadow jumped up from the ground and slammed into the creature. The sharp sound of a sword cutting through something echoed throughout the throne room. In the next moment the creature's black flames faded. Before the creature could react to the sudden loss of its black flames a mass of darkness shot out from the ground besides the creature. The darkness slammed into the creature knocking it out of the throne room past the balcony and off the edge. It let out a loud and terrible roar as it fell from the citadel down to the buildings below.

A crash soon followed causing us to move the balcony and look over the edge. While we were very high up, something that big would have been hard to miss yet the creature had disappeared from its impact sight.

"We do not need to worry about it for now." Lord Vortiger called to us as Lana and Russ helped me back into the throne room. "Though it is not dead I banished it to the Abyss soon after it landed. I doubt it will last long there."

"Sir, what was that?" Lana asked the Lord Commander.

"Hmm, I do not know myself." The Lord Commander answered. "I have never encountered something like it in my life, but now is not the time to dwell on what it was. Now is the time to reactivate the Iron Fortress."

Though Lord Commander Vortiger was right there was something still nagging at me.

"Sir, I wanted to apolo-" I began but Lord Vortiger interrupted me.

"There is nothing to apologize for, Young Cross. The fortress is calling to you and this call is not easily resisted. I almost feel like it wanted you to face that creature yourself, it seemed to trap us in that chamber beyond the throne room doors. I doubt anyone with power lesser to that of a Lord Commander could have opened those doors." Lord Vortiger commented, approaching the throne where the lawbringer's armor sat motionless.

"I had heard rumors that Captain Adrian Thuile's armor was made from black iron. Yet I never saw it for myself."

"Black iron armor?" Russ asked aloud, he seemed shocked.

"Why is that shocking?" I asked the warden beside me.

"Black iron is very rare and is generally only used to make weapons given that the amount of black iron needed to make a full suit of armor is by comparison insane. Someone would have had to amass a fortune or found at least ten deposits of black iron ore to have it created."

"Indeed, Captain Adrian must have ejected the armor from his soul in his final moments. A risky move, it could have spelled dire consequences for the Iron Legion should it have fallen into the wrong hands." Lord Vortiger turned towards us. "Let us make haste to the central core, we can begin recovering and exploring the fortress once we are out of hostile territory."

"About that sir," Russ spoke up. "I think we have company and… they do not look like werewolves."

At the news we all made our way to the balcony and looked out into the distance. There and marching toward us were small armies worth of warriors from each faction. A dark green colored cloud followed over them shielding them from the sun and dressing them in an eerie dark green aura. At the head of their force marched a figure clad in armor but from this range I could not make out the type. The figure walked with a sword by its pomle as if it were a walking stick.

The figure stopped some distance out from the main wall, the army stopped with the figure. From this distance we could barely see where the figure was looking but even then I could not shake this feeling that we were being watched.

"It would seem one of our time tables has been sped up." Lord Vortiger observed be turned to us. "We must reactivate the fortress now."

However, just as we were about to make our way out of the fortress. A sound from within the throne room. A black portal with orange spirals opened into the throne, the sound of shifting armor followed as a woman in armor walked out. Her armor was similar to Lana's but there were more than a few differences. It was almost as if someone were paying homage to her armor design but had enough differences to be told apart from the original design.

It took me a moment to look back at the army to see the figure leading them was missing.

The newcomer turned to face us, her weapon still being used as a walking stick like we were not even a threat to her. She looked at each of us for a moment, judging us, before she looked at us as a group.

"My greetings." The woman greeted politely, bowing her head slightly. "I am Astrea, leader of the Order of Horkos. And I am here to claim my fortress."

"HELLOOOO AAAALLLLL!" Rogue said as he launched through a portal.

"Now real talk not any of this OC crap, I have been gone for a good 2-3 months and some of you might have noticed, or not as i am not that big in slims stories, other then giving him ideas and all,"

"So the reason why I have been gone is because I joined the military!" Yaaa!

"Now it is going to be a fun time as I am back and can now help more than I used to!"

"Anyways Slim wrote this chapter I believe the next one will be Lord of swords. (Need to talk to him about the lord naming thing.) And that's really it still trying to get Mordred in that story but hey why don't you go check it out if you are into fate and percy jackson." Rogue said as another portal appeared.

"Whelp time to go Aim High!" With that he jumped through.
