Chapter 2

Story Summary: Sometimes, a chance encounter at a pet shop is all it takes. A romantic comedy told in drabbles.
Disclaimer: I own nothing!

Kagome propped Buyo on her hip, then selected some tins of cat food. Lifting them one by one, she scrutinized the mass in her arms for indications of preference; yet Buyo sagged against her, an unmanageable weight sliding down her side. With a huff, Kagome hoisted him up and grabbed a few at random.

The person who'd entered the shop strolled the main aisle, a yipping puppy in tow. The pup slid on smooth linoleum, claws clicking. Its owner, wearing a sharp suit, his silver hair pulled into a high ponytail, seemed infinitely too refined for the homely pet shop.

It's a new challenge to write only in drabbles. I like it!
