"So, what's your name?"
Silence.
Kagomme looked away from her hissing feline, cocking her head at the demon. The pup still skipped around at their feet, jumping for the cat, but the man held the leash taut in his pale hand. Hmmm…maybe a different approach?
"What's your dog's name?"
"He does not have one."
"What? Why not?"
"He is… a recent acquisition."
Kagome gathered Buyo in her arms, fighting to keep his claws from scratching her.
"Well, this is Buyo," she said, hoisting the cat up. "And I'm Kagome. I'd say it's nice to meet you, but maybe it wasn't."
