January 1990 - Malfoy Manor
Nagini hissed in pleasure as her master ran his hand over her slimy scales. "Well well, Nagini," Voldemort drawled. "You may get to feast on wizard flesh today."
Suddenly, three figures walked into the room and knelt in front of him. "Ahh Yaxley, Nott, Avery," The man said. "You kept me waiting for too long."
"Forgive us, master," Nott said, trembling with fright. "We have been searching for the ones mentioned in the prophecy."
Voldemort laughed evilly as he regarded his followers. "You made me wait longer than I should have. For that, you must be punished." Nagini hissed again as she savored the thought of feasting on their soft human flesh. "Choose your next words carefully, if you don't want to become Nagini's dinner today," Voldemort continued.
The three death eaters looked at each other, faces pale with fright, as the others laughed at them in the back. "But master, we bring you news," Avery broke in. "The names of all magical families that gave birth at the end of July."
"Is that so," Voldemort mused. "Do tell."
"Yes master," Yaxley said. "The only wizarding families to bear a child at the end of July were the Potters, who had a child named Harry, Sally Jackson, who had a child named Perseus, and the Longbottoms, whose child is named Neville."
"It appears you won't have the pleasure of human flesh today, Nagini," Voldemort said, as Nagini backed away from the death eaters and curled up around Voldemort's throne in disappointment. "There there, I dare say you will have your fair share of flesh soon, my beloved pet."
Yaxley, Nott, and Avery whimpered with relief as Nagini backed away. "Thank you, Lord," they groveled, as each went forward to kiss the hem of his robes, before apparating out of the manor.
"Harry Potter, Perseus Jackson, and Neville Longbottom," The dark lord muttered to himself. "They must be taken care of immediately." He pulled his wand out of the sleeves of his robe and pointed it at the sky. "Morsmordre," he shouted, as a beam of bright green light broke through into the sky above. Where the beam hit, the sky grew increasingly dark. The clouds began to change shape, forming a skull with a writhing snake protruding from its mouth.
All at once, the room was filled with the sound of cracking, as numerous witches and wizards apparated into the room. Aside from the ones already present, the newcomers included Crabbe, Goyle, Thicknesse, Dolohov, Karkaroff, and a few others.
"Welcome, my friends," Voldemort said. "it is time for you all to prove your loyalty." He looked pointedly at his death eaters before continuing. "As you all know, a prophecy foretelling my downfall was told by a professor at Hogwarts. I intend to get rid of those mentioned in the prophecy before that can happen."
The death eaters stood still, waiting for their master to continue before Bellatrix spoke. "What would you have us do, Lord?" She questioned.
"We must kill Harry Potter, Perseus Jackson, and Neville Longbottom," Lord Voldemort said, smiling cruelly. "Bellatrix, I want you and your husband to take a group of death eaters to get rid of the Longbottom boy," he commanded.
"Yes my lord," Bellatrix said, bowing. "It shall be done." Quickly pulling aside a group of 10 death eaters, she and her husband gave one last boy before apparating away.
"Malfoy," Voldemort said, as another death eater walked to the center of the room.
"Yes, master?" Lucius Malfoy questioned. "
"You shall take another force of death eaters and seek Sally Jackson and her son," He stated. "I understand she has dropped off the grid recently. It is your responsibility to find her and get rid of Perseus."
"Yes my lord," Lucius said. "We will not let you down." Gathering his own group of death eaters, he quickly left the room as well.
He looked at the remaining death eaters. "You all can continue what you have always done...terrorize the muggles and mudblood witches and wizards." He then smirked evilly. "I shall deal with the Potter boy myself."

January 1990 - Hogwarts
Dumbledore was worried. He had been searching for months and had finally found who the ones mentioned in the prophecy were. After months of searching, he had come to the conclusion that the only three people the prophecy could entail were the Potter family, the Jackson family, and the Longbottoms. Now he just needed to figure out which of the three would be the chosen one.
This was taking him some more work. Both of them were born at similar times, with Neville Longbottom being born just a day before Perseus Jackson and Harry Potter. The prophecy could just as easily have been to either of them, which helped him reach his conclusion that he must protect all three of them to the best of his abilities. The only problem was, how would h do it?
The Longbottoms would never accept his protection, being accomplished Aurors and members of the Order themselves. Sally Jackson was nowhere to be found and hadn't been heard from in months, and her location was unknown. The only ones he was sure he could protect were the Potters. But even so, he couldn't help but worry about the other two.
Suddenly, the sound of someone banging on his door broke through the quiet of Dumbledore's office, distracting him from his pacing. Walking to the door, he opened it to find Severus Snape, bedraggled and panting with the effort of running through the whole castle to reach his study.
"Severus," Dumbledore said smiling. "Do come in, I was beginning to wonder when you would arrive."
"Professor, I made a big mistake," Snape said, walking into the room out of breath. "I was the one who-"
"I know," Dumbledore broke in calmly. "I have known from the start."
"What?!" Snape yelled. "Why didn't you say anything...Or stop me..."
"Ahh Severus, I must let my pupils make their own decisions...and I knew you would see the light eventually," Dumbledore said wisely. "So it's true, isn't it? Voldemort has found out about the three boys as well."
"Professor Dumbledore, he's going to go after the Potters himself," Snape croaked, his eyes glistening with tears threatening to fall. "He'll go after Lily-" he continued, choking up as he said the name of the girl he loved.
"You should have thought about all his before going over to the dark side, Severus," Dumbledore said gravely. "Lily would never respect you after that."
"Please Professor," Snape pleaded. "Protect her."
"This is about Lily isn't it," Dumbledore said with a raised eyebrow. "And what will I get from you in return for this."
"Anything," Snape croaked. "I'll do anything, just-"
"And what of the boy, Severus?" Dumbledore said with disappointment. "What do you suppose will become of him?"
A tear glistened down Snape's cheeks. "Take them all then," He said. "Hide them, keep them all safe."
"You must first promise me something in exchange for this," Dumbledore said. "All this time, you stayed with us in order to spy for him. Now, you must stay with him in order to spy for us."
"I'll do it, Professor," Snape said. "I do not like the dark lord's methods any more than you do. I will do everything I can to help."
"Good," Dumbledore said, smiling at his newest ally. "I promise you I will do everything I can to keep the Potters safe from Voldemort."
"Thank you, professor," Snape said, before, leaving the room. He would have to start immediately. Spying on the dark lord wouldn't be an easy task. But he would manage it. For Lily's sake.
Heyyyyy, it's your favorite time skip ever, I'm back, didja all miss me? *cups hands around my ears*
"Hello? Really? Is no one going to reply? Fine, be that way."
Anyway, I'm back, so like, at least pretend to be happy. I'm throwing y'all forward in time to a few hours cause why not, and also what are the chances that Snape and Dumbledore are discussing the Potter's predicament at the same time that Poseidon is discussing with Sally (hint hint, it would be too much of a coincidence).
SOO YEAAA, WHOOOSSSHH, WE ARE OFFICIALLY 5 HOURS INTO THE FUTURE
January 1990 - Jackson Residence
"Sally!" An urgent voice called from the living room. Noticing the urgency in the voice, Sally Jackson quickly dashed into the living room to find Poseidon, a look of terror on his face.
"Poseidon," Sally said surprised. "What's the matter? Is something wrong?"
"You remember what I told you about Percy right?" Poseidon questioned. "ABout him being a wizard too?" Sally only nodded as Poseidon continued. "A prophecy was given a few months back, telling the downfall of the evil wizard you all know as Lord Voldemort. The prophecy stated explicitly that the one with the power to defeat the dark lord would be born at the end of July."
Sally gasped in fright. "Do you mean to say that Percy-" She began to question, as Poseidon held up a hand to silence her.
"I do not know, Sally. There are 2 other boys born at the same time as well," Poseidon said. "The prophecy could easily go for any of the three. I do not know which one, but we must keep Percy safe."
"What can I do though?" Sally asked.
"Dumbledore has personally looked after the safety of the Potter boy. The Longbottom child is protected by his parents, both experienced Aurors and members of the order," Poseidon informed her. "To protect Percy, I have placed some powerful charms around this house, but I am no god of magic. These spells will not last for long. A few months at the most. During this time, I will be making arrangements for you to stay in America."
"Move to America? But Poseidon, are you sure that's safe?" Sally asked, knowing that they would be in the greek sphere of influence.
"He will be safer there for the time being," Poseidon stated. "At least until he learns the truth about his heritage."
"I trust you," Sally said confidently.
"Im glad," Poseidon said. "Sally, he will have to return here when he turns 11, until then he must not know about either of the worlds he is a part of. Once the child realizes, it is only a matter of time before the monsters realize as well."
"Understood. Don't worry, Poseidon," Sally said. "He will be raised without knowledge of any of this until he is ready."
Poseidon nodded gravely and gave his wife a quick hug and a kiss before his body turned into pure liquid and disappeared.
Time skip: "Well well well" *smirks evilly* "We meet again"
me: "Ugh just get on with it"
Time skip: "ok ok fine, we're skipping to the next day, where dumbledore will discuss his plans with the Potters and the other Marauders" *snaps fingers* "Boom- done, now shoo"
January 1990 - Potter Household
"Aww," Lily cooed softly at the baby crying in her arms. "Hey James, I think he wants his milk, can you fetch it from the kitchen."
"Of course," James said, as he went to get Harry his milk. All of a sudden, a crack resonated through the air as Dumbledore appeared in the Potters' living room.
"Professor Dumbledore!" Lily said with surprise. "Nice to see you again."
"My apologies for apparating inside uninvited," Dumbledore said, tipping his hat at them. "But I had urgent matters to discuss," He added gravely.
Looking at Dumbledore's expression, Lily realized the urgency in his eyes. She gestured to the couches in the living room, taking a seat in one as Dumbledore sat in the other. "James," She called into the kitchen. "Dumbledore is here and wants to talk to us."
"Coming!" James called back. A minute later he appeared with a small baby bottle of milk in one hand. "Hi Professor," James said. "Is something wrong?"
"You all have heard about Professor Trelawney's prophecy, correct?" Dumbledore asked.
"Yes, we have," Lily said nervously. "We had a feeling..." She started to say.
"You were right," Dumbledore said, knowing what she was going to say next. "Harry may very well be the child of the prophecy," Dumbledore said with a sigh.
"But I'm sure there are lots of other babies born at the end of August too, Professor," James argued.
"There are, but only 3 of them are wizards," Dumbledore informed him. "The other two are Sally's son Percy both of whom are off the grid, and the Longbottoms boy, Neville, who is protected by the order and his parents."
"So there's a 1/3 chance that Harry here may be the one?" Lily asked.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," Dumbledore said. "I have a way we could protect Harry."
"What do you propose?" James questioned.
"I think we should use the Fidelius charm on this house," Dumbledore said. "I suggest on one of your old friends to be secret keeper. Only after hearing of the location through them, can Lord Voldemort find the three of you."
"I'm ok with that idea," James said. "But will they agree to it?"
"Let's ask them," Dumbledore said smiling, before he snapped his fingers, causing Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew to appear in the Potter's living room. The three newcomers shook their heads confused, before realizing where they were. In the next few minutes, Dumbledore explained his plan to the other marauders.
"Who should be secret keeper," James asked.
"How about Sirius?" Dumbledore suggested.
"I beg to differ, professor," Sirius said. "Voldemort would be sure to come after me, and would do his very best to get the secret out of me," he continued.
"Who do you suggest?" Lily asked him.
"I think you should use Peter," He said. "The dark lord wouldn't bother to go after him, nor would he suspect that we would use Peter as the secret keeper."
"That's a good idea," James broke in. "Peter, would you agree to do it?"
"I-me?" Peter squeaked. "I-i mean..ok..I'll do it."
"Excellent," Professor Dumbledore said, before casting the spell around the home. "You all are now hidden from everyone's view. The only ones who can see this place are us and the ones you or Peter give the location to."
"Perfect, this way we can keep Harry, James, and Lily safe," Remus remarked confidently.
"Stay safe, you may be our only hope," The professor continued gravely, as he apparated back to Hogwarts.
