A.N.: So, Gina has been steadily becoming one of my OTPs, and I finally got the courage to write something for it... Thank you to Plato for giving me some philosophy to reference.

Warnings: Femslash, references to girls kissing

Disclaimer: Don't own Harry Potter

Maybe it's because they're so different that they work so well together; they are almost complete opposites.

One, the yin – not dark in and of herself, but dark in contrast; she is the one who is filled with passion, whose kisses leave you breathless but begging for more. She is down-to-earth and 'sensible', filled the fire that fights the injustices of their world.

The other, yang, shines like the moon that she is named after, bright and otherworldly. She flies with her head in the clouds and is sweet; she would lie by your side for hours and press kisses to your lips when you least expect it, kisses that don't last nearly long enough but you never mourn their passing because you know that there will always be more on the way.

When they are together, they are complete; they never work so well when they are apart. Up to this point, they have been searching for the other half of their souls, with disappointingly unsuccessful results, until they found them in each other as one read philosophy under the tree by the Lake in the glittering summer and the other teased on her broomstick, threatening to splash the beautifully cool water over the first.

They are almost complete opposites. But maybe that's why they work so well.
