It was Halloween at camp half-blood, all the cabins were decorated for the festive theme, the Hades cabin had actual skeletons walking around in front. If you approach them they say "Trick or treat." if you answer treat they hand you candy if you answer a trick they point to the door. The door to the cabin hung open with a sign reading enter at your peril. The doorway seemed to suck in the light of a dark rectangle looming before you. (If you enter, go to chapter two.)
The Demeter cabin had grown several massive pumpkins each one nearly as large as their cabin and had created massive jack lanterns each one glowing with an eerie light. Their gaping mouths seemed to be laughing, their eyes carved or enchanted in a way that seemed to follow you as you approached the house. One particular jack-o-lantern appeared to have an even bigger mouth than usual, open wide as if it was about to swallow you up. It appeared as if you could climb into the jack-o-lanterns mouth with little trouble. Next to the jack-o-lantern, there was another sign reading enter at your own peril. (if you enter go to chapter three.)
The Athena cabin was decorated like a haunted house, the campers that were not out trick or treating themselves were dressed as ghosts, most just had sheets over their heads with eyes cut out but a few had managed to find some magical way to make themselves appear translucent, they looked like real ghosts. Stepping into the cabin the beds of the campers that had made themselves translucent were filled with fake manakins that looked like the campers making it appear as if they had passed away in their sleep and that their ghosts were now haunting the cabin. At the back of the room was the head camper's bedroom, "Beware of ghosts" was painted on the door, and hanging from the doorknob was another sign that read "Enter at your own peril".(if you enter go to chapter four.) Leaving the Athena cabin you continue through the camp.
