"Erin, come on out honey. I'd like you to meet my partner." She said, Booth smiled at his best friend, "Erin," he whispered to himself. Booth saw the teenage girl come out of the guest bedroom he'd slept in a few times, she got closer, and he saw those blue eyes, and her dark hair. Erin smiled and took out her hand, "It's nice to finally meet you Agent Booth, Erin Grace Stier." She spoke confidently. Booth shook her hand, "Erin it's a pleasure to meet you. Just call me Booth, please. Can I -hug you?" He asked nervously. Erin laughed, "Sure, a hug would be fine." She said. Booth took the teenager and gave her a hug. Erins facial expression clearly displayed how tightly he had hugged her. They all stood apart, "Geez, Bones. She looks just like you." He said, continuing to look between the two. Erin laughed, "I'd say so, same genetic markers, even the same zygomatic arch." she said. Booth took one look at Brennan, "Yeah, Bones she's definitely yours." he chuckled. Brennan knew he was referring to her way of speaking. "Booth brought a ton of takeout! Your favorite Erin, you'll love Wung Fu's." Brennan said while placing her arm around Erin. "Look at that, I got your favorite. Well, it's your mom's favorite and mine as well. We usually always eat this or food from the diner."
Booth said as they all made their way to the table. The three struck up a conversion and Erin took to Booth quite well. Booth had mentioned he was a Flyers Fan and to everyone's surprise, "Oh, really. I am a BlackHawks Fan. My dad and I had season tickets. I love hockey." she said while continuing to eat her noodles. Booth's eyes lit up, "Do you like to watch the games on TV?" he asked. Erin laughed, "Yes, I do. However, I tend to get carried away when Shaw is off his A game. Or when D isn't catching up they way they should. My dad banned drinks when watching the games. I..kept spilling out of anger." Erin admits sheepishly. "It's not something I'm proud to admit, but it happens." she said and looked to her mother, "Just something you should know," she laughed and so did the adults at the table, "Oh, Bones. We're gonna have a great time!" he said. The three finished up their late lunch and Booth said his goodbyes. Erin smiled as her mom closed the door, "He is quite amusing. He also has spectacular symmetrical bone structure." Erin said. Brennan couldn't help to think, she is definitely mine. Erin yawned and sat down on the couch which Brennan obviously noticed. "If you're too tired to go get a bed we can always do it tomorrow," Brennan said as she sat across from her. Erin sat up, "Who said I'm tired? My brain just needed oxygen and well…. I need coffee. If you're up for it, I'm up for it." Erin said smiling.
Brennan stood up and smiled but knew she had to make a stop at the Jeffersonian. She didn't want to risk bumping into her friends during their shopping. Erin could tell that her mother was thinking, "Is there something else we need to do?" she asked. Brennan chuckled, "Yes. I think we need to introduce you to my colleagues at the Jeffersonian." She said nervously. Erin walked over to the couch her mom was sitting on and sat down next to her. "I don't mind meeting them. You're nervous aren't you?" Erin asked. Brennan nodded, "Yes. A little, but I am confident that it will go well." Brennan said. Erin smiled and looked at her outfit, "Do you mind if I change? I don't want them to look at me like this." she asked, Brennan looked at her, "Honey, you look great! But, if you'd like to change. Go right ahead." Erin chuckled and ran to her room to change. Erin walked back to see her mother had changed as well, "Ready?" Erin asked and Brennan nodded, "Ready, shall we?" she asks as she points to the door. Erin followed her mother to the door and they both proceeded to the Jeffersonian.
Erin approached the entrance of the Jeffersonian and smiled, "Has my dad been here?" she asked while staring at the building. Brennan saw the sadness in Erin's eyes and responded, "Yes. Once. He actually applied for my position. But, I got it.." she said the last part quietly. Erin nodded and attempted to smile. Brennan continued to walk up the stairs and Erin soon followed. Erin trailed behind Brennan as they entered the Medical Legal Lab. The first person they encountered was Cam. "Dr. Brennan!" Cam's voice echoed, Cam approached Brennan from the forensic platform but Brennan immediately joined her. Erin was standing by a pillar, hidden. "Hi Cam, do we have a case?" Brennan asked as she looked at the remains on the table. Cam shook her head, "No, just ancient remains. Again, I'm sorry for your loss Dr. Brennan." she replied solemnly. Brennan smiled, "Thank you. I'll be okay." she responded. As soon as she was about to continue her sentence, Hodgins, Angela, and Zack entered the platform. "Sweetie!" Angela shouted and immediately hugged her best friend. "How are you doing?" she asks. Before Brennan could respond both Hodgins and Zack in unison said, "We're sorry for your loss, Dr. Brennan." Brennan chuckled, "Thank you everyone." she turned to Angela, "I'm fine, I'll be okay. But, there is something I have to tell you. All of you." she said.
