As Booth and Brennan continued to investigate Dr. Ian Wexler's murder Erin continued to speak to Vincent but unable to see him as he went back to Leeds. She had shipped all her mother's gifts to the Jeffersonian and placed all the luggage back in the hotel. Erin knew she wouldn't be seeing much of her mother and Booth. She decided to continue to roam and observe Oxford's student life. She took a seat in the courtyard with a cup of black coffee and a journal in front of her. Her headphones were blaring and she was engrossed in her writing and her music.

She spent her time talking to Vincent on the phone and taking many pictures of London. She even got a ride on a moped from an off duty bobbie. She was reading a book in her hotel room when both her mother and Booth walked in. "Hi, catch a murderer?" Erin asked as Booth collapsed onto Erin's bed, causing her journal to jump out of her hand. She took the journal and hit his back playfully. Brennan chuckled, "We did. It was one of his students. Working on the grave site." she said as she sat across from Erin. Brennan looked around the room, "Where are all my presents?" she asked. Booth sat up on the bed and looked around as well. "I shipped them to the Jeffersonian." Erin said while trying to hold in a laugh. "I didn't want to have to pack up the cab with them again." she said, shrugging her shoulders. Brennan stood up, "We should go before someone else gets killed." and Erin immediately stood up and so did Booth. "Yeah, you're right. My arms, Lady Temperance and Lady Erin." he said while placing his arms out for the girls to hold onto. "Thank you Sir Seeley." mother and daughter said in unison.

The trio arrived home and Erin was incredibly happy to be back on American Soil. "Despite the murders, I had a good time. I made a brilliant friend and took many pictures." Erin said as she took a seat on the couch. Brennan smiled as she took a water bottle out of the fridge, "I'm glad honey. I'm sorry I wasn't able to spend much time with you." she said as she sat next to her. Erin had her eyes closed, "You don't have to apologize. I'll see you at home and the lab." she sighed heavily and continued to groan. "I start school in two weeks. I know that the box on the counter contains my uniforms." she said as she began to rub her eyes and leaned her head on her mothers shoulder. "I really hope DC kids aren't as snobby as the ones in Chicago. However, my gut is telling me they are. Children of judges, politicians, attorneys, blah blah blah." she continued. Brennan couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's dramatics. She played with Erin's hair, "Are you at least excited about one thing at your new school?" she asked. Erin looked at the ceiling as her head was now laying on her mothers lap. "Yes, actually. I read that their volleyball team is pretty good. I'd like to try out. Would you come watch me play? If I make the team?" Erin asked as she looked up at her mom. Brennan smiled, "Of course! I'm sure everyone would come to watch you play." she said as she squeezed her daughter's nose. Erin crinkled up her face, "Booth, too right?" she asked. Brennan rolled her eyes, "Yes, especially Booth. He'll be there." Erin smiled, "Awesome. I'm going to take a shower and bury myself in blankets." she said as she sat up, "Thanks for the trip, mom. I loved it. I love you. Good night!" she said as she gave Brennan a hug. Brennan would never tire of those words. "Good night, sweetheart. You're most definitely welcome. I will be doing the same." Brennan said as she kissed Erin's forehead. Erin got up and retreated to her bedroom and Brennan stayed in the living room for a moment.

She began to hear Inspector Pritchards words echo in her mind, 'I don't recommend foregoing Everest,' as she looked at her lit up cell phone with Booth's good night text. She smiled and sent a good night text as well. She stood up and began to hear the soft music coming from Erin's bedroom. She smiled and turned off the lights in her home and retreated to her bedroom.

Erin sat on her bed with her towel wrapped around her, she was scrolling through her pictures. Deciding which one she should upload when she stumbled upon a picture of Ellie and the rest of her friends hanging out in Grant Park. They were all at Lollapalooza, Chicago's music festival always held in August. "Lucky bitches," she whispered to herself. She sighed and plugged in her phone next to her bedside table. "I have no friends here, my age. Starting a new school which requires uniforms and no license. Well..yet.'' she continued talking to herself because who else was going to listen. Vincent? No, he was across the pond and Erin was not sure he would want to listen to her teenage antics. Also, Erin never disclosed to Vincent how old she was. She didn't want Vincent to think she was a baby. Erin was continuing to talk to herself but was startled when her mom knocked on the door. "Erin? I'm going to do a load of laundry, have anything you want washed?" Brennan said while opening the door. Erin was still in her towel on her bed, "Yea-sure." Erin said as she held onto her towel and handed her mom some of her dark blouses. "Figuring things out?" Brennan asked. Erin looked confused, "If you heard me talking to myself, yes. Yes, trying at least." she confessed. Brennan placed the clothes in the basket she was holding, "Well, if you need any help, I'm down the hall." she said as she winked and walked away. "Thanks, Mom!" Erin said loudly as she closed her door to get dressed.
