Chapter 14:
As the Chaos from the final event calmed down, Zest rubbed her temples as she walked with Moka and Kokoa.
"And you do this kind of stuff every day?" Zest asked as she glanced at the two younger vampires.
"Essentially." Outer Moka replied as she winced, her body aching from Zest's attack.
"That must be a headache." Zest replied as she sighed.
"Anyway…" Ling-ling said quite loudly as she was talking to Tsukune and the others, drawing Moka and Kokoa's attention. "I have transferred into Yokai Academy as a third-year student, since I am already dead, they couldn't decipher my age."
"WHAT!" Everyone screamed.
Zest chuckled a bit before her ears picked up on a cracking sound coming from Moka's Rosary.
Meanwhile…
Kahlua knocked on Akua's door.
She smiled as she heard tiny foot steps running to the door, which was answered by Mei-feng.
AUNTIE KAHLUA!" She cheered loudly, jumping into Kahlua's arms for a hug.
"Hey, my Tiny Wind." Kahlua said before kissing her niece on the cheek. "How have you been since I left?"
"I've been good." Mei-feng replied giddily. "I've been studying and playing with Max."
"Kahlua." Akua said as she exited the kitchen with a serious tone.
Kahlua picked up on this and set Mei-feng down.
"Sorry, Tiny Wind, but I will need a minute with your mother before we can play." Kahlua promised as she held out her pinky.
Mei-feng pouted as she Pinky Promised with Kahlua before she ran into the other room where Max was sleeping.
"So, you guys really found him." Akua asked once she knew her daughter was safely out of hearing range.
"Yes," Kahlua said tearfully with a bright smile. "We found Naruto in the arctic. He is here now, and Mother is doing research on how to release him."
Akua's eyes widened for the briefest second.
"Do you know why she is wanting to release Naruto?" Akua asked calmly. "Because, if our guess is true…"
"She is trying to unseal Alucard." Kahlua confirmed. "She wants to use it's power. For what, she never told me, but she trusted me with this knowledge."
Akua sat down, hands on her chin.
'How can I prevent this?' She pondered worriedly. 'I already lost Akasha and Naruto once, I don't want to lose anyone else I love.'
Akua's cellphone went off.
"Hello." Akua answered.
"Hey, it's me." Zest said on the other side. "I feel like we will be cancelling that meet and greet, because Moka's seal is weakening. SO, they might go to Master Fuhai for restoration."
Akua and Kahlua took a moment to process and think.
"You think we should ambush them?" Kahlua asked cautiously. "Because if we do, we risk having Moka die. And we don't want that."
"No, we don't, because we are also in a lot of trouble." Zest reported. "I know where the keys to Naruto's seal are."
Meanwhile, Science Division…
Gyokuro hummed as she looked at the seal on Naruto's abdomen through the clear crystal that he was encased in.
'What to do to release this.' Gyokuro thought as she pondered several methods of removal. 'There are two seals. The one on his stomach clearly is keeping Alucard inside of him. But then a second seal on top of it is keeping this crystal seal in tact to keep people from releasing the first seal.'
The door to the science division opened.
"Mother…"
Gyokuro turned to see Akua, Kahlua, and Mei-feng (Holding Akua's hand) enter the room.
"What do you need, Kahlua?" Gyokuro asked, ignoring the presence of Akua and Mei-feng.
"OOOOO! What's that!" Mei-feng asked in excitement, pointing to Naruto.
She struggled against Akua's grip as she tried to run to the slab of crystal to look inside.
"No running, dear." Akua said as she scooped her daughter into her arms and walked to the crystal, only to see Gyokuro's arm block their path.
"That's as close as I'll allow you to be." Gyokuro stated as she glared viciously at Akua. "Don't want to have it… ruined."
Akua nodded as Mei-feng pouted.
"But I want to see!" She stated childishly.
Before Gyokuro could respond, she witnessed Akua and Kahlua's necklaces glow.
As they did, the Crystal's light landed on Naruto's sealed body and it cracked.
Whipping her head around, gyokuro smirked as she figured out what happened.
Within a blink of an eye, the crystal necklaces were in Gyokuro's hand, pressed against the crystal, cracking it further before their light faded.
"Damn." Gyokuro growled before she replaced the disappointment she felt with optimism. "But at least it is a start."
She turned back to Kahlua.
"Uhm, can I have that back?" Kahlua asked nervously, looking at her necklace.
'They have served their purpose, so why not.' Gyokuro thought as she tossed both of them to Kahlua, who caught them. 'Now, I need to locate the missing keys. I feel like I know where they are.'
As Gyokuro left, Kahlua returned Akua's necklace.
"You sure this was a wise idea?" Kahlua asked as she put Akua's necklace around her neck.
"Yes, because now her attention will be focused on retrieving the other three in… Well, with her distracted we can act more in the shadows than out in the open." Akua replied.
"Who is this?" Mei-feng asked as she touched the crystal, having jumped out of Akua's arms. "He looks funny. What's he doing in there, mommy?"
Kahlua glanced at Akua, who knelt next to Mei-feng.
"This, Tiny Wind," Akua stated as she put her hand on Mei-feng's shoulder, pulling her close as she became saddened. "Is Naruto Uzumaki. He is your daddy."
"Daddy?" Mei-feng repeated as she looked at Naruto. "But he is in there. Why?"
Akua felt a bit choked up.
"Your daddy is protecting so many people, Mei-feng." Kahlua answered as she knelt next to her niece. "And that includes the three of us."
Mei-feng smiled as she looked at Naruto, putting her arms against the crystal as she 'hugged' it.
"Hello, daddy." Mei-feng stated. "I'm proud of you, and love you."
Akua and Kahlua felt like crying.
That Evening, China…
"So, they might be coming to China to get the seal fixed, and the keys to releasing Naruto are the necklaces he gave you." Fuhai repeated as he talked to Zest over the phone while reading one of his favorite manga.
"Yes, I am wondering what to do. Should I stay with them and guard them? Or should I go into hiding to keep the key safe. Or should I take Moka's and Kokoa's crystals too and got into hiding." Zest spoke in an unsure tone.
Fuhai didn't know what to say.
"Maybe, just maybe, we should let things play out." He spoke as he turned the page. "Stay at the Academy until they make their decision and come with them. From what Akua and Kahlua said, they have top notch assassins."
Yokai Academy…
"Yes, Master." Zest replied before hanging up her phone.
In her mind, Zest knew that protecting the seal and the world from Alucard was correct, but in her selfish heart, she wanted to see Naruto again.
'Akua and Kahlua must be feeling the same way.' Zest pondered as she stretched her arms.
It was evening now at Yokai Academy, the setting sun burning the skies in various shades of orange and pinks.
'Seems like it is going to be a quiet night tonight.' Zest thought as she headed toward the girl's dorms. 'I might as well break into one of the empty rooms.'
As she walked, Zest passed by a vending machine.
'I could use a drink.' She thought as she felt a bit parched.
Grabbing a few cans of Tomato juice, Zest entered the girl's dormitory and found an empty room, breaking the door open easily before entering the bare room.
'It's better than sleeping outside.' Zest thought as she closed the door, jamming it closed before she drew the blinds and turned on the lights.
Putting the cans on the counter, Zest located the can opener before using it to open one can, poking two holes across from each other.
Zest drank it and sighed.
'Today was very fun.' Zest thought as she smiled.
She took another chug of the tomato juice before she removed her suit jacket, hanging it up on one of the hangers before she continued to strip to her underwear.
'Boy, its hot tonight.' She thought as she turned on the AC.
After finishing her cans of tomato juice, Zest went to bed.
Skip…
"What?" Inner Moka said as she looked around. "What is… the rosary is back on but I am still here?"
"Oh-ho…" Fang-fang mused as he walked towards her with Ling-ling and Zest. "Seems the seal is near its breaking point."
"What?" Tsukune asked as the setting sun drew closer to the ground.
"it's as they said, Tsukune." Zest stated as she looked at the rosary. "The seal is breaking. And from the looks of it…"
"It has been damaged for roughly a year now." Ling-ling finished with an amused face. "What could have happened to make this possible, I wonder."
Moka and Tsukune thought back and remembered their fight with a former friend, current enemy, named Kaneshiro Hokuto.
'So, it has been since then.' Moka thought as she sighed in worry. 'Outer…'
'Yes?'
Moka stiffened in surprise as she looked around.
"Where…"
'Right here.' The Rosary spoke. 'I am surprised too. I mean, I never tried talking to you through the rosary…'
"Moka?" Zest asked in worry.
Moka smiled.
"It's okay, everyone." She said reassuringly. "Outer… she is still with us."
"Well, since that is done, let's complete our part of the agreement." Ling-ling stated. "We shall take you all to China."
Fairy Tale HQ, next day…
"SO NO CHI NO SADOME…" Mei-feng sang as she watched the intro to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood with Max beside her. "JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJO!"
"You like this show, don't you?" Akua inquired as she brought some simple sandwiches out with her.
Mei-feng nodded her head.
"Of course," She declared as she struck a pose, her thumb pointed toward herself. "KONO DIO DA!"
"Well, then, DIO," Akua said as she pulled out a Stone Mask from somewhere. "I REJECT MY HUMANITY!"
"NOOOO!" Mei-feng shouted as she went to stop her mom, only to see a bright light emit from the mask. "BUT HOW CAN YOU REJECT YOUR HUMANITY IF YOU NEVER HAND ANY?"
"Oh, you're right!" Akua gasped, the mask falling off to reveal her shocked gasp face, making Mei-feng laugh.
"You're funny mommy." Mei-feng giggled as she took a sandwich and sat in Akua's lap, returning her attention to the TV, seeing Jonathan Joestar be pushed back by Dire to take his shot at Dio Brando.
Akua started to eat as her phone went off.
'So, they are on their way to the airport.' Akua thought as she read Zest's text message.
Shooting a quick warning, Akua sent a message to Kiria Yoshi and Kaneshiro Hokuto.
First Division…
Kiria opened his phone when it rang, and smirked.
"Seems we have a mission, First Division Commander." Kiria chuckled as he tossed his phone to his wheel chair bound commander.
Hokuto caught it and examined its contents.
'Moka, Tsukune…' He thought as he cracked a dark grin. 'I've been waiting for a moment to kill you with my own hands, especially after our fight.'
"So, who should we send?" Kiria asked as he walked behind Hokuto and wheeled him to the air ship.
"They will most likely go to China by plane. So, send the gremlin." Hokuto stated as the boarded. "We will take a boat, so we can retrieve it when the plane crashes."
"Oh, going for an old classic manuever?" Kiria asked with a chuckle.
Hokuto scoffed with a smirk, his eyes narrowing.
"Just do as you're told."
"As you wish, Commander." Kiria replied as he took his phone and made a call.
Airport…
"Wow!" Said Tsukune and the girls as they saw the Jumbo Jet that Ling-ling, Fang-fang, and Zest led them to. "You guys OWN this thing?"
"They own more than you think, remember, they are the children of the Chinese Mafia Head." Zest reminded him, wearing a tank top and pants with a pair of regular running shoes.
"Oh, right." Tsukune said in depression.
As the rest boarded the train, Zest kept a watchful eye out and her ears open for any one or sound that could be threatening to their flight.
'I may know an attack is coming thanks to Akua, but she was unable to tell me who or what would attack.' Zest thought as she got on board, the plane's engines starting up.
When everyone was seated, Zest placed a silencing seal on the plane, protecting it from being listened in on.
"Everyone, I have to tell you all something important." Zest stated urgently, getting the teens attention. "This plane will be attacked at some point during our journey."
Chapter 14, DONE!
I had fun with this chapter. Getting to reveal some stuff, hopefully you guys were paying attention.
